  1. The SoK page is actually just a redirect to the main SonsOfNumenor.com page. During the last refit of our site a few weeks back I took the redirects out while the new landing pages are built, etc. My apologizes for the confusion there. We are also looking to consolidate our branding so you may be in SoK, but we keep things tight and singular out of game. Works better then all playing the game know everybody else. You'll often find some of us in TeamSpeak (which isn't required) jumping back and forth as needed between factions. When in doubt, post on our website, or even drop into Teamspeak if you would like to join. So long as you have registered and sent the "Join Us" form in (the electronic form, fill-in the blanks) we can get you setup ASAP. All the best, Benjimir (Republic) Rimijneb (Imperial)
  2. We have folks playing now in numbers during the prime-time EST hours. (typicall 9-12 pm/am) We've two people now scheduling informal and planned activities during the month. All are welcome to do the same as well, but we are playing to our strengths and numbers at this point. Most of those can be found through our websites membership groups and forums. Being inside the guild does help too since some folks gather on their own off-schedule. LIkewise, our PvP fans have been surging in their hours on both the imperial (Scions of Korriban) and Republic guilds. The approach I'm guiding as we build numbers again, is to keep things casual and fluid. The rebound in active players has been notable, and folks starting to join us is too. But this remains a building project. The good news in that is our guild is large and strong, and it is actively lead by myself and others. There are lights on and people at the wheel.
  3. I have no idea what the in-game commendations and such are or do. I play the game to escape and have fun. The current space system doesn't do it for me. Just me, not saying it isn't fun in the same way a pin-ball machine is fun. But they could have done better. I doubt they ever will now.
  4. Space is a waste in this game generally. Just another grind. They need a real JTL expansion to provide any lasting gameplay value.
  5. Try our new simplied app! Sons of Numenor: We're making it dumber, for you!
  6. If there were a JTL addition to this game, even at an added cost, I would buy it in a heartbeat, and it would utterly change any lingering negative feelings towards the game. If all space amounts too in SWTOR is the sum of the space-on-rails, I likely still play, but never more than with LOTRO. Heck, World of Warplanes will take more of my game time than this.
  7. You take MMOdata as gospel. Fine. So be it, I'll take that at face value. But I can't rate their stats, or the hard and fast conclusions coming out of it, as more than speculation. Although yours and a few others at least makes an honest effort of it. There are no airtight figures out there. Likely we never will have any.
  8. I very seriously doubt Lucas ever let anybody have anything without keeping ultimate control. That was the case with SWG, I don't see any reason it would be here. You don't let a company go out and run your major IP up the flagpole without the means of recalling your control if they do something unlikely but horribly damaging to it. EA isn't borrowing a license, LucasArts owned the rights, those belong to them. Remember EA is paying to develop and run this game. the risk was their own in developing it, and there is a bill or share of everything they make due to Lucasarts/Lucasfilm. No, I think that Disney can have as much or little say. Not because they can send people to Austin to make changes, but because approval for changes, as we see with other Star Wars properties, needs to be run through Lucasfilm/Lucasarts. And in the end, EA amounts to a contractor, not an owner.
  9. The answer is actually very obvious. They were talking SWTOR toys, action figures, and more. They were talking a few months ago about SWTOR merchandise. Didn't happen. What is more, obvious SWTOR original characters and ships are being generically dumped into the Star Wars bucket without any attempt to bother mention of ToR. It means, clearly, no cross-marketing, isolation of the leaper game. No sign of anything for the Holiday season. Nobody is buying into this game's hoped for appeal. Plans that were, are being pulled back. I think the story, characters, and the rest are just going to be sucked into the EU and Disney moves on.
  10. EA would screw it up. But no, come what may, Disney will own the keys to the realm. The game might muddle along, however in the end, if Disney decides it shouldn't, it won't. This is a Star Wars game, they own that now, across the board.
  11. I agree. But it might muddle through. What seems clear is that there is zero intent to spend on the game. EA seems to have had enough of it, this is just another cog in their wheels. If you want to lobby somebody, start hammer Disney, this is their toy, and EA is just a contractor now. The good part of that is that Disney is a mammoth company, one of the few mega mega media corporations that can buy and sell an EA, to say nothing of dictate terms. Really it is a matter of how hardcore do people want to get about saving this game. Push hard enough, and enough stink can be raised. Enough to make a point at least.
  12. Saw a toy commercial today. Legos. The Fury and Striker class ships. No mention of "the Old Republic." Just Star Wars. Sign of things to come. I would say we need to see Disney take the game away, shut it down, restart in a year or two. Bioware was not up to the task as a brand name/studio, EA is company of idiots that don't know how to do what they are in the industry to do. At least Disney could just take the game and invest in unscrewing it up.
  13. Trust me when I say: No. This is white noise, one of a dozen topics like Space Combat, paid server transfers, etc, which do not get answered.
