Took a break came back multiple times. Still an issue. On my sorc I get the GCD quite frequently for using my overload and it gets the cooldown but no animation fires and no one is knocked back. Extremely frustrating in PvP when you are trying to knock a group of people off a node. (Before its said, no they dont have full resolve. ;) )

This needs a fix and at the very least some dev communication on. You guys have known about these issues since launch. It has been documented in multiple threads. With the cash shop in game supplementing your bottom dollar I can think of no reason why staff cannot be allocated to the task of fixing this issue.

  2. "Thread: The Female Gamer - Are you guys not over this yet?"

My first though when I saw this thread was, "Ugh attention seeking girl."

Honestly, my own female perspective on this is men hit on women in real life, men hit on women in games. Even BIGGER news flash, female gamers have been known to hit on male gamers but you dont see guys posting *********** stupid threads about it. Food for thought.

  3. So apparently while I was running around the mountains on Ord Mantell I got stuck between several boulders. My character keeps glitching out and wildly jerking around. I try to use quicktravel or fleetpass to get out but it says I can't use those while moving. Has this ever happened to anyone else? If so, is there a way out of it rather than just creating a new character from scratch?

  4. When I reinstalled and came back it was nice to see 250+ in fleet and even getting put into a second instance of Fleet. PvP queues are fast even if mostly same side battles. FP queues are also fast for all levels, not just at 50 but thats even faster. Even in the starting planets Im seeing 100+ players which means people are coming back or at least making alts. Then I log over to GW2. I see no one in any of the towns. World vs World PvP queues used to take hours to pop and are now instant. I am lucky if I see maybe 7-8 other players a day while questing. I thought Bioware did a poor job with this game at launch but it seems Arena Net got them off the hook by making GW2 even worse.

So... Because you didnt like GW2 its a bad game.... Ok I see your logic. For that matter your probably on a low pop server since at the moment there is so much server hoping going on.

Imo GW2 is a great game, especially for people who love PvP. This game is great for people who love story. I happen to play both and from my xp I feel GW2 is more populated than this game. But again, thats just my xp. I have no solid figures to back that claim, but from all the absurd claims I see on this thread about how GW2 is failing I guess we can just say stuff and its true.

Maybe people can just enjoy a game for what it is instead of being a blind loyal fanboi to one game and completly destroy any other competition it may have.

As for everyone in this thread saying GW2 is bleeding subs... Source?

  5. I wish they had the join dates still listed. I came over as soon as SWG rolled out the NGE and Bioware started hinting at this project. I don't remember the timeline of when they launched this forum, but I have been floating around for years.

Yep, I remember sitting in Reustuss one fatefull night in ventrillo shooting the **** when I was told this game was announced. Couldn't wait. Waited forever, followed all the forums, saw the interviews, lived and died for the game trailer updates the whole nine. Its hard to let her go, but she isnt so bad if you think of her as a casual partner. She can fulfill the physical need but your gonna have to get the emotional fix from a more stable mate if ya get my drift. ;)

  6. Keep in mind some people followed this game for six years.

Been around since '08, like I said I feel his pain yet it still reads like a break up letter.

At this point, I'm just kind of doing some of her not-as-pretty sisters on the side because they give me what I want.

I like this game much more since the launch of GW2. I get my PvP fix there and come here for casual leveling, story and pve.

  7. Good post. About sums up how I feel as well. Problem is that EAware are not going to 180 away from this no matter how much we protest. I also have little hope that any of the money they earn off the cartel market will actually be reinvested in genuine new content. So far they are only releasing things that were completed a long while back with no news of anything genuinely new. My guess is when players get done dumping loads of cash in the cartel market and the profit dries up as people come to their senses then you will see the development really stall. The outlook, though I hate to say it, is grim.
  8. Spent all mine initially on packs to test my luck since I thought the armor wasn't that great. I will not spend another penny on cartel coins. I think every item on the market is extremely overpriced and the fact that the new armor cost more than the old armor just shows the direction they are trending. So, now I wont spend my cartel coins on anything until the prices become reasonable.
  9. I used to hate Huttball as badly as the OP but that was because the learning curve was so steep for players. Half the time only about three people understood what to do and the rest just ran around team death matching which ruined any chance of winning.

As of late I have noticed that Huttball matches go fairly well, everyone gets the point and I see more wins than losses. HOWEVER the new warzone is now 'the old huttball' as again players learning curve is quite drawn out in this game. Perhaps something to do with the sheer amount of casuals in the game? I dont know. I blame it on backpeddling and keyboard turning when the erage really sets in. ;)

Regardless, I disagree that you should be able to queue for matches. If that were the case I think the only wzs you would see pop are Civil Bore and Derpstar (stolen names from an old PvP mate of mine!) as they are the easiest for people to understand. At the end of the day sometimes you just don't always get what you want. Frankly, I think people have it pretty easy now. I remember when the ONLY warzone that ever popped was Huttball because you couldnt battle anyone but the opposite faction in other warzones, thus most players (especially imperials) would see 8-10 Huttballs in a row. NOW thats a reason to unsub, not just randomly getting a Huttball once in a while IMO.

  10. Im at the end on Narshadaa I have to defeat a Imp who owns a factory because he thinks alliens are not pure something like that. he is lvl 22 Im lvl 23 . I trie to defeat him with the robot as my pet N41 - X or something but that guy nail us down like we are lvl 10. so I tried a lvl 22 find the cloaked ship off tavus did all that then the end boss is lvl 24 while the map says the lvl is 22 ....

Help me to understand this ??

To start, if you are a DPS (damage specced) let me suggest you use a healing companion. If you are a healer, I would suggest using a tank companion. If you are a Tank use a heal companion also as you seem to be having trouble.

Next, make sure you are watching the cast bar of the NPC attacking you. If he is using channeled attacks you should try interrupting them with any interrupt spell. (Which you should have by now.) Or if you do not have an interrupt off cool down I would suggest using LoS. (Line of Sight) I am going to assume you dont know what this is (even if you do) so Line of Sight is simply running behind a large object to stop the channeled attack and not take damage.

Thirdly, I would suggest that you make sure your gear and the companion you use most frequently have gear appropriate for your level. If you look at your gear (oranges hopefully) you will see Armor/Mod/Enhancement with a number next to them. Be sure that those mods are within a couple levels of your level. (Be aware your companion can also wear orange modifiable gear to help him/her be more effective.) If its not close to your level, take the comms you have earned (which you will find in the last tab of your inventory) to a vendor on Fleet or the Promenade called Nar Shaddaa Equipment/Modifications Vendor and purchase yourself some upgrades.

Lastly, I would suggest that you use a med pack if your starting to take some damage and also before you start the fight use a enhancement like an aim, endurance, cunning, strength, or willpower stim to help give you an advantage. If you still have a problem, you can send me a PM on the forums and I will try and help you the best I can.

  11. Maybe the devs didn't notice when making this great MMO, but there is a flaw in the system.

When the map says you battle against ( exsample ) lvl 20 the devs made the boss an lvl 21 or 22.

Or the boss is 22 and not even defeatable at lvl 24 or 26 you have to be lvl 28 to defeat a lvl 22 boss.

I noticed this a few times and then its end off story because you can't upgrade this fast in the game.

So I recomend to check tose bosses if you please so far I met a few and its a bit anoying if you can't defeat a lvl boss at your own lvl.

    Greets Chris

I have never had this problem. Are you using your companions? Are you using all your skills available, interrupts, cool downs etc? These zone bosses shouldnt be hard to defeat in fact most of the time I feel they are too easy. Perphaps you can give more info on exactly what fight your having a problem with so we can better help you along with your class info ect.
