  1. +1 Couldn't have said it better.
  2. Dude, do yourself a favor... get TFO of my thread please. This is all you do? hijack and troll on peoples thread? Don't you have anything better to do? I don't know maybe rolling and alt and go on your bussiness or do you troll people in-game too? is trolling your hobby? is your middle name troll? I don't know maybe YOU should point out the limitations of the game and how it could improve, or is it too mucho work for you cuz maybe your too busy trolling? do you speak trollish? is your mother a troll?
  3. So you're whining about whining? Right... so moving on. And I never said lack of ship customization is going to make the game fail, I'm just pointing our how limiting the game is and how its structured. There is no denying that the game feels limiting, and with the biggest budget in gaming history ($300 mil - 10k more than avatar production cost) it clearly shows that most of their effort went into voice acting, something that is not new nor innovative in the mmo industry. With that budget they could have done much, much more. And to be frank, 1.2 doesn't look all that promising. We'll have to wait till its announced. Yup, and I stand by that.
  4. I guess people don't bother reading at all, they just read the title and thats it. There are other issues I point out as well. My main point is that the game is just too limiting, and yes I do whine because I want the game succeed, unlike conformists that take anything even if its broken or lacks features and are pefectly happy with it. These kind of people actually hurt the industry making game companies less and less competitive.
  5. I've been playing this game since release And yes, I'm aware of the many other issues.
  6. Anyone else feeling severly dissapointed at this? I mean... starwars is more than just aliens, lightsabers, and force wielders. What about the OTHER part of the starwars universe? Space ship battles (not just some generic railshooter with no multiplayer elements) land vehicles and whatnot. So what's the point of having a space ship other than it is tied to your storyline? SWTOR is not a bad game, but is just so damned limiting. EVERYTHING is limiting. Questing areas are boxed with a player cap (never seen more than sixty players per zone) heck the Implerial Fleet is player capped making it difficult/limiting to find people to run FP's or OP's, there is little to no areas to explore, areas feel bland and dead with no organic life (just some random mobs here and there)... frankly, I'm worried where this game might be headed. I really want it to succeed, but I just don't see it. As it is now I feel like I'm playing an enhanced version of Clone Wars Adventures or a STARWARS version of MASS EFFECT (at least in ME you could explore planets). ... and that is not very reassuring. BW needs to make SWTOR stand out from other generic themepark mmos by adding unique features, because a good story is not enough. There will be a lot of competition this year, and if BW wishes to stay afloat in the mmo market (not just to appleal a specific demographic) better do something to make this gamer better.
  7. I have a AMD Phenom II x4 955 3.2GHz, ATI HD XFX 5770 XXX Edition OC'ed, 6Gig DDR2, and the game runs good @ 1080p all settings high with shadows enabled, but I do get massive fps drops in certain areas, specially indoors. I have a geforce gtx 460 1g laying around that I will try and see if it makes a difference in fps. Thare ARE issues in the game. No doubt about it. I've been monitoring the horrid fps thread and most (not all) post are pretty valid, somethings wrong when a pc x2 better than mine have fps issues equal or worst than mine.
  8. I've looked for solutions, in fact I spend more time on the internet tyring to find ways to tweak swtor and improve my fps in swtor than playing the game. There are simply no work arounds, and its not my system. I have been dealing with computers for more than 15 years, I know what I'm doing. Probably more than your average bustbuy dude.
  9. Said who? You? I have a mid-high (tweaker by nature - to squeeze every bit of performance I can) setup and very paranoid when it comes to security and I'm having FPS issues, as welll as many other users (just take a look at the CS forums) Granted I get 60fps outside, but at a certain zones it drops to 30 even with shadows and bloom off. And the game feel choppy.
  10. Guys post on this thread as well http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=62986
