  1. I've recently returned to the game after years of being away. On my most advanced characters, I had to work through all of the v6 content before I could reach the v7 content. For each character. That's rough for altaholics, especially since the biggest differences in story are only between the two factions.

To improve the player experience, completing the 7.0 quest line on any Pub or Imp character should create a faction unlock to allow for any level 74 character to start the 7.0 quest line of that faction. Either "default" choices can be assumed or there can be a choice selection menu to indicate what the character did in certain circumstances that impact how other characters react.

From what I recall, going back many years, there used to be the ability to start the new content within one or two levels of the old max level.

If the game gets an 8,0, they should do the same thing and allow Pub/Imp unlocks after the first completion of 8.0 story to allow any level 78 of that faction to start the 8.0 story.

  2. I'm really hoping Star Citizen will be the shakeup that the genre could use. I was certainly hoping for some aspects of that to be in SWTOR. GSF is not that.

Here are my personal desires as an MMO player:

    -High graphics

    -Outstanding gameplay & story

-Flexible ways of playing together with friends and strong social tools (guild features, buildings, etc)

-High level of character avatar & clothing customization and some type of "player housing"

    -Minimal bugs

    -Open & interactive world

-Places for the PVP and PVE community to exist independently within the same game without taking away from either.

-Robust crafting system & player economy

-No traditional "servers" that segregate the community, except possibly for world regions.

  3. Its the most relevant thread on these boards. Why not post in it do you mind me asking? Is it because you don't like the fact it sheds light on an area you are desiring to keep in the dark? White knights only like blowing sunshine and rainbows where they can get away with it by not being confronted with un deniable facts. This thread has un deniable facts that can not be contested therefore white knights want it to go away. People post on issues they want to post about. To try to squelch them just iron stamps the relevance of their post.

You've already said you subbed for one month but decided to not even reinstall the game. Don't bump your own post after 23 days. If you've left the game, fine, bye. Now it's just looking like you paid $15 to haunt the forums.

  4. It's clear that they'd rather avoid the whole server merger issue with character renaming and associated complaints. Instead, they can just force people to pay for the transfers if they want to be on a server with any substantial population.

A server merge would be the responsible thing to do, but they're most likely not going to do it. Either you pay for the transfer (now while it's on sale), you have fun with the low pop, or you put the game down until they take action (which may be never).

  5. Having a tight-knit community is awesome, but I'd rather not have that at the expense of everything else. This is supposed to be a multiplayer game. An MMO. Jung Ma feels like I'm paying 15$ a month to play a single player game. I rolled here for RP, and PvP. All I hear from BWArts is "chirp chirp".

BioWare has offered 12x xp and very cheap transfers to allow those to make or move characters on other servers. If Jung Ma isn't what you're looking for anymore, they've offered two valid ways of moving elsewhere. Please don't force a merge - especially to a different server type - to those that wish to stay.

  6. This server has always basically been a standard pvp server.

The only difference is, the RPers rolled here as well.

Thus the whole "RP-PVP" thing. It was hard enough where many RPers who enjoyed open world PVP felt like a minority on an RP-PVP server compared to the PVPers... imagine the frustration on a pure PVP server.

I'd rather that Jung Ma be a small community where I can have characters on other servers as well than have Jung Ma absorbed into something it was never intended to be, namely, either a pure PVP or RP-PVE server.

Good luck to the PVP servers, if that's their wish.

  7. It also depends if you are raising a gathering crew skill along with the leveling. I just leveled a dedicated gatherer and it took a bit of time to make sure everything was where it should be before I moved on.

Pro tip: Quickest way for salvaging and bioanalysis is to harvest dead silver creatures (bio) or droids (salvaging). At every 5 levels of the creature/droid, the skill required goes up by 50 points. Keep doing this until you've done 50 points, and then move on. Harvesting will still be yellow at this point.

The other crew skill I picked was slicing. It was a toss up between that and archaeology. I picked slicing because in addition to the extra money, I could keep the top tier slicing missions going for the purples.

  8. Remove bolster from all ranked.

    Remove ranked comms from regs.

    Add 2018 expertise gate.

I agree with all except your second point. I think you have it backwards... They should remove all regular WZ rewards from the daily/weekly Ranked WZ quests.

As a new 60, there is NO incentive for me to NOT queue Ranked WZs. Doing both the ranked and unranked daily/weekly quests is the fastest way to get geared first with regular then ranked gear.

You still do want a way for people to get ranked gear when playing unranked WZ's. That way they will have all unranked gear and a couple pieces of ranked gear when they start queuing for ranked wz's.

If you have the expertise gate, you could get rid of regular wz comms from the ranked quest rewards as well, because at that point people are either feeding alts or just converting the regular wz comms to ranked comms.

  9. How is one forced to 'deal' with General chat on a fleet? Click a button, and you don't see it. Pretty much the same effect of a General chat on a ship that isn't even used.

Instead, in my strongholds, all I see in General are LFG's for low-level heroic quests for that planet. Pointless.

  10. How about maybe the same guild ship (requires no dev resources) but if purchased at a lesser amount, additional decks can't be unlocked.

All you get is the initial deck unlock and that's it.

Additionally you wouldn't be able to participate in planetary conquest with it or receive any other guild ship support functions.

It would literally be nothing more than a regular stronghold but with a nice view of space out the window.

However, you could upgrade it to "full" usability by purchasing an upgrade token or something which would cost the difference between the original guild ship price and whatever was charged for this lesser model.

That would give smaller guilds the chance to play with a guild ship but wouldn't allow them to buy into the conquest game any cheaper.

I am actually shocked to read such a practical idea on these forums! Good proposal.

  11. Then disable General Chat! It's that easy if you don't want to read it.

What is so wonderful about "General" chat on your ship? It's never used. So you could just as easily disable General chat on your ship and stronghold, as well.

I wish to be able to access the fleet General, PVP, and Trade channels from ships and strongholds.

Again, if you don't want to read general chat, disable it! Don't prevent desired connectivity for the rest of us.
