  1. Lets see... AO, EQ2, LOTRO, EVE, WoW, AoC, WAR to mention some...so no Which is exactly why i'm slightly annoyed by this current state of affairs. Do game-companies never learn ? And again, i dont personally mind some server queues, but when you're talking 2+ hours, then it's crossed the line of what I think is acceptable, or good business practise.
  2. Guild was assigned this server by Bioware. So has nothing to do with the server name. Infact, they could change it to "Noob Server" for all i care
  3. That simply doesnt apply to a digital computer game :-) The more players the better, aslong as everyone actually got to play. Your statement makes no sense :-)
  4. If you're going to quote me, atleast quote what i actually wrote, and not some gibberish you interpreted it as being :-)
  5. But new servers doesnt really solve the problem on the old servers, unless you expect everyone to reroll on a new server. If they had a way to move characters/guilds from 1 server to another however, this would ofcourse solve the problem.
  6. That is the crucial question here. If they are, they need to do something. If they are not, things will probably be fine in a couple of weeks, but they need to let us know if this is the case.
  7. Same server as us. Had 4 friends of mine who never managed to actually get online on this server. Waiting in line a couple of hours, then disconnecting, and ending up at the back of the queue again. So i can certainly understand their frustration about it. Myself i spent 1h 35 minutes in queue, from joining around 17:30, at place 674 in queue, until i got in. Managed to eat dinner, watch 1 episode of tv-series, and browsing some webpages before i finally got in ;-)
  8. It was more all i could be bothered with, since it would drown on these forums damned quickly anyways :-)
  9. Point 1 i can somewhat agree on. Point 2: errr, what ?! EU servers are full, and got insane queues, thats not a positive thing. Believe me, i'm on one of them, and had to wait 1h 35 minutes to get in. 3 of my guildies that came home later, never actually made it into the game yesterday due to the queues.
  10. Yes agree completely. It's stupid that if you have x of item Y in your bank, and then rightclick a stack of Y in your inventory, it's not added to the stack already in your bank, but as a separate stack. Annoying, or atleast make and option/button somewhere that says "Autostack" On/Off
  11. As i think everybody knows by now, there are server queues. Fine, that's expected, but 2+ hours of queueing is not acceptable, so they need to change their current server-rollout strategy to help solve this issue. Reason why we're having huge queues: Day 1: Lets say you have 5000 people who is about to select their server to live on. Now, since most servers are full, those 5000 people will be spread out on the 1-2 servers that were recently rolled out, and therefore are only "standard" load or similiar. Now, add 5000 players to those 1-2 servers, and suddenly you have 1-2 servers with the load Heavy, Very Heavy or Full. Now, everybody wants to play with their friends, afterall thats why we love MMO's. Now, lets assume each of those 5000 people have 5 unique friends each that they want to play with. Day 2: 5000 of those friends are now ready to play, and where do you think they will create their character ?` Correct, ofcourse they will create it where the friends they want to play with has already created their character. So now you have 10000 people spread on those 1-2 servers. Result, full servers and queue's. And you still have 20000 friends who will also want to join those same servers, cause thats where their friends are. Now, consider this same example, but with those original 5000 people spread out on 10 servers. What whould happen ?, you would now have 30000 people (5000 + 5 friends each) spread out over 10 servers, and not 1-2 servers, making it possible to avoid much of the queueing. So conclusion: Do not add servers 1 by 1. Add servers in bulks of 5-10 each time, to even out the load more.
  12. Yes, this server seems like it might end up having issues. 1+ hour queue's already on 2'nd day of early access. To many people migrating to the server outside of those who were originally placed there i guess. I guess i hope Bioware eventually implements a "Guild-migrate" feature if it gets any worse, which i assume it will closer to launch.

    Which server

Tomb of Freedon Nadd (PVP EU) also has some scandinavians. A few guilds that are primarily scandinavian are on it. On the bad side, we already had 1h+ server queue's last night, which is kinda annoying for the ones whos guild was placed there, and now find the server overloaded by other people migrating to the server.
