  1. I understand most people probably don't even know what I'm talking about, but I know you can feel it. So I made a quick script to instantly move the mouse left and right by 40 pixels and recorded what the game does. The footage below is slowed by 50% so you can more easily see what is going on. The camera slowly interpolates to the new position. With instant mouse movement like this, the camera in 99% of other games will instantly point in the new direction. but SWTOR interpolates towards the new direction, taking several frames to finally arrive. It is jarring. It is sloppy. It is totally 100% unnecessary and adds absolutely nothing to the game. As a side note, you can also see that the camera does not return to the same position it started. Sometimes it moves further left or further right. This is because SWTOR also forces mouse acceleration on. Why? Who knows. There was a sadist working at bioware when developing this game who wanted to make mouse controls as sloppy as possible. However since there is a windows registry fix to force this off, I am focusing solely on the smoothing / damping / interpolation / whatever you want to call it. ---->
  2. It's been 10 years. A simple google search will show 10 years worth of complaints about the camera smoothing. Please. Please let us turn off camera smoothing. Whenever I feel like booting up SWTOR I always stop and think "Is it really worth dealing with the sloppy controls?" Half the time the answer is no. Whenever I stop playing SWTOR and play any other 3d game, its like a breath of fresh air when the camera does not have smoothing. Please. It would take you 10 minutes, and make the game 100x more playable. Please. Keyboard turning should not be preferable to mouse controls. Please.
  3. Got into his first dungeon and POW. standing out in space. Cant leave instance, relogging did nothing. Great job EA. You still cant fix game breaking bugs even in an old *** game like this. Color me disappoint.
  4. Cool, I will stick to my commando then Thanks brother.
  5. Thanks for the replies To clarify, I wasn't looking for a raid to carry me, I am happy to grind flashpoints to get myself raid ready, I should have clarified that. I just wanted to avoid classes that are in high demand but only when in current raid gear. I have a commando at 37 I will probably pick back up. I always enjoyed healing on him anyways. Are they decent healers right now? I have a sorc and a sage floating around as well if those are better. Plus I wouldn't mind making a smuggler / operative if those are the best.
  6. I know the knee jerk response "Play whatever class you want" But hear me out... I will try to keep it short. I am an extremely versatile player. I don't care what class I play. I don't care what faction. I don't care what role. I just want to play something that is in high demand for PvE. Something that will make it easy to find a guild / raid to join in the blues and greens I leveled in. What role I play, or class, or faction doesn't matter to me in the least bit. What do you guys think? What would your raid team love to find, if anything? What is in high demand yet low in supply? Thanks for reading
  7. Anybody else seeing it? The game just launched, myself and most people I know already have 2 geared 50's and we are BORED out of our minds. currently 4:30pm and there is only one other person online in my guild of 60+ level 50's. Looking around the server I see much of the same. everybody is drifting away because swtor endgame simply does not have the 'hook' it needs to keep people intersted. Honestly, BW spent so much time making all that great VO for the questing, and I dont know anyone that actually listened to it. swtor leveling is one of the most boring leveling games I have ever played. every NPC wants to give a speech about whatever retarded problems they have. nobody cares. Thanks to all the wasted effort on that nonsense we have endgame content that is too easy to steamroll. warzones are a grind and PvE is a joke. the hardest part is fighting the bugs and not the bosses themselves. BW all is not lost. most people that are drifting away say the same thing "ill be back in a few months when endgame stops sucking" so please. don't fail in this. give us some endgame worth sticking around for. Thats about it.
