  1. Watch the game, you can work it out close enough. Nice to see something that isn't automating every area where alertness and intelligence are required.
  2. YES Rather than joining with the idiots claiming server queues are just to be accepted or the other side who think they're the end of the world this is a step that would at least stop it getting worse!
  3. y'know...I'm sure you could raise caps and not permit new accounts on that server so you reduce queue time but don't influx new players onto heavy load servers?
  4. Painfully wrong from someone who does work in software industry. There are hardware solutions, technology solutions, and process solutions. Eg. of the latter: They could use the fact of Beta queues and pre-release queues to know server limits and cap # characters per server. Either way...talk to your community BW.
  5. New servers DO NOT FIX THE ISSUE. There are already too many characters rolled on servers that people have put time and effort into and will not scrap and rebuild. Further when you're playing with a group the entire team would have to move. That's a pathetic requirement. Look at the list currently, it'll look the same way it has all day (EST) today. There are servers FULL with queues and others Light/Standard. The server capacities need increasing as a huge priority over adding new servers that can sit with light loads. 1) I don't think it's unreasonable for people to want a comment back from the producing company (not Dev, community facing person), this is launch and they should be more sensitive. Communication and transparency can reduce the frustration and aggravation - knowing what they plan and maybe some timelines. Today of all days they should be sensitive to this and providing updates to their community. 2) This is not an 'launch day' issue as evidenced by servers being full during beta (rarer) and pre-release. BW should be 3) That WoW or whatever your pet MMO had at launch is irrelevant. This is now, not 5/10 years ago and this game has been in development a while. Being 'on par' with previously released games isn't acceptable. LEARN FROM PREVIOUS MISTAKES. All in all it is needless, manageable, and frustrating; the fact of the first two making the third far more irksome.
  6. I know BW has granted a 2 day grace period to allow pre-order customers a chance to receive and enter PRCs without losing game access. I have a character from early access, but may not be able to enter a PRC within the 2 day timeline due to combination of time to receive from the supplier and being out of town with work. What happens to existing characters on accounts that do not have active game access? Does the character continue to exist until the account has a PRC entered+associated? Is there a time limit that you have to have entered the PRC code within or risk the character on the account 'purging'? Much obliged all
  7. Apologies if I'm being terribly dense; but is there a Forum search feature? I was sure I've seen one before but now don't see anything.
  8. Server queues are hugely frustrating. I work 7-5 with commute on each end, cook dinner every evening with my wife, and tend to have odd things round the house that need doing. I can expect about an hour of available gaming time daily, somewhere around 8-10pm EST, assuming I don't have anything else going on (sports, TV, work). I very much enjoy the game when I'm playing; but if I get online to be stuck in server queues I lose my chance to play. I joined up in pre-release as part of a guild (RP-PVE) that has other members expecting to join after release; and we're already on a server that is frequently full. I convinced myself that the content justified paying even though I know I will have far fewer hours in a month where I could play than many other gamers, due to my personal time allocation. Finding that I cannot play in those few hours available in bitterly disappointing. I'm happy to give BW some time through Dec to resolve this but if I cannot reliably get game-time there is no way I'll consider paying for next month's subscription.
  9. Nedrud's post was good. Remember to use Sorc CC...you're a support platform not a pure heal so use the rest of you abilities. If the DPS is getting smacked drop a Whirlwind and let the tank pull aggro back so you're only healing 1 target. Recklessness seems to work on heals too...if you need an extra little boost because you reacted a couple of seconds late you can drop a crit-heal.
