  1. I like your idea, but I think that the mods to armor should remain in the cybertech branch. What I would like to see is synergy between cybertech and armortech. That being, allow us to make armor that can be modified. Wouldn't that add an interesting dynamic to have a suit of armor for sale and the ability to get with a cybertech buddy to make it even better. The market value of a fully modified armor set would be greater than the individual parts.
  2. Overall I like the progression of Armortech. The resources, chances to learn newer schematics through RE, and comparative stats are pretty solid. However there are a couple of improvements I would like to suggest. Non game changing: Art: Helmets in Armortech are abysmal when it comes to the artwork. More specifically, the first set of head gear you can make is really bad. It takes a good bit of work to level up to the ability to craft a helmet of sorts (This is from the BH perspective, unsure if it is different on the republic side) and you get a faceplate that in no exaggeration makes you look like Michael Bay's version of the Transformer Frenzy with a black eye. There is no symmetry, no style, it looks downright awful. IMO, player crafted items should at the very least look "cool" to give incentive for people to buy them. Sets: There should be easily identifiable sets that you can craft at each level. I can understand the Redoubt, critical, etc tags, but I would like to be able to craft a full suit of something and put the entire set for sale. This does not have to come with perks, however in the next section I will comment on that. Game altering aspects: RE: We should be able to RE armor that we get as loot. Even if the return is way less than what we get from our own creations. There should also be schematics that you can learn from random drops to add to the list of possibilities. Sets with benefits: One thing that would make armortech profitable and enjoyable would be to make suits of armor where if you buy the entire set, you get a bonus. WoW did an excellent job with implementing a system like this. I hate to throw that out as a comparison, but right now there just doesn't seem to be anything /special/ about what we make. Its hard to sell armor pieces even if you make a purple and its exceptional allowing for augments. Armor pieces which can be modified: We should be able to create armor that is better than what is found anywhere else sans the most difficult heroics. In that vein, why not allow us to modify our armor to gain more usability. For example, why would I bother buying a chestplate that someone makes with decent stats, when I can get a set of armor that I can modify and it can remain relevant for more levels? Ability to craft Light or Dark side sets: I think it would be a neat twist if the more you drift toward one alignment, differing options are available for schematics. IE you can craft the standard fair, but if you are lightside to a certain degree, you unlock x,y,z sets of armor. Likewise, if you are more darkside, you unlock a different set of extra schematics. If you are true neutral, perhaps even that would help unlock another line of schematics. Bottum line...armortech is about aesthetics, power, and survivability. The pieces should look awesome, much more so than random drops. They should also be able to survive for longer than a couple levels through mods, or set combinations, or whathaveyou. Overall, I really enjoy crafting so far...but I think these are things that can be done better to make this a more worthwhile gaming experience.
