  1. I actually agreed with him. The system allows for players to interact prior to instancing and in fact promotes a social atmosphere in a game that is base of a social structure. As it stands players interact more than in other MMO's with tools that allow for you to queue and forget. Smaller group sizes and the use of companions changes the dynamics so that even smaller groups can be successful in the same instances.
  2. I am going to assume you are not familiar with the end game and Social gear that can be moded as well as dropped gear, as that nullifies the point. you have but one set of stats so you do not need different gear in your AC even if you respec. A macro to mount... mundane request imho. Assist works entirely different within SWtOR and if you play with it you will find that your assist macro's are not needed. But, if you insist that you need them for such things Logitech make Gaming pads that you can set macros to outside of the game... Actuall a ton of us do and we also realize how the dictatorship of add-ons became requirements... so much so that Blizzard was forced to integrate them to appease many. This in turn adjusted the game difficulty. First and foremost calling people nearsighted is a bit of an insult to many people that disagree with your opinions... MMO's have succcesfully survived without the use of add-ons in the past and this one is doing fine. This is not a wow clone, and the game play, gearing system, UI and design are different and not trying to learn those differences and adapt is a myopic view of the game in it's current incarnation.
  3. I must have missed the meeting where you were elected to speak on behalf of all of us end game raiders. As an end game raider I could not disagree more with you opinions. This is not a cookie cutter re-invention of your previously favorite flavored MMO, it is a new one. Try playing at max level raiding end game content before you come here dictating your opinions as facts. Many, many successful MMOs that have been here since before wow and still thriving lived a very long time without anything close to what you are requiring.
  4. It is amazing to me how many people say they do not want this game to end up like World of Warcraft, but are willing to beg for the tools to do it. I promise you if you play SWtOR as a new MMO and not as WOW2.0, you may gain a new perspective. The "tools/crutches" you are used to are not in this game in it's current form, and a ton of them simply are not needed. Play the game to enjoy it and you may find that gameplay though it may seem somewhat familiar is somewhat different and therefore requires a different viewpoint... one that is outside of the cookie cutter perception that all MMOs require and are required to provide certian "tools/crutches".
  5. This opinion is not going to be popular but... Mouse over healing is just going to dumb down the role. Mouse over healing had it's place when you were trying to heal 20/40 people, but it is not needed in this MMO at this time. That being said the healing role(s) has/have an opportunity in this game to be unlike any other "healing class(es)" in any other MMO. I love playing my healer for both the challenge and the fact that I have options other than just healing; that over healing can be very detrimental so much so that it actually takes a degree of player skill over gear to heal a flashpoint (instance) successfully at higher levels. I would like to see a GUI that allows for it's components to Unlock, Move, and Lock. I play on one screen at the moment and will be glad when I can chamnge back to playing across all three screens with a 5760x1080 resolution, but is impossible for me to do so and heal with the current setup.
  6. Here is my critique of your work and I only mean the following in a constructive way: * Your level of detail and explaination fluctuates in your article from the beginning to the end. It seems as though you are speaking through your article to a person with one familiarity of MMO's and online gaming and then change that intellectual level in the next. This should be constant thoughout the entire article. * When giving an example Screenshot, you should always ensure that the image is clear and able to be read by your entire audience, especially when you are referring to it in your documentation. * Spellcheck. Double spacing can cause your reader to either become confused and/or have little faith in your work based on its presentation. Justification of your paragraphs will add another level of professionallism, though not required. * Keep the entire document simple and do not repeat phrases like "is short for". As an example in your work one option could have been: You work has a lot of merit and needs some polish. This could be a very good asset to people new to online gaming with SWtOR, as long as you keep that audiance in mind when you are putting your work together. The above was after a quick scan of your work. Good job, and good luck!
  7. Please eliminate the use of our speeders in public space stations. Some players are using this to hide, un-tab targetable NPCs in order to restrict others abilities to interact with them. This has already happened in game where a few stacked on a crew training NPC so that others could not train, thank you.
