  1. Running Win 7 64 bit and loving SWTOR Unleashed. Exca, I realize you have a lot on your plate with Win 8 and all, but was hoping I could throw a couple ideas your way that I think would greatly improve how we use SWTOR Unleashed. I think the ability to save and load profiles would be a great help for those who don’t have a ton of RAM. Then we could load up the files we need for specific things, like a FP or PVP or a planet that hates FPS over 10. My other idea is, I run Win Resource Monitor on a second display to monitor and take note of which files the game is accessing at any particular point when my FPS drops. I don’t know how easy or difficult this would be, but add to the program a way to log which files cause FPS drops. Like a way to monitor the FPS and maybe the ability to set a threshold of say 20FPS, and any drops under the set threshold would log which files the game was accessing on your HD. It would be especially helpful for those who don’t have the luxury of multiple displays to monitor HD activity. For anyone trying to keep the RAM usage below 8 gigs, I have been running 4 files: Swtormain_art_area_all_item_1 Swtor_bnk_streamed_a_1 Swtor_bnk_streamed_b_1 Swtor_bnk_streamed_c_1 This seems to work well for a generic profile for general questing. Maybe we could start a thread so we can share our different SWTOR Unleashed builds. Hope this helps
  2. YES I would love to see a 64 bit client!!! Along with that, Bioware needs to fix how the client decompresses and reads the art files so FPS does not pause while the client scrambles to render an image. We have 8 art dynamic files that must be decompressed and read from the HD for each person on your screen. With every visual option and new piece of armor, the files get larger and accessing them to render an image takes longer. No matter what level of detail your graphics are set for, the same files must be accessed and read. I understand that this is what makes the client playable on older 32 bit systems, which was understandable years ago, but the number of people with 64 bit systems now far outnumbers 32 bit users. I, for one, built a high end, not top of the line but very good, gaming system to play this game, and seeing single digit FPS on a regular basis now, it is not only un enjoyable, but almost unplayable. SOLVING THIS NEEDS TO BE A PRIORITY!!! BIOWARE needs to fix this, or start losing players! My opinion is: Make the current 32 bit client not only usable for 32 bit users, but optimized for 32 bit users, and not try to give 32 bit users the same graphic detail as 62, so you can make the art files smaller and faster to read so 32 bit users do not suffer low performance. Create a 64 bit client, with more detailed visuals than the 32 bit system and capable of using 64 bit hardware to improve performance. I know this means work for the development team, but if you want people to play the game, then you need to make it playable!
  3. I SUPPORT THIS! I had our guild name registered as soon as it was available on the site. I pre ordered the Collectors Edition. I was up at 3:00 am when the server went live for early play, to start characters, so I could have my names. NOW... I am "FORCED" onto a different server where someone already has our guild name, and all but 1 of my original character names, without even as much as a "sorry" from Bioware. There are 2 names that I have always used on my characters in all games I play, I have added them as friends to check them out and both are below level 10 and seem inactive. I would even pay Cartel Coins if it meant I could get my names back. The way we were treated during the server merger, I feel that Bioware in no way appreciates our dedication and loyalty, and feel mistreated for someone who has had a paid subscription and been active since I started beta testing almost a year before the game launched. So… YES! PLEASE!!! Let us reclaim our names if they are being used by inactive characters!
  4. Yeah I haven't been able to stay connected for more than 5 minutes or so. Ran an extended ping with swtor.com and it comes back as timed out.
  5. WOW! I think you just hit it on the head there! If stats are removed from color crystals, then having a pre order color crystal with +4 endurance bonus would actually be helpful.
  6. Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks! You guys are awesome!
  7. That's exactly the kind of information I've been trying to find. I have noticed the elegant style top has a different name and different colors, but have been looking for what weapons and armor sets come with which cartel packs. I am the type of person who gets suckered into spending more money than I should to get cool looking in game stuff. I'm not crazy about some of the new armor but loving the look of the new weapons, but paid no attention to what I got with what pack and now with 3 different packs and no reference on the different items, I'm just confused. I just don't want to be spending money for the Skip Tracer's pack when the Blockade Runner's has something I want. I've seen screen shots of stuff but not much info on what armor came with which pack. I'm hoping someone has a link to what I'm looking for.
  8. I can't disagree with that. Like I said I do like to show it off, but why should I have to have a disadvantage to use an item that they gave us to advertise our loyalty to the game. If I recall, in the KotOR series, the color crystal was just that, color. Your bonus and stats came from your power crystals, and had a more complex weapon modification system. Which I did enjoy.
  9. I have been trying to figure out what the differences are between the Skip Tracer’s Cartel Pack, the Blockade Runner’s Cartel Pack, and the Crime Lord’s Cartel Pack. If someone has a link for the item differences or can explain it that would be awesome.
  10. What would make me extremely happy is, a pre order Advanced Black-Yellow Fortitude Crystal that scales with your level, and has stats that give you some sort of advantage for your level, comparable or slightly better than a Legendary item for your level, but not so much of an advantage at level 50.
  11. I have been unhappy about this since beta and finally feel like speaking up. I would like to voice my dissatisfaction with the Advanced Black-Yellow Fortitude Crystal, or “pre order crystal” because of it’s total lack of usefulness. I am proud of my pre order, and like to show it off by equipping my crystal, but it is useless after level 10. Even the lv 50 Advanced Black-Yellow Crystals with a +31 stat bonus is sub par. It would make my game much more enjoyable, and make much more sense to me, to see the pre order Advanced Black-Yellow Fortitude Crystal, scale with my character’s level, and have an appropriate bonus for that level. I’m not saying to make it the best color crystal in the game, just make it usefull. Lastly, I am not happy with paying 100k credits for the level 50 version. Our pre order "gift" should not cost in game!
  12. I agree %100. I for one am proud of my pre order, and do like to show off my crystal from time to time, especially on a new character, but it is totally useless while leveling. I think making it scale would be a perfect solution. Also, I don't agree with having to pay 100k credits for a lv50 pre order crystal. Isn't the whole point to reward the people who pre ordered? Not to charge us more for the gift we earned? SO HEY DEVS OR SOMEBODY!!! PLEASE change the pre order crystal so it's still usefull after you gain a few levels!!! And maybe not keep charging us for our "gift" if we need another, or need to obtain a higher level one.
  13. The jumping in this game is broken plain and simple! I had no issue during beta, but after the game launch the jumps that were easy before I cannot make now. Something was changed and it's not working.
  14. Hurray for G510!!! Makes our lives so much easier! Searching for something for SWTOR for my G510 lead me here so hoping someone can make something soon since I ain't gots them smarts and learnins to do it.
