  1. Next question, since you all clearly know me very well. According to me (and probably only me), who is the best character in SWTOR?

In honor of this character's amazingness, first 7 to answer correctly get codes. Also, I will code spam for the copy/paste race in my next post. BE READY.

    Darth Malgus

  2. Hope that's wrong, for real...

Somewhere along the road, I hope they realize this is an MMO and single player content can only be played through once. :(

Musco, any update on this better than cross-server thing, please?

They forgot that a long time ago.

  3. Just when you thought the bottom couldn't drop any lower, bioware goes and promises a month of events yet fails to ensure they will run successfully. They ought to air their live streams on Comedy Central, because they are an utter joke. They've made clear their vacation time is more important than ensuring the quality of their product. This is truly pathetic. I guess as long as they make money off the cartel market they'll keep their charade of interest in the game alive; what a terrible business model. Were I bioware, I'd be embarrassed at the product I'm putting out.
  4. They are MASTERS in selling Bull****, which was "developed" with no effort in 5 minutes by a former unemployed and drunken IT trainee lol.

They make a big announcement and everybody is like: "OMG finally cross server + return of 8vs8 ranked etc" and then comes Musco and talks about a new companion. A real Bioware classic haha. Have to love that company :)

Really though, people have nobody to blame but themselves for being constantly disappointed by Bioware. Anyone who still has any form of hope that cross server or 8v8 ranked is coming back is fooling themselves. SWTOR is a flawed game; if you enjoy it, then you can have some fun playing it. However, at this point, no one should expect much from Bioware aside from story content and fluff.

  5. We were told today we would receive an announcement that "the world is not ready for."

We weren't ready for HK-55 (again)?

Sure, it's a cool idea playing as HK for a chapter... but what about once those new subs beat it? They are gone again. You have traded $15 now, for $15 less later from the long-time sub who quit. You're openly choosing new, short term, customers over existing long term subscribers - and giving them virtually nothing of substance once we beat those "Chapters."

BTW, Chapter 9 was literally just a cantina party. That's every 5 year old's RP.

    *SLOW CLAP*

Really a big letdown. I don't expect PVP content anymore, but they could have hinted at an upcoming operation or something. Seriously, how many HK droids do we need?

  6. Try it with a guard.

Then come back and tell us how tank-guarded healers feels about 'just right'!

You can't break it. I've supported this game since day 1, but this is the last straw. I'm done with pvp until healing is fixed. There are plenty of other games I can enjoy.

I was afraid this was how the update was going to turn out after I tried it on the PTS.

  7. So anyone else concerned this is another well placed BW troll to get people to spend CC, only to add leet unlocks during the expansion? Players been asking for mergers for damn near a year now, so why now?

Just saying....:confused::confused::confused: Been searching for a reason to play again...

Biggest thing I can see is that if down the road they merge into a mega server people will complain that they spent CC on a transfer. But since it's only 90 coins, people shouldn't complain too much.

  8. Personally, I have no issue with being on a PVE server. The only times that I PVE are when I am leveling or grinding credits via dailies. In both scenarios, I'm not looking to pvp. There still are locations where open world can happen on PVE servers. I'd just as soon pvp against players that want the same and are geared to have a chance. I'm not really into farming noobs just for lulz. So, I don't really see any difference between a pvp server and a pve server, except pvp server leveling and credit grinding can be extra slow and annoying.

I understand the hardcore pvp mentality - really enforcing the notion of imps vs pubs and the fact that the factions are at war. I played eve for a long time. It just doesn't feel the same in this game.

Yeah, this game never has had great open world pvp. Just low level farming for the most part.

  9. This isn't realistic and it's a lot more then 5ms, you lose 50-80ms from going cross-country and it's not a matter of 'not being able to handle it', it's a matter of networking and latency that no person who cares about their performance needs or wants to deal with.

Exactly. I tried to play on the west coast servers, it's just not feasible for the majority of people from the east.

  10. I think that The Harbinger should just become the only server out there, merge everyone except the Europe servers to The Harbinger. If you cant handle the ~5ms latency increase from the East Coast, then you probably should upgrade your internet. Europe can be merged into whatever the highest population Europe server is. PvP queue problems solved.

    That's a stupid idea. I hope you're joking.

  11. Ebon Hawk has been good for me ever since I came here from the dead server that is POT5. The queues are fast for both 60 and lower level warzones, and though I don't do a whole lot of ranked, I do see people saying that solo queues pop fairly often during primetime hours.
  12. This past season had the most amount of trolls and win-traders that I've seen out of all the seasons. Gotta be careful with the leaderboard since they're plenty of people who broke the 1650 threshold without actually earning their wins.

    Sad but true.

  13. Plenty of factors just in general to no particular class.

    1. What level was he? If he was 55-59, that player may have PvP gear with set bonuses and higher overall stats. Also, PvP relics with high procs.

    2. If level 55-59, he has more abilities and utilities at his disposal.

    3. Because of the higher level his abilities do more per hit.

    4. Like previous poster, Skill. if the guy has full set of previous pvp gear set. He most likely has established his rotation and and familiar with his class.

4a. Picking his targets. He knows which class are easy marks and goes after them first. Then he engages harder targets with the help of others, and less likely to get stunned or interrupted.

    5. Survivability. Maybe he had a pocket healer who kept him alive and on the field. The longer you are alive the more stats you put up.

    6. Not being objective. Some players will purely dps warzones leaving the capping, guarding, or helping to others unless the battle takes them that direction.

    7. Fluff. Look at the kills to kb ratio. If he has High Kills (25) and Low Killing Blows (3), chances are most dmg is AoE that is getting healed through. So stats look good, but ineffective.

    Pretty much sums it up.
