  1. Agreed. I took my hands off the keyboard after the 3rd knock back and stun at one point and could only laugh. To my original question: where do you all find the most success on the map?
  2. Just for the record, if can get better while we are broken, how good will we be when we are fixed?
  3. Huttball was a bit frustrating for me last night. It was more than likely my fault for putting myself in bad situations, but I want some input on where Sentinels position themselves. I counted a streak of getting pushed back or knocked down 3 times in a row. Countless times I would get knocked back and immediately stunned in the acid or fire. Eventually I found my groove by going into the death pits and the sides of the map. Going on the catwalks was just pointless. Anyone else have useful tips? Do you all seem to be most successful in the pits and sides like I was?
  4. I agree with the first part. Our top request right now should be fixing the bugs/stuttering. Force Leap and Leg Slash seem to be enough to keep those ranged classes nearby.
  5. I could have answered your question better...sorry. Watchman gets better at level 20 when you get OS. Until then just be patient. Mobs are still weak enough at your level that your current abilities and cauterize do enough damage.
  6. Overload Saber is very rewarding. There are talents you need to spec in to increase crit chance and crit damage for burn effects. The healing talent is great as well. The difficulty of Watchmen is maintaining the burn effects. It becomes great in PvP when you can get Watchman which reduces the cd of Pacify and Force Kick.
  7. Good post! The Sent forum is becoming redundant with the QQers. Instead of complaining they need to read other posts for help or tips. These posts are trash and taking up space for what could be valuable and insightful posts.
  8. It takes a beast of a pc to play this game smoothly.
  9. Thank you for backing up my point. What have you read from the dev teams that the bugs and delays will not be fixed? Is that what I said or did I say that for it to be done right it won't be done instantly? Business or customers don't just fire people when something doesn't work. When you grow up and get a big boy job you will understand.
  10. If you could demonstrate that is true it would be quite beneficial. I haven't played a Shadow, but could they feel more durable because they take mobs down quicker?
  11. I'm not convinced the game's been out long enough to say we are being pissed on. It's childish and ignorant to say our bugs are being ignored. Children want things done instantly, adults want things done right.
  12. We are the best DPS class with 2 sabers
  13. Agreed. A fun and skilled class to play. Difficult...yeap. UP....nope. One needs to be in the mindset this is not an easy mode class. Definitewly has stuttering issues, but from what I read they are working on it. Possibly a fix in the next patch on the 24th?
  14. I was watchman until last night and specced into combat. My comp is not the best and PvP become difficult for me to keep OS up all the time. Combat seems easier to maintain in PvP. I noticed immediate results. I felt like I was able to monitor my interupts more closely. I didn't do any quests though.
  15. So what crashed the server? An issue of too many people in the same place at the same time?
  16. You started at the beginning of the week and have 40+ hours logged on that character? Did I misunderstand you? If I played 40+ hours by mid week I wouldn't have a wife, job, or friends.
  17. Everyone agrees these are issues and need to be fixed. Sift through the forums and you will see the general attitude is that Sentinel is UP and people are raging over it. Those threads are useless and don't benefit anyone except for the person venting who may feel a little gratification for speaking their mind.
  18. Congratulations! You have started a fine thread with 0 negativity so far. There are obvious faults with this class, but none are "unfixable." There are some monster Sentinels out there producing huge numbers that we should all be watching, learning, and enjoying.
  19. Yes, but that is not the typical attitude when people talk about Sentinel.
  20. Agreed. A lot of MMO players take things too seriously and way out of proportion. Haters will hate, but if Sentinel wasn't fun or attractive they would stop playing. They post their QQ threads to vent their frustration, but in reality it isn't any where near as bad as they make it sound. Thanks for the encouraging post!
  21. I am level 26 and I only use Kira. It seems like her damage output makes the fights much quicker and easier for me. I needed to use T7 once for a boss fight. I feel like I'm flying through mobs and quests right now.
  22. Will it benefit me to buy PvP gear while leveling? I don't plan on doing many flashpoints. Is it better to just save the rewards from PvPing until I'm 50?
  23. You are right. I could go as far as saying we "might" deal damage. There are some basic mechanics that most people don't understand about this class. It is difficult and it takes time to learn these mechanics. My guess is going to be that a Sentinel will be worthless until the basics are understand and executed. An example of a basic mechanic I see a lot is people smash their face against the keyboard and charge (Force Leap) into a group while casters are having the time of their life picking people off. Don't charge into a group of people and complain when you insta die. 1v1 we have to know what's around us and what type of terrain are we in. I remember starting to PvP on my warrior and if I ran into an Ice Mage I would charge and try to snare him and keep him close but I would die every time. When I found my brains I would get out of his LoS. A casting class would be worthless if we could walk up to them and smash their face. These are basic mechanics that take time and experience to learn. When the basics are learned then it starts to be FUN for this type of class! I guarantee there will be some Sentinels and Marauders out there ripping face because they understand the mechanics. I won't throw out the possibility that this class may have some flaws and needs some tuning. I have watched several videos of Sentinel PvP with and without pocket healers tearing it up!
  24. Before I bought the game I was doing my best to think about which class/spec I will roll. I had quite a few toons for WoW and the most fun I had was with my Fury Warrior. I didn't know what to expect but I took it with a grain of salt and knew there would be some difficulties as a Sentinel. I don't think it's ironic that classes I enjoy playing the most are often the most difficult and challenging. These classes tend to be the most rewarding and punishing. That being said why do I read so many posts about people complaining how difficult it is to play a Sentinel? What am I missing? Anyone out there who had Fury Warriors have any valuable input? I remember with my warrior after a few mobs I needed to bandage bandage bandage. If you leave this forum there are other threads whining that marauder/sentinel needs a huge nerf because people are being 3 shotted. Anyone that has played MMOs knows there will always be an "unbalanced" class. When too many people cry about that class it will be nerfed and another class will be unbalanced. To the people upset with this class you need to chill. If the class is legitimately under-powered it will get better. I'm excited to play my Sentinel!
