  1. You were always a fan of stylish outfits and i bet that you would like it better if Bioware design department created some armors with more elements of the later Empire era.The dye system was indeed a step forward to this game. A bump from an old friend.
  2. Oh Really Bioware? 1h.05m Queue? It reminds me the opening days of the game when had we those 2000 Queue.Seriously Bioware you need to fix that problem ASAP cz we are not paying for a game we cannot play.
  3. This is not an MMO pvp anymore. It's more like FPS pvp.
  4. Snipers,Sorcs and even Pyro mercenaries are all range DPS meaning that they can Dmg people from 30m away and that is the reason that they lack a bit in close quarters combat. If they left alone they can do enormous amounts of Dmg even your Pyro mercenary. They trick is to learn to postition yourself to the right spot and be mobile all they time. Tactical positioning is your advantage against any other class but don't think that this is something easy to achieve. It reguires experience and lots of WZs.In time your instincts will prevail and they will lead you to the right positions so you can be one of the most dangerous DPS of your team.
  5. I agree that replacing expertise with power and main stat (diference between ~1220 and ~1396 expertise) increases your dmg potencial by my calculations for aprox. 2%-3%.INDEED you can do more dmg against a person who has 1396 if you have power crystals and mods than if you had 1396 expertise. But in pvp you don't only attack meaning that if the person you attack turns against you then you have a disadvantage against him. So the debate about what is the best set up is pointless cz as the test of this post showed the person who has 1396 expertise has the advantage against someone that has 1214 expertise in 1vs1 situations. In other words a group full of 1396 expertise dps will always be in a better position and dmg potential against a group full of 1214 expertise dps with power-main stat mods.
  6. I agree with you on the last part but can you plz point out how and where exactly his experiment is flawed? It's for the common good. All i see here is that he showed the truth and some people who thought otherwise and spent a forture to exchange expertise with power and now feel manipulated try to find excuses and reasons to justify their fail actions.
  7. But my friend this example shows exactly that when he replaced the expertise crystals and mods with power he did less dmg on his target and at the same time his target did more dmg on him because of the fact that he had max expertise. So how come and you still think that power gives more than expertise taking as a fact that as you say you know how expertise works?
  8. You still haven't figured out how expertise works.IF the enemy has 1214 then yes by replacing power with expertise (instead of1296) will give you 2% more dmg but IF the enemy has 1296 expertise and you have 1214 (replacing the gap with power) not only you won't do more dmg but actually you will do less. DON'T only look at your expertise but keep in mind the expertise of the target.
  9. First of all i would like to hand it to Megatfx for his efforts to provide the community with actual numbers about the specific matter. The numbers prove that expertise is more importand than power in pvp cz it's not a static. It is related to the enemy's expertise so the bigger the difference between your own expertise and his the bigger your dmg boost against him and lesser the dmg he does on you.
  10. 1) There are no diminishing returns in Dmg boost for expertise. 2) Expertise isn't a static stat.It is related to your enemies expertise. So the higher your expertise the most you can benefit from your attacks.Dmg is determined by the difference between your expertise and the expertice of the person you attack. Also the dmg you take from your attacker is based on that difference. People consider it as dmg boost only and after a certain amount they change it with power considering that since they have enough dmg reduction they can boost their attacks with power better. I have tested both scenarios and i think that in long term expertise is better than power.
  11. Really? Rage spec didn't have FREE (no action cost) smashes. Also didn't have 15% crit increase for Vicious Throw/Dispatch.Remove these and you will see the true dmg of the spec.
  12. Depending on the Advance Class expertise cap at 1370 or 1390. One of the reasons that when you examine a player you don't see the correct expertise is that the person is wearing Legacy armor pieces and the expertise from the mods doesn't add correctly to the total expertise (i think it's a bug) eventhough they have WH mods. I see people with 1130 expertise but when you examine their gear you will see that they have full WH mods on them. Even when you examine their PVD Damage bonus you will see that is aprox 22.50% which is wrong cause a full WH gear has aprox 24.90%-25.20% Bonus dmg. The question BW has to answer is this: "Is there some kind of bug on the calculator or maybe the WH mods from lagacy gear don't add the expertise? " (which i find hard to believe).
  13. Mercs get only 30% armor penetration to Rail Shot from "Advance targeting" while Powertechs get 60% from "Puncture".In my original post i was suggesting to re-design the specs by moving skills from lower tiers to higher so Pyros can't take advantadge from them and by keeping those other 2 specs unaffected. If you try to tone down those abilities instead of redistribute you will nerf the other 2 specs very much.
  14. The main reason that Powertechs are OP atm is because BW failed to design a balanced spec tree for the whole AC. Basically Pyros which is the spec that has insane dps is NOT because the spec itself is wrong or OP.As proof is the fact that mercenaries that share the same spec (more or less) are fine. The REAL problem is the fact that "Pyros" can take HUGE advantange of the 10 skill points they invest at the tier 1 of the other 2 specs of the AC.With the extra 10 skill points (consindering the fact that they spend 31 on "Pyro") they get incredible boost to Rail Shot (60% armor penetration and 9% dmg) and insane increase to their dots dmg (6% crit chance and 6% dmg).Bottom line is that have dots and burst making them OP. So what the devs should do without affect the "Advance Prototype" and "Shield Tech" is just to switch some the tier 1 skills and move them higher so "Pyros" can't take advantage of ALL of them.
  15. I prefered just to agree with another post because it's not worth the time to comment a post from a person that has descovered how the def stats work 6 months after the game launched.A person who thinks that because he is using tank spec he can wear dps gear and be unbeatable. In case you haven't heard devs admited that the have never tested how OP could become a shadow/assasin tank spec with dps gear. And now that they fixed all of you come to the forum and cry about it. YOU ARE TANKS.Use tank gear and behave as tank in a pvp group.Otherwise it is only natural to die fast. NO MORE EASY COOKIES FOR YOU.
  16. The main reason that people think that the force dmg has been increased is because after 1.2 1)expertise is giving more advantage to dmg and less in dmg reduction. 2)there have been changes to some specs providing to the users more dmg in certain abilities.(marauders now in their rage spec have the same ability as jaggernauts that increases the "smash" dmg by 30%.) So basically some force abilities do more dmg and at the same time your dmg reduction from your expertise has been decreased. The same people wandering about the fact ''DO NOT" state that their own dmg has been increased overal in pvp due to reason no 1.
  17. You have no idea how the things work so please stop posting false information.
  18. If that is the case (guard others) then how come and you will lose against almost any class in 1 vs 1 situations meaning that the ammount of dmg you redirect from allies is smaller than the dmg you would inflict if you were a dps class. Atm there is no balance between the loss of dps and the gain in defence if you choose the Immortal tree (tank) as a Juggernaut.
  19. 1 other problem related to the force choke is that the Ravage ability misfires a lot especially after using force choke. The problem becomes even greater if you using the Immortal tree when the force choke doesn't need to be channeled. The animation starts but you are hitting nothing but air and you can't stop it even if you try to move.So basically you are exposed for 3 secs without being able to do anything to prevent it.Oh btw the false Ravage does not activate the cd.

    Why juggernaut?

If Immortal (tank) Juggernauts are so very good tanks in PVP how come and they lose almost against every class in 1 vs 1 situations? I am guessing that you rely too much to your teammates to keep you alive that you miss to see the whole picture.

    Why juggernaut?

For those of you that think that tank juggernaut is fine i dare you to try to pvp as one and then post It's a fact that juggernauts have many utilities in a pvp group but other than that an Immortal juggernaut is one of the weakests pvp classes in 1 vs 1 fights. They have very low dps and on the other hand their defence rely on "defence rating" witch is broken in pvp since it doesn't protect you from tech and force abilities meaning that 90% of the enemy's attacks will land. It's true that they have a lot of cc (i am talking about the Immortal tree) but even with all those their dps isn't enough to kill an enemy face to face. There is no balance between the loss of dps and the gain in defence. So basically what he can do is wonder around provide "guard" to allies, taunt enemies and try to kill enemies below 50% of their health.Other than that if it happens to be alone for some reason it's the easiest prey. I know that there will be many that would say: "I am master pvp player and i kill all kind of classes with my Immortal Juggernaut on 1 on 1 fights" but i doubt these people have tried to pvp as Immortal Juggernauts
  22. By the number of posts so far we can jump in 2 conclusions: 1)There are so many classes annoyed by the Sorcerers/Sages abilities. 2)There are so many Sorcerers/Sages atm defending their class. Both point to the fact that there is a problem with this class. In my opinion their dps/healing is fine but the REAL problem is the small amount of force they are spending when they are spamming their abilities. Btw i have played and lvl 6 classes so far included 1 Sage and 1 Sorcerer.
  23. Go back in WoW and let us enjoy a Star Wars game.
