  1. I had to log in to reply to this thread. To the OP. I don't know where you got your information from. But regarding your statement about a PvE open world GSF would be a failure? You are so far out of touch with that ridiculous statement. I've been here since they first announced SWTOR being in development. The number one request till this day was to have an open world PvE space component like what was in SWG and X-wing vs Tie. During beta and when the game launched, it was the biggest disappointment that was constantly mentioned on the forums. Hell. It is one of the few things this community ever agreed on as a whole.

When they finally made their somewhat open flight game, it was a pvp game. That sent the forums into an even bigger blaze.

So no. You are wrong. If you had been here since beta or even when the game released, you would have known this and not made such a ridiculously stupid and outlandish comment. The rest of your posts are just lolworthy and not worthy of a response. But your GSF comment? Just wow.

  2. First off. Sorry if referencing another game is against the rules. I mainly bring it up to add context to my post. If it is a violation, then please accept my apologies and remove it.

In Elder Scrolls Online, there is a vendor that appears every Friday in Cyrodiil (the PvP area) that allows you to purchase set gear. Every week, the items are random selected to appear. They are usually overland jewelry piece and a monster helm or shoulder. They are purchased with currency that you gain in Cyrodiil called Alliance Points (AP).

From watching the live stream. It sounds like they are coming up with a similar concept. A vendor that appears every week with a random piece of gear that can be bought with a specific currency.

So what are your opinions about this new vendor? Personally from my experience in ESO, I think it's a great idea from what they put out in the live stream. Yes we will need more information on it and see it in play to get the full feel of it. But I like the concept seeing as it is similar to another game systems concept that works.

  3. First off, Glad someone did remember :D

While that is true what you just said, it don't need to be the same here, just the point of how to do it.

Fight down a cave or two while that might be a problem for many I do belive that's a tad simpler then get into a NiM ops group, the point I tried to make it you can do that one solo, NiM you can't.

As we both know that Cave..... Ooooo that Cave..... brings back memories :D

It was just an idea to do something different then gate all the "best" behind NiM or MM options.

Lol. Yeah. I remember it all too well. I was always gated from killing "her" and getting the badge because of the guilds that had her on lock. Same with a particular acklay in a certain cave populated by geonosians. I agree that I would like something different than everything being put behind the NiM Ops wall. But I don't want people to suffer the same frustrations myself and others had in the old game because we weren't lucky enough to be in a particular guild.

  4. I'll pitch in a bit here.

Yes I will refer to the "old" one.

Why not make it like this.

You can loot ONE time use schematics from the "world" or some would need to kill said Boss or other NPC.

Same goes for a item that the schematic needs to make that item, again, you need to kill said boss or NPC.

No I am NOT talking about ANY Op's or MM ones this time. That's GATING it..........

I remember one weapon, you needed to loot the schematic, it was ONE time use only.

Then you needed to go to said planet, enter a NON gated cave, fight all the way down to the "boss" kill her and she would drop an item needed for that schematic to work, and in the end, both were used up and you could make ONE of those, in the end IF you did it right it became one of the best weapons in the game, and yes it was WAY more complex to craft back then then this is, this to me is TO simple but that's another thing.

Here you have the option to make it so, all can get it or perhaps not all but it's an option and it will not flood the market, you get few of said weapons, thus "rare" and at the same time the need to relay on each other somewhat.

I must admit, the other SW game made this alot simpler lol, then you were either crafter or combat, not like here both.

Not all has to be behind a Ops wall, why?. To make someone feel better then the next one, for what ever reason ?.

What ever you use or wear, in the end it should be the SKILL of the person that matters NOT the gear.

As you self said about PVP, with the new bolster, it's down to SKILL not gear.

Make this the same, DO not limit crafting for that reason since even IF I would have the best gear there is, I know I will lost to alot of others simply becouse they are better then me, and that should be reason enough.

    Thank you

The thing you fail to mention is that even though that cave was open. It was heavily camped and that NPC was on a timer of 24 hours(it may have been 12 don't exactly remember). And who whoever damaged her more, won loot rights. The same with the "other" NPC boss that was heavily camped in another cave. If you weren't in the guild that held the monopoly on the boss spawn, you were either stuck out of luck or had to pay the ridiculous price for it. Either way, it was gated content.

So that idea you want is actually the same, if not worse than having it in NiM Ops because it is still gated content.

  5. Yeah. This will never happen. Doesn't matter how you try to spin your angle, EAware made the criteria to obtain it and it is up to you to fulfill it to get what you want. But as you have repeatedly said in this thread, you're too lazy to do it. So you deserve nothing.

    Mods. Close this thread please.

  6. My Suggestion for a Discussion Thread has to do with the expectations from a discussion thread. Putting up a thread is easy and people will post responses. Then what? Will there be a summary after a week or two? Any response expected from BW to the posters? Will the thread be closed at that point? Or will the thread just wither and fade away having served merely as a place to let off steam?

Topic: When and how should BW respond to the contents of a Discussion Thread?

This was going to be mine too.

  7. I actually enjoyed rogue one a lot. I liked the darker side of the rebels (cassian murdering his informant etc.) Kind of reminded me of the han solo shot first issue and solo's questionable morality. I enjoyed the story more than force awakens.

    Ashur

Same. It's my favorite Star Wars movie so far. I actually found TFA to be utterly disappointing. I watched it once and never watched it again. Rogue One I can watch again and again.

  8. From Patch Notes:

    Assassin

The Insulation Utility will now properly grant 30% armor rating for Hatred and Deception Assassins.

Maul no longer has a positional requirement but now deals slightly more damage if used while behind a target and less damage if used while facing a target.

I am actually surprised they did that with Maul. Even if it does have lower damage. Still a win in my book.
