  1. It will also create a lot more really REALLY bad tanks and healers. People who did roll their class to damage, but "oh, because of dual specs, I can easily backup healer if I need to". But they aren't into healing, or tanking. They are only doing it because they don't want to wait for a group to form. I made point of DPSers ninja'ing tank gear because, hey "I have a tank spec too and I will tank... Someday... Maybe." Those that eventually get fed up waiting for a dps slot will eventually fall and decide, oh, ok, time to tank. And they will be horrible at it. And then, should the unthinkable happen and they have some small measure of success, that leet DPS item drops. The one the REAL DPS of that instance ran it for. And then there will be loot drama. It's bad.
  2. I am indeed saddened by the news. Dual speccing was lame in WoW too. I did it just to try it out, and I really only wound up switching specs like once or twice in that whole time I was dual specced anyway. Also, it's worse in this game. Due to the companion system, tanks and healers hold their own a lot better and are actually really effective. Have you ever tried playing a warrior in WoW with a priest following you around? Nothing can stop you. Even in the beta, nothing could stop that combo. Now, all sith Juggs, Sorcerers, Assassins, Operatives, Mercs and Powertechs ALL have that combo. Why would you need your DPS tree to farm. To top that off, so far, tanks and healers have more competative DPS than they did in Vanilla WoW (which was the last time dual specs actually were necessary). Even worse, it promotes Ninjas. I'm a true blue tank that may have his DPS spec, but never really switches to it because I think dual speccing is lame. Along comes a flash point, I happen to pick up another of my same advanced class. He's a DPS version of that class, but has a dual spec with a tank, because he's got schizophrenia. The tank piece that I've been waiting to drop, that may even be the sole reason I agreed to this particular instance in the first place drops, and he says, "Well, it's fair game for me to roll Need because I do have a tank spec and I might tank some day. Even though I suck as a tank, so I have to be overgeared to do it, and the only way to get overgeared for content like that is to steal from the hard working real tanks. Thanks for the Drop you've been trying to get all month, I'll put it to good use someday... Maybe"
  3. Well, looking at this quote right here. Truth be told, Han shooting first doesn't make him a cold blooded killer, it makes him a survivalist. Even assuming Han shot first isn't even dark side points in this case. At this point, he thought he was going to be shot by this bounty hunter OR dragged into see Jaba, both of these would have been the death of him.
  4. Not having dual spec is hardly the same as removing mounts. Dual spec is a very munchkin like concept. People want to tank, but they don't really want to tank. They want to heal but they don't really want to heal. Hey, we can go back to the really difficult days of MMOs, where the only healers were all priestly types that only had a stick to hit people over the head with for damage. But no, that really won't do. I am indeed against dual speccing. It was necessary back in the early days of WoW, when tanks and healers really couldn't muster the damage to kill an ant. The healing and Tank specs in this game these days deal more than sufficient damage to make farming not an effort in futility and frustration. Being able to solo with a tank or a DPS companion while heal specced will also have the very happy side effect of creating better healers. That is, if you really do take the role of healer seriously. Same thing with a tank with a DPS or healing companion. No, there is no need to Change specs or even roles, every time you change your current activity.
  5. It is because, if I asked ANYBODY what stat I needed to stack for ANY class, the answer would have been Surge. That right there is a sign that it needed to be nerfed. Duh.
  6. Not including dual spec is not taking away choices, it's making the choices you make more meaningful. I hate it when you give you're character a complete 180 on a whim, because then, it's no longer the same character. Respeccing to try out or to evolve your play style, falls under development and evolving, while changing specs like you would change underwear undermines the spec system and makes the old character not the old character. Also, it's a very munchkin-like think to do. I am all for min maxing, but again, you guys don't want to play specialists or jacks of all trades, Masters of none, you just want to play masters of all trades. Get over yourselves. You are not masters of all trades.
  7. The best part about not believing me is that if my game ran like crap on my computer, I would be just as pissed as the next troll.
  8. Oh, you mean like in EVERY OTHER MMO, Including SWTOR. BTW, my swtor lag? Only slight lag in space station during prime time on my computer that bought out of a bargain bin while CC was going out of business and slapped a mid level video card into. Thank you for playing.
  9. Um, for level recommendations, it's easily soloable at 20. In 15 minutes? No, but you can certainly go stomping through it.
  10. Man, I kept hearing about that delay ability and hearing about and hearing about it and thinking, Man, I'm so glad I haven't experienced that yet. You know, since I haven't experienced any gamebreaking bugs. But now, that I've seen the sample videos, I see, indeed, that I have experienced it. This is it? Really?
  11. The funniest thing about this thread is that the title implies some sort of Martyrdom on the whole good, "no one is talking about the bad parts of this game, so I will", when a solid majority is general grouching when complaining. Truth be told, it's actually a fairly solid title all in all, but not without it's issues, bugs, glitches, got stuck in an area, and some broken invisible walls today, but every minute of frustration and Mundane traveling, I've had hours of enjoyable story and gameplay. Not that I don't want Bioware to fix current issues, but they are really not as annoying and tedious as to make me want to quit.
  12. If they gave better rewards for Open World PvP than they did Arenas, no one would set foot in an arena, except for maybe their one or two games to see what it was all about.
  13. And yet the most notable relationship in the original trilogy was Jedi Father and Jedi Son. And a major victory was due to a father's love for his son.
  14. Because really, yeah, there's a few packed zones in WoW, but for the most part, leveling is a single player game. They even took OUT all of the non instance, party required content, while every planet here has outdoor 4 mans, very similar to an instance but is really more content that does require multiple players. But you're right, this is strictly a single player RPG, no doubt.
  15. Translation: they are right when they hate your game, but they are wrong when they hate my game. Don't look behind the curtain. Stop that.
