  1. It's no game, it's very smart business or indeed life principle. But I agree completely, they will try get everyone in today/tonight.

The subject is a random movie quote that I didn't expect anyone to get.

But regarding BioWare policy: it's obviously been a major focus of their marketing strategy all along (notice all of the people on the boards referencing 'Cartmanland'), and it's worked out well for them. I say kudos to them, even if not everyone gets in tomorrow. Any reasonable logic suggests that if anyone was left out after tomorrow, they'd for sure be in by the next day.

  2. No nerdrage here. Just observations. Honestly, the "omg nerdrage" on these forums is being replaced by the sort of trolls who have responded in this thread so far.

... Surprised to see a thread that isn't a bunch of complaining or going bonkers, I guess? If anyone with something worth saying wants to weigh in, please do.

  3. The game: under-promise, over-deliver. BioWare/EA have been using this like crazy for this game, even when it came to release date discussion (remember the 'might not be out 'til 2012?'?). Also, just take a look at how the EGA has been handled in general: it exemplifies this principal.

In addition, they've shown that, from a technical standpoint, they have the ability to get most EGAs in tomorrow (save perhaps mid/late December as I'd imagine there was a spike in preorders there).

They promised to get to the last week of November in tomorrow. They'll deliver a lot more than that.

I don't feel that this is blind fanboy White Knighting for BioWare, but an informed guess based on their very deliberate movements, posts, etc. throughout beta, EGA, and so on.

  4. While I hope you're right and I do think this is what BioWare is playing at (getting just about everyone in tomorrow), SR is very careful about how he phrases things. "Letting even more in tomorrow" is very vague -- he could mean just more people let in, in a general sense, or specifically that on Friday more will be let in than Thursday.

Read some of his other, more recent posts. He's equally as cautious there. But I still get the feeling that tomorrow's the day...

Edit: If that was confusing, let me rephrase: he could mean that on Friday more players are being let in, period. Or he could mean more people are being let in than were let in on Thursday.

  5. Maybe they're listening to the angry mobs and waiting to see how the servers handle the LARGE amount of people they already let in. Maybe they haven't said "Final Wave" so that the option of more waves depending on server load is available...

    Maybe.
