  1. He's probably stacking buffs like the others are suggesting, but I've also found that I die ridiculously fast to good assassins and operatives on my sage if I stand still while they wind up on me. There's a good chance that even if you do get away from him that he's going to catch and hurt you, but if you use every trick that you have to annoy him then you might survive long enough to get help. I know it sounds lame that the stealthers are a pain in the *** for us clothies, but we have a ton of abilities that let us control the flow of the battle around us: A nearly spammable slow (or two depending on the spec), a ranged stun, a ranged interrupt, a sprint, an aoe knockback (which can be specced to root as well), a bubble (which can be specced to incapacitate when it pops), healing spells, a spell that makes our spells nearly an auto-crit (this one is fun to use with our small heal against stealthers), and a pile of ranged spells that can reallly annoy our opponents. If he still manages to get to you and kill you with all of those abilities, then he deserves the kill. Sages/Sorcs have a lot of fun in the wzs right now and it's nice to have a rock to our scissors to keep things challenging in the wzs. It's pretty sad, though, that it takes an exceptionally geared stealther choosing the perfect storm moment for it to really get ugly for our classes. I think I'm starting to get the OP argument here. It's not the damage, it's the gigantic bag of tricks.
  2. It's the truth. I'm pretty much unkillable on my sage with a tank nearby. And I'm talking a random pug wherein the tank decides to be smart.
  3. I agree with you on this. I actually quit right before TBC, but came back when I saw how awesome it was. The raiding content was incredible and actually got better as you moved along (Kael'thas was fun as hell the first time!) Wrath of the Lich King was okay, but TBC was definitely one of the best expansions in a game ever.
  4. I play a Sage and I agree that Sorcerers are annoying. Can you believe how cool their animations are? It's totally unfair! Also, their armor is cool and.... Did I miss the point of this thread? All joking aside, you can tell whether or not a class is finely tuned (or OP as some claim) by checking out their forums. If most of their complaining is about spell animations, gear, or general shared issues (such as the ability delay fun) then you're probably reading the forums of a class that is pretty solid. Personally, I hate my sage and love my Sith Juggernaut a hell of a lot more. I feel like the game is actually challenging now instead of permanently set to easy mode.
  5. I also unsubscribed for many of the same reasons. Everything feels too easy and I really hate that I can play 90% of the game without ever seeing another person in-game.
  6. I canceled my subscription last week. My biggest problem is the faction imbalance and I don't think any patch is going to fix that.
  7. But having no life and never seeing a woman naked is really tough! They did earn it through their absolute commitment to celibacy!
  8. This is ridiculous advice. Even if I had purchased 6 champ bags pre-50 I would have had one piece of gear going into the warzones. The gear system is a damn joke for PvP. There is very little to look forward to at 50 and that's a damn shame. WoW kept me hooked at 60, 70, and 80 before I finally quit for the last time. I'm already considering quitting before my third month because of how little challenge there is at 50. It's damn depressing that I was excited for a game for three years and it's potentially only keeping me entertained for less than three months. I know, QQ and don't let the door hit me on the way out.
  9. I'm only 1 for 12 here and I'm pretty damn frustrated. I can only imagine how angry you must be to have done all of that grinding only to be crapped on by arguably the worst PvP reward system that I have ever seen in an MMO. GG BW.
  10. I experienced this issue yesterday and it made me log out in frustration (although we are winning 3 out of 4 games Republic side on my server.) Maybe the game is shocked that we're winning so damn much with our awfully designed Republic gear? Who knows?
  11. I liked WoW's pvp reward system a hell of a lot better (even in the ranking days of world PvP at SS/TM and when we had to travel TO WSG and AV to queue in the battlegrounds.) At least you got something for your time. The bag system in this game is pretty damn terrible.
  12. I'm resubbing because I'm a silly fanboy, but I was pretty close to unsubscribing a few times as I moved along to 50. My friends convinced me to keep playing another month, but I feel like a lot needs to happen to keep me around beyond that. It feels like this game tried to be Star Wars: WoW and it's failing at many things all at once.
  13. Why are you shocked? Stormtrooper armor didn't do a darn thing against rocks and rope flung by little, furry bears in ROTJ. You should be happy that it stops anything at all.
  14. Your post is mostly correct. Will of the Forsaken followed by the Blood Elf racial in the Burning Legion helped start the shift towards the Horde. I remember the 1.5 hour Warsong Gulch queues when that BG first came out (and I also remember very rarely playing Alterac Valley due to the imbalance.) I had already planned on rolling Republic, but when I heard that there was going to be a massive faction imbalance I had to go with the underrepresented side. It just forces you to play smarter and get better in the long run.
  15. I agree with this post. What the post above it should have said was "It's not hard to get pvp gear if you have no life outside of the digital world."
