  1. The number of "phantom QQers" are showing Bioware what the playerbase would like to see much more than your tiny little thread ever could. Too bad Bioware is deaf. And blind. And comatose.
  2. It's also false advertising to those who used their ingame preview function. Which are a lot more of those that bought it based on the Cartel PAck image.
  3. Either that or less real money spent on subs and Cartel coins I suppose.
  4. Nope. I'll cry here, just to annoy you. Besides, what you said can be said for any scam: nobody forced the scammed person at gunpoint to give in to the scam. That would be robbery. But deception and unethical practice are what makes a scam. So yeah, thanks for answering the question for me: scam it is.
  5. The old phantom chestpiece. That's what I liked. The new stupid phantom chestpiece. Stuff like that is what I hate.
  6. Thank you. Now pass this along too: I spent about 90 Euro on Cartel MArket stuff so far, but until we are given the old looks back in some FREE way, I'm not going to spend one more cent. Until you (Bioware) fix this garguantuan mistake, you hvae zero credibility in my eyes, as I'm sure in the eyes of tons more people who don't want to spend money on stuff that might be changed later.
  7. Hmm, nope, I got my Phantom Armor from a Blockade Runner pack, paid with hard-earned cash. Moreover, your statement is invalid even for those who bought it off the GTN with ingame credits: those credits were earned while using a service provided by Bioware, likely paying Bioware for the possibility of having them in the first place, so no, it still counts as something sold by Bioware (obtained through a service I'm paying Bioware for, to be used within said service).
  8. Ok, I'll explain why it's irrelevant. It should be obvious to people with average intellect, but maybe you need some help. A more apt comparison would have been: "Hey, I bought this cellphone from you and now I can't use it anymore! Why?" "Sorry, but did you notice the model you received was different from the one on the box? We'll give you a new one that matches the picture and take away the one you already have." "Eh, no, I like this one better, please, let me keep this one" "Nope, we're not giving you a choice. We'll take it away and give you the correct one, whether you like it or not." "DAFAQ?"
  9. Too bad the comparison you just drawn is totally irrelevant to the actual situation. And too bad Bioware just admitted it was a mistake in another thread. GG to you too.
  10. As I have every right to vote with my wallet and not buy stuff from a company that requires I search through forums and pay attention to every tiny detail in the advertisement pics, in case it is false advertisement and they change it later on that premise. More rights than Bioware, in fact, as in those cases you give the customer a choice for a refund/swap, not take away what he has and give something different regardless of what he wants. GG Bioware.
  11. Oh, so the damn picture had a giant sign saying "THIS IS WHAT THE PHANTOM ROBE SHOULD REALLY LOOK LIKE AND WE'RE GOING TO CHANGE IT?" My bad, my bad.
  12. No I didn't. What if that was another separate set in the pack? It's not like there is a list on the things I might find within, or a big sign upon it saying "THIS IS THE PHANTOM ROBE!" What if I saw the Phantom chest wore by somoene else and decided to buy the pack? What if I bought it based on the preview window on GTN (with credits made by selling other stuff bought with real cash)? And even then, how could I know it was going to be changed? Must I look at the forums every time I buy something to be sure? What about the trailblazer set? How was I supposed to know? Stop defending something that's indefensible.
  13. Thank you Bioware for making me save money! I'm never going to buy anything from the Cartel Market again, they might change it later in a way I don't like.
  14. While making people pay for something and then taking it away is called...what...hmmm... scam? Robbery?
  15. This is ridiculous and you know it. So everytime I buy an item I have to search through all advert pictures and forums to make sure it is as intended and not going to be changed in the future? Do you realize how stupid your statement is?
  16. They failed at even that. I, for sure, will not purchse anything else from the Cartel Market. Because, who knows if they change it later in a way I don't like?
  17. That's kinda my point. It's just one lousy armor, granted, the world is not gonna fall apart because of it, and neither the game But it shows an attitude, a shortsightedness, and, bluntly, an ineptitude that speaks ton of why this game has been handled the way it has, and where it is headed in the future.
  18. While selling something and then taking it away to change it with something different is? Lol. When you fudge like this, you give the customer the choice of a refund, not take away what he already has and give him something else, whether he likes it or not.
  19. Lots more people bought the packs based on how it looked ingame. Like II said, 99% of people didn't notice it was different from the picture in the Cartel Market shop, nor that it would later be changed.
  20. 4) Put an ingame vendor where you can trade your stuff with new stuff with updated look. Kinda like you do when you buy top tier PvP gear.
  21. Give people the possibility to trade in the old items for new one with updated look. Easily done with an in-game vendor, like you do when you buy higher tier PvP stuff. There, fixed.
  22. This. What happened today really proves Bioware hasn't got a clue. They are hopeless. I don't care if the picture in the advertisement showed them different and they said they were gonna change it: 99% of people didn't know. Really Bioware, how does this escape you? How could you even consider this, let alone implement it? Changing gear this way is gonna upset way more people than it makes happy, especially considering that the Phantom, Spymaster and Trailblazer sets where unique and covered a gap in style that no other gear currently in game can. And to add insult to injury, they were cartel market items, meaning many people paid real money for them. And now they are suck with having paid for something they don't like anymore. Seriously Bioware, it's absurd decisions like that that gives us real insight as to where the game is headed to. When you make obviously stupid decisions like this, that how both utter disregard for your paying customers and total lack of basic common sense, it leaves little to no hope for the future of this game. I mean, if they screw up on something so simple and obvious, what's the chance they get the difficult stuff right? As for me, I'm never buying anything from the Cartel MArket again, unless you admit that what happened today was a gross oversight, give people who are affected free gear that looks like the old before changes (while letting us keep the changed look, since there's probably a tiny minority who likes it better now), and promise to never do this again. /endrant.
  23. Yeah, real original thinking here, nobody ever posted a thread with an idea like this.
