  1. I don't give a ****, it's Star Wars. Rage at me, *****es.
  2. Thisn isn't a single-player RPG, either. MMOs need to be open. It makes things much more interesting, and provides for more hours of gameplay and less repititiveness and boredom.
  3. You really are not listening to me, aren't you?
  4. One zone is not enough. And again, zones being connected is what make an MMO feel big.
  5. Like I said, it would interfere with quests. Maybe they could just rework the zones later on, making them feel larger? Eh.
  6. Hey, I don't have a clear solution. I admit that. But a whole team of developers should be able to come up with one. Just voicing my complaints, that's what the forums are for, eh?
  7. I don't want another SWG. Although I didn't know what an MMO was back when SWG was big, I do know I don't want TOR to be a sandbox. And it isn't What I do want TOR to be more like is WoW (just the environments!!!). Not a complete sandbox, but not a boring linear grind, either. At least in WoW you could do some exploring. And yes, WoW was a grind, but at least it wasn't an on-rails grind.
  8. That's not what I'm getting at. Yes, maybe Tatooine is big, but it's about the size of a large zone in WoW. WoW, and other MMOs, feel expansive because their zones are connected. You can gallop on your horse through each zone, enjoying the beauty of the environments. It's rather boring to just "fly" (or select a destination) with your ship from planet-to-planet (or from zone to zone).
  9. TOR's environments are too linear. Even in areas such as Tatooine, it feels as if I'm boxed in. I think this is because instead of using the common zone-next-to-zone formula, they opted for traveling to different planets instead. I wouldn't have a problem with this, except for the fact that each planet is the same size as your average zone in WoW. If the planets were bigger, and had multiple zones, this problem would vanish. Although it would be difficult to do this, as planets in Star Wars usually only have one "setting" [e.g., Hoth (all snow), Mustafar (all lava)]. I'm not looking for another sandbox game, but I'd appreciate it if they made the planets in the next expansion much more expansive. WoW's continents made it feel as if I was part of something bigger, and although you're traveling through space to get from zone to zone, TOR seems much more compact. I would suggest they add zones to the current planets instead of making new planets, but that would be much more of a hassle because they would have to rework the questing system. I know WoW did something similar to this with Cataclysm, but Cata mostly just reshaped the environments and switched around the zone's factions. Agree with me or not, I'm still convinced a more open feel to the game would make for more of an immersible experience.
