  1. When you play this game how you handle some of the Alignment choices? I've played a Sith Warrior that ONLY made Dark Side decisions because he could. I've played a Imperial Agent that was a nice spy and only made Light Side decisions. I'm now playing a Republic Trooper that makes decisions that help the War / Republic, doesn't matter if they're Light or Dark Side Choices. So how do you decide which choice you're going to make?
  2. Sorry about that CrazyMcGee, but Revan needs to be male. Otherwise..... the Shan bloodline wouldn't be here. And well, that's a pretty important bloodline. Just Saying. Also, YOUR Revan was female. There are no things floating around talking about Revan being a female. ALL of the content you will discover about Revan clearly states that he was a male. I know its slightly disappointing...
  3. So... You were right. I hadn't finished Makeb when I posted that. So after receiving an email with your response, I went and flew through it.
  4. Is it funny I had this same exact thought earlier today after doing the FP where you resuce him? haha Now that the Dread War will be ending with 2.4 dropping in October. Bioware should start with its new Operation series surrounding Revan and his descendants (Satele Shan and her son Theron Shan) (Although I'm not sure if Satele is aware of Theron. I know they met once, but he decided not to tell her who he was.) (BUT....Satele is crazy powerful so.... she probably does know...) I would really like a cutscene where the two (Revan and Satele) met up.
  5. Well, me and my buddies started coming up with these after I recieved an email about a reply on the linked post that I first mentioned, and continued long into the night as we got drunk... But the overall plan for our "Stage 3's" were to allow another Tank Role which a current tank could go down, another Damage Role which a current Damage could go down, and a Hybird Role, which both classes could do go. Again. this was all hypothetical and was just some things we thought would be PRETTY COOL to see in-game. About it not being Cannon, well with this era, i feel like there is a lot more room to do things than say, had this been in the Rise of the Empire Era. Also we see PES with the Gungans, so this could be their start. (Again, this is all hypothetical.) But I do understand were you are coming from with the deflect everything with a saber. Makes sense considering how in the movies we see Almost every Jedi and Sith deflect everything shot at them haha. And as I said in my last post. We are currently thinking of Trooper "Stage 3's". And I tossed the idea of a Heavy Armor Trooper using a Blaster pistol as Mainhand and PES as Offhand. Think of a Riot-shield. (Vanguard Tank specs already have a skill "Riot Gas" so...why not? Again, Thank you all for your thoughts and opinions about this subject. I highly doubt Bioware will ever see this and use any of the ideas (but I have been wrong before), but I want to know what everyone else would like to see for advanced classes later in the game.
  6. Umm...Play the SW story and find out the truth.
  7. So I see all your comments and decided to reply: JImvinny: You made the comment that doing this would make the classes unbalanced. And it would IF they only released THIS class. However, if Bioware made Stage 3 Classes for every class and released them at the same time, it wouldn't be so unbalanced. After a couple patches the new classes would work just as well as the current ones. I wish i could just put a picture of how I would like the Stage 3's to work. Because then you would understand the MIddle Class, while there are only 2 "Stage 2's", there would be 3 "Stage 3's". HOWEVER only the MIDDLE class would be availiable to both Juggs and Maras. So a Jugg that wanted to stay tank would stay on the far left, while a Mara could stay to the far right class. I hope that cleares up how I would want it to work. (Also, We're in the process of coming up with Trooper Stage 3's.) Rhalius: I didn't chose a Heavy Armor Stage 3 becuause of the looks. I'm not upset about the way Medium Armor looks. I actually like the way most of the Medium Armor looks. Read the above paragraph where I discribe how I would want the new classes to work and you should understand. XXcaesar & JamieKirby: More content would be awesome, however the voice acting required will be a huge hurdle for the creators. Shouldn't be, because there are TONS of voice actors out there, but whatever. Also it would be best if Bioware introduced the new classes with new content. Thank you all for your opinions and input!
  8. So what started off as a discussion under the "classes" forum about a possible new advanced class for the Trooper (here is the link to see the post: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=681560) got me and some buddies to start thinking about Stage 3 Classes. Since it is more likely for Bioware to create "Advanced" Advanced Classes instead of new classes all together. So heres what we came up with. Also, We only came up with Sith Warrior possiblities since we both played Sith Warriors. Sith Warrior -> Juggernaut - Heavy Armor, Single Saber, Shield or Generator. Sith Warrior -> Marauder - Medium Armor - Dual Wield SIngle Sabers Then allow a Stage 3. Stage 3 would be classes that built upon the existing Advanced Classes. So if you played a Marauder and wanted to use Heavy Armor and Dual Wield, that would be possible. Juggernaut/Marauder -> (Paragon??) - Heavy Armor, Single Saber, Personal Energy Shield. (Tank Role). THis class would use the simple "Sword & Board" Only with a personal energy shield that could be used in various ways by various skills. It should have a higher SC and SA than the normal 20%. I'm thinking somewhere along the lines of 60% Chance and 60% Absorb. This is without gear or points into a class skill tree. Also it should only be out when you saber is activated and should have the same texture as the portable cover that snipers and gunslingers do. If you are unaware of what a PES is the only one ever shown was used in the Battle of Naboo by the Gungans. Juggernaut/Marauder -> (Devastator??) - Heavy Armor, Dual Wield Single Sabers. (DPS Role) This is for players that want to Dual Wield, but would like to wear Heavy Armor. SO pretty much a Marauder with some awesome skills and more DR. Juggernaut/Marauder -> (As for the third Class. we had some trouble creating idea for this class, but we based the idea for it off of the Jedi Temple Guards. If you haven't heard of them or seen the Cartoon Network Clone Wars series, google it.) - Medium Armor, Lightsaber Pike (or Lightsaber Lance) and Shield or Generator. (DPS role). So this is how i would like to see more Advanced Classes come into the came: Stage 1 (1-10) -> Stage 2(10-55) -> Stage 3(55-??) I wrote 55 for the end of Stage 2 because that is the current level cap, and ?? because none of us know what max level will be when they finally shut down this game. If anyone comes up with potential Stage 3's classes for other classes. Please post. I would like to see what others come up with. Feel free to point out any changes you would make to the Sith Warriors. **ALSO: I did copy and paste some of this post from my post on the orginal link to create this forum post.**
  9. I don't think that would work. 1) I wouldn't trust an Agent Tank. 2) A more damaged focused Inquisitor/Consular class? Have you played a DPS spec'd Consular? They are retarded powerful. 3)Knights/Warriors don't need ranged abilites. Force Sream, Push, Charge, and Throw Lightsaber are good enough for any ranged abilies. So after recieving an email with your response over the weekend, me and some buddies who all play this game sat down and thought of the best way that more Advanced Classes would work. I'm only going to write down what we came up with for the Sith Warrior: Sith Warrior -> Juggernaut - Heavy Armor, Single Saber, Shield or Generator. So if you still want advanced classes, use this guild that i've created and create some Stage 3's for the other classes that you would like to see in the future. As I said before, It would be pointless to allow every class to have every role because then you would have Sith Warriors as healers and Agents as Tanks. Those roles don't match those characters at all. Also if you would like to change anything about the Above Stage 3's feel free to say something. Mainly about the names, those were harder to come up with than we thought.
  10. I think I should throw this out there. THIS IS MY OPINION, please do not get mad if you disagree. If you disagree, just state your argument and something to support and move on. (This is for future readers, there are some nasty people on the forums.)
  11. Yes, my main is a 55 Jugg. When i first started playing this game, I was against the idea of a ranged tank, i didn't think they would be worth anything and always thought tank had to be nice and cozy getting destroyed by the bosses. So i made my tank, started playing and enjoyed it. But then I made my Vanguard and i love it soo much more. IMO i think the Vanguard is the better tank because 1) the Ranged allows me to tank without having to be up in his face (unless he's a melee boss) 2) I can be closer to my guarded team member. As it happens in crazy fights sometimes your guarded target can leave the area (I know, there is a like a 50m range, but trust me it happens) so the fact that i'm ranged allows to be closer to my guarded target so they are covered. 3) i can see the fight, i can see when adds are pulled. i can see almost everything (also i always have my game zoomed out as far as possible) So those are a few reasons why I like Vanguard tank more than Juggernaut tank. But sometimes, you just need to force choke someone
  12. So after playing a SIth Warrior Juggernaut and getting him to lvl 55, I had figured out playing the tank role. So, as most people do after maxing a toon, they re-roll and start over. So began my journey with my Vanguard. And I've come to believe the Vanguard is the best tank in the game! (I refuse to play Powertech because I hate that i can only have 1 blaster. Nope, not doing it. Also the bounty hunter gear...not that good looking in my opinion.) I have no problems getting some of our tanking skills later than most thru the skill tree, but here is the one thing I would want to see MOST with an update. The skill Storm wish is able to unlocked via skill tree needs to KNOCKDOWN standard and weak enemies. Keep the immobilizing debuff. Its handy when fighting strong or higher enemies that can be stunned, impaired, etc. I feel like however, that since I am charging someone full speed (in MASSIVE heavy armor) that Standard and weak enemies need to be knocked down, or knocked back (if knockback'd not too much, maybe like 5-ish meters or so) but i feel like it would be awesome to just lay full-speed and lay him out. I'm not asking for much, don't change where it is on the skill tree, don't make its damage higher, don't change anything else with it, just add a knockdown debuff for standard or weak enemies. (Yes, I understand that this would also apply to the Powertech, and i'm okay with that)
  13. We're Tanks man, True, Vanguards do get the tanking skills a little late (such as Storm) but none of the other tank get a CC? So why should we?
  14. I would love that class. Here's the issue however...Troopers can't be the only ones to get a 3rd Advanced Class. Come up with a 3rd Adv Class for everything and maybe Bioware will listen. I think it is FAR more likely for Bioware into bring in new advanced classes with future content than new classes all together, so who nows? maybe somewhere down we'll get this class.
  15. Maybe...Maybe not. Anyways, guess we will never now. Thank you to all who helped in this forum, you've kept me occupied for the last two hours while I'm at work (don't tell my boss XD)
  16. OH MY GOD!!! You fail to see the bigger picture!! Fine a Single Player The Old Republic game. Pretend like it was never an MMO! Just try to think what this game would be like if Bioware HAD intended for this to be Single Player instead of a MMO.
  17. In hindsight, what I should have said is, "this WOULD have been an aweome...." instead. Don't get me wrong, I love that this is an MMO. But the idea of a SIngle Player SWTOR? Come on, you can't deny that it would be freaking awesome!
  18. First off, let me say how refreshing it is to see a mature person, instead of flipping out and dropping to his level you acted your age, not your shoesize. (Disregard this message if you're just a really, really mature 8 year old.) Secondly, I personally feel as if this game would be awesome as an Open-world Single Player RPG. (Like Skyrim.) The story lines for the classes are amazing, (I believe I'm one of the few that enjoys the Trooper storyline). Now as for the multiplayer part, leave the fleet, allow that to be a central "hub" for all players to meet. I believe such a plan would be awesome. Thirdly, I read an article saying that KOTOR 3 (which was planned to end the trilogy) was in development by Obsidian but was never given the go-ahead....so it looks like we're going to have to wait to see if it's ever cleared. http://www.vg247.com/2013/07/31/kotor-3-was-in-pre-production-at-obsidian/ ^ Here's a link to story.
  19. So if anyone has played DDO or LOTRO, you know that those games have a "Guild" system similiar to SWTOR. What those games have that this game doesn't have is a "Guild Area", that feature would be amazing in this game. DDO has Airships, LOTRO had Kin Houses. I would like SWTOR to introduce something along those lines, be it a Guild Space Station, or a Cruiser from your fractions Naval Fleet. But it would be a nice thing to have for guilds, allow it to be a fleet away from the fleet when you don't want to deal with all the idiots spamming General Chat. Yes, it can never replace the fleet, but it could have hangers for ships, Maybe 1 or 2 GTN shops, some crew skill trainers, class trainers, etc, etc, etc. An option for shuttles to take to you to different planets would be nice, instead of having to go back to your ship, onto the bridge, open the galaxy map and pick the planet you would be able to go to the Ship's bridge and have it take you there. Also you can't just give guilds the ship, make them earn it, upgrade it. Purchase vendors using IN GAME CREDITS so everyone in the guild can help w/o having to purchase Cartel Coins (that being said, I'm a sub and always get +600 coins a month, looking out for the little guy here.) Be able to Decorate your ship with things such as a trophy system like LOTRO had where you had a special drop from Bosses that you could take to a special vendor to turn into a statue. Which that statue would then be placable by fellow guild members. Like I said, this would be some new content that would be really cool to see, but I don't need it, and will be fine playing this game if I never get it. Wanted to throw this on the Forums though to see what everyone else thought about said idea, and how they feel about it.
  20. Yeah, that isn't going to happen.... Sorry. What I would like to see however, is that Force-user classes (Jedi / Sith) aren't limited to what type of lightsaber they're able to use, mainly because I would enjoy being my Juggernaut (or Guardian) with a Double-saber or a Shadow (or Assassin) and duel wield single sabers. But, its probably far to late to change that...
  21. Will a PvE geared player be doing more damage? or less damage? I most likely won't end up using the PvP gear for Tanking, just wondering how I would stack up compared to other players. What I'd probably end of doing (B/c I don't just randomly queue for PvP) is switching between PvE and PvP gear sets. That cargo hold is good for somethings haha.
  22. So should i even bother getting/using Classic Comm gear to level to 55 and just use Black Hole gear that will drop from level 50 FP's and HM FP's? Also, how does the Warzone gear do in PvE? Does it hold its own against level 55 Basic and Elite gear? Or should it ONLY be used for PvP?
  23. So I'm finally playing the class I REALLY, REALLY wanted to play and that is the Trooper Vanguard. I'm currently level 26 and was looking at the end-game gear and saw the Dread Guard gear set. I know that in order to get said armor I need to run Hard Mode things, but what i can't figure out is WHAT to run on HM. Also are the pieces to get the armor bound on pickup? Would I be able to use my 55 Sith Warrior Juggernaut to get the pieces, then send via mail to my Vanguard for later use? Just curious. Thanks!!!
