I have an honest question... What happens when this game goes F2P? Hear me out here please. In the current event, we have to ability to get BoL blaster rifles and sniper rifles. That is all fine and dandy just as when the next event hits (01/??/13 - so they say) we will likely get BoL lightsabres or pistols of some variety. What happens when a F2P character joins this fall/winter and wants to get one of these rifles. Oh wait, they can't. Why do I bring this up? With the current setup that BW has initiated, the F2P character will have to wait for that one event to roll around again. With the current estimations of events every 4-5 months, that will likely be 2-3 years before this event occurs again. So now, by not allowing all classes the ability to get items in every event now and in the future, your effectively alienating a player base that has not even begun to play the game yet. On top of that, BoL items will mean nothing to these players as they will only be allowed one initial character slot (likely more to be purchased in cash shop, but not all will buy extra slots even if available). The simple answer is most people won't care about the F2P accounts. With that said, that does not change the fact that BW has now set themselves up for far more of this reaction from the community in the coming years. BW, this ideology was asinine at best. I personally do not care one bit about who gets what in the current or future events. With that said, I can understand why some people are upset about this as I foresee this happening again when the next event hits.

Funny, I'm on Mind Trick and have no problems getting groups on my tank on Empire side. With that said, my healer is Pub side. What another earlier said about you can't heal stupid is porbably the most accurate statement I've seen in a while. As a long time healer, the best piece of advise I can give you is to learn to just shrug off what people say. It will not matter how good of a healer you are, people will still complaint. (even more-so if you don't heal stupid) Just make sure your tank stays up and be sure to remind the DPS to not be... well... stupid. As long as the tank is staying up no problem and the DPS are overall not dropping, you will likely never have anyone "abuse" you.

Never tried honestly. Lol. Due to being a tank, I rarely need to kite. I'll attempt shortly and post the results. I know you can use other forms of CC on most of them so I'd assume yes. Let me test it and I'll respond.

Depends on spec. For my hybrid, I run more End then Will currently. With my gear I am around 14k health with plenty of survivability to withstand most things. This really is a class more about using ALL your abilities compared to the other AC's in the game. As my BH, I roll thru everything without thinking. As my SI, I have to think about what I am going to do and when. Kiting is key if you are running a non-tank spec. As others have pointed out, you were not made to go toe-to-toe 1v1 head on. Taunting is a very good trick as others have said. When I ran Khem, I found if you taunted, he would immediatly taunt back so make sure you watch if that happens. No point in taunting the mob off if he just taunts back and dies. Also, you can usually get a feeling for the fight at about the 75%health lvl for you. If you see how much incoming damage you are taking, use your CD's as needed.

QFT As a darkness/madness hybrid tank, I do the DPS and never fall below 90% health. No downtime between pulls = win.

Since you want a higher lvl to chime in, I will. I currently run a lvl 46 Assassin that is spec'd hybrid darkness / madness. I can tell you that you are playing the class wrong. Not trying to be mean, but considering I solo all the 2+ heroics and tank plenty fine in Flashpoints, I don't see the issue. With that said, lets try to help you. Have you tried to use your healing companion? R2-V8 (Ship Droid) is a healer. He will do no damage with you, but with gear, he will heal you no porblem. Also, have you used any form of CC? You have Mind Trap that is a 1 minute CC ability. You also have Jolt, (all-be-it for 4 secs) and Whirlwind (for 8 secs). I personally leved straight darkness ("crappy" tank spec per you in the other thread) til lvl 40 with Khem most of the time and had no issues. Did I have to use cooldowns? Sometimes, sure. But I had no issues. Link your spec and rotation and I'll do what I can to help you.
