  1. I don't understand how PVErs think the CC in this game are ok as they are. It is absurd to have a full resolve bar and still be chain CC'd. And for the record, I have one DOT on my smuggler, it isn't even an AOE DOT.
  2. There is a reason why Warhammer failed, maybe the PVP Devs? Besides that, you think DOTs are a pain? Try playing a smuggler who has no real force run who gets cc'd all over the place because not all 3 types of CC's go towards the resolve.
  3. So, the DOT still applies when the applier dies?
  4. I was about to edit it, but I decided not to. That is sarcasm to all the people who say this is a team game.
  5. Well, this is a team game, an MMO. Shame on the groups who go into a WZ without a healer that can cleanse DOTs. Shame on them!!
  6. SS, vid or it didn't happen. And I want to see the FPS in the lower left corner, Shift+CRTL+F
  7. That is what I am saying though. The way it is coded, seems kind of wrong. Just because you have a DOT on me and I am taking 0 damage, I should still be able to cap a door because I am not taking ANY damage. The game should not recognize a DOT as damage, unless it is actually doing damage. I hope I am not misreading what you are saying. If the DOT causes damage, then it should stop you., Because you are taking some kind of damage. To me, it just seems that BW is just putting a band aid on the problem, not actually fixing it. Which I fear there will be more of these "band aids" to come and not an actual fix to the game itself.
  8. But that is the thing. Your DOT will cause them to take damage, so they should not even be able to cap a door/turret. Damage should cause the player to not be able to cap.
  9. That is the thing though. Your 5 hour DOT will not make me take damage, so I should still be able to capture the objective because damage SHOULD cause the timer to be stopped, not the DOT itself, but the damage form the DOT. EDIT: Maybe they need to make it to where damage cause you to not capture the objective, not the DOT itself, but the damage.
  10. I kind of see what you are getting at. I play a Scoundrel. I have I think one DOT. It is not an AOE DOT, but it is a DOT none the less. If someone is capping a door in Voidstar and I hit them with the DOT. They take damage, why wouldn't it stop them from capturing it? It makes them take damage, damage negates the countdown.
  11. I understand that. But a DOT does cause the person to take damage. Damage breaks the timer when they are going for the objective. Why doesn't it stop it? It does damage. Why not make the DOT not do any damage?
  12. A DOT causes damage to an enemy player. Damage will remove the count down towards the objective. In order to stop the count down, say in Alderaan, you have to do damage to said player. Again, a DOT causes damage. Why does it not stop them from completing the objective? IT DOES DAMAGE.
  13. Players affected by a Damage Over Time ability are no longer interrupted when interacting with objectives. This is one thing I will not like. Anyone marked with a DOT will take damage. Not sure why taking damage when capturing a turret will not agro them...
  14. Will you still be saying the above marks in red when 6 months hits and the bugs are still not fixed? How about 9 months, is that long enough for you to be mad?

Probably because you were acting like a chicken with their head cut off and ran out of range? How are we supposed to heal you while out of range, while having a cast bar timer for one our main heals? Derp
  16. Blame Bioware for allowing the game to start without 8 players on each side.
  17. Should resolve work on all three types of CC? I have had my resolve bar filled to where it was white, to still be chain stunned, then die. It seems like all three types of CC's are not affecting the resolve, and that not all 3 are being mitigated when the resolve bar is filled?
  18. Funny how they don't fix the hacks/bugs in Warzones, but yet they implement this. Let's not fix the bugs and problems that keep people from enjoying them, lets just kick the people who quit them. Very sound logic Bioware, very sound!!
  19. to be fair, I for one will be dropping all of my EA stocks if issues are not resolved. No, not minor issues, but some of the larger issues this game is facing. The more people who drop stock, the prices will go down.
  20. Hrm.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOlOOTpJQIE http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=159300 Wow, all these people are completely lying...
  21. The first issue he states, I think we all know. They work in teams. I would normally think that they develop modules and then fit those modules together. Second: There is a slight learning curve to learning the programming from another programming team, but not as much as this person states. This is why they leave comments in the code, so in case someone else comes in later and needs to fix something, they should be able to locate the code they need to fix, based off the comments. All programmers should use comment in their code, you learn this in basic programming classes in HS/College. Third: This person states that quest bugs are pretty simple that a Junior analyst/programmer should be able to fix in a short time by diving into the database to fix the problem. Why haven't the Class quests been fixed yet? Some people are still bugged and cannot progress on their class story line. After all, this is what SW:TOR is all about correct, the storyline? The rest seems to spot on and a little rambling. This is a very good game, but I have seen this type of Marketing (if you will) from other companies. You run out of money, so you take pre-orders. You get a bunch of money in for a product that has not been fully developed and use that money to fund more development projects. Sadly, this is how it seems to work in this industry. I believe it was EVE 2 that SOE released, and it wasn't finished. People got to the last part of the expansion, only to realize, the last quests were not in the game, but it was sold as a finished product. The real thing that gets me is: Bioware knew about most of the bugs during their BETA testing. I know, because I wrote some of the same bug reports that I am currently writing now. If someone of them were easy to fix, why not fix them when you had the chance? You knew about it, but decided to wait til a later date. This is more than likely why they have pre-orders so they can obtain more money. Disclosure: I am not a programmer, but I have programmed before. I have over 60 hours of programming classes, and I have worked on projects for a subsidiary for Halliburton and many others. Just my 2 cents anyway.
  22. The question I need to ask my self is: Should I go ahead and dump the stock I have from EA, or should I ride the good ride and see if it improves?
