  1. im in the process of editing it now i have looked into what you have said and re-done some tests read the early post again will look into the grammer and spelling in a sec bro im sorry but its not a strong suit of mine if you cant read it because of that im sorry i have just finished editing for now

This guy sums up everything that was said so i dont mean to aim it at you but your the one that it is easiest to do it at. badly written i know i have dysgraphia my grammer will always be bad im sorry okay so hold on everyones arguement against me is that we cant use tooltips or dps in pvp (the only in game dps meter there is) okay so quick question what the hell am i supposed to use. i use pvp cos its the only thing in the game which i can say look on average after i do this this and this i get almost a 100k dps. and im sorry but by the time they come out with a dps meter world firsts should be done so if you dont care about you know trying to get world firsts done or any raiding, flashpoints, ops, pvp, anything that requires any damage in the game what so ever with a sith inquistor then yer your right lets not have this disscus
  3. If you want damage and you want to be as good as you can be at the inquisitor role then this is what I’m trying to talk about. As has already been pointed out to me in reply’s some people don’t want damage or anything and don’t care so instead of flaming that we shouldn’t do it let me theory craft. This is theory crafting so yes i have to use certain things like pvp dps over no dps meter at all if you don’t see the strength in using a dps meter to check your dps even if it is only in pvp then I’m sorry but stop reading now. Please don’t reply about my grammar i know its bad deal with it this is theory crafting not me going back to school for grammar. Now the disclaimer is done let’s do something actually useful. please remember that I’m not level 50 the testing i have been doing was at level 31 I’m now level 33 and i still think the same as mentioned here so some of this like builds is theory crafted THIS IS WHERE IT STARTS Lighting in my eyes is an aoe tree; 6 of your 31 points directly have to go straight into buffing one aoe attack (some do buff other things i know but mainly the aoe attack) There are only three things on the tree which directly affect damage. 1) Increased damage after aoe. 2) 50% increase crit bonus damage. 3) 6% increased damage. Okay so 1 is the aoe thing again it’s got a cast time; you can’t use it around cc'ed mobs. 2 is a wonderful bonus not taking it away pity that it only works on crit attacks though. 3 you can get and i will get in my madness spec anyway. In comparison to the madness tree we have: (only looking at things that say 20% increase in damage for now) 1) 20% increase after lightning with no cast time 2) 10% increase crit chance on lightning 3) 12% increase on lightning 4) Chance for 50% increase on shock (animation takes a bit longer though sad face) 5) 15% increase damage on affliction 6) 2 seconds more damage on crushing darkness 7) 30% increase bonus crit damage Just doing the ratio starts leaning towards madness straight away but let’s look more in detail okay so 1 great skill procs a lot this with the no cd on lightning makes crushing darkness and lightning strike so spamable and much more powerful. 2 you can and most people do get when going lightning spec. to be fair 3 again same as above 4 only a chance and a small chance at that but still nice for a spell that you can chuck in anywhere with no cast time 5) Base increase on an easy to place no cast time dot 6 i have not got this confirmed yet that it actually does more damage will come back and confirm or not when i can but it looks like it’s a nice increase in damage 7 not as good as the lightning one but it’s for crit and we get so many base damage and think on this if your bas damage is increased by 20% that would mean a 40% increase in crit damage okay yes i used my damage in pvp to compare in game damage cost it’s the only accurate way of measuring damage my best damage in huttball with a lightning spec was 37k lower than my average with madness. there are flaws to this method of checking damage as pointed out to me madness is much more mobile however this is not just a good thing for pvp anyone that has done end game raiding will know that there is a lot of movement and you have to be able to dps on the move as well as standing still. i then tried against an elite mob which was also suggested to me i took 20 tries on the same elite mob waiting for respawn in a cave in alderan my time with killing them was 5-10 seconds faster on the madness spec and i was only able to pull aggro off khem Val with the madness spec obviously there are flaws again with this technique i may be better at my skill rotation with madness than i am at lightning. Also i just wanted to point out 2 last points before i get into the specs 1) The 50% increase in the tooltip damage of the final spell in both trees plus madness one has a cc. 2) your cc gets buffed better the in the madness tree than the lightning tree the one with no cool down allows you to wait till your tank is in before you cc instead of allowing the mob to run into the group while casting or trying to guess the time when your tank is going to charge in both of these can be catastrophic to early and you will take early aggro making the pull hard and maybe killing you, too late group cant aoe damage mobs.   4. im just going to put it out there but if your doing end game raiding. Why are you using an aoe tree and secondly why are you using the pvp tree. I think people see lighning and are like ooooooooh lightning. first of all you cant use all that much aoe in end game raiding if you need to cc things 2nd of all the madness tree for sorcs is op i have not found a dps meter but i can tell you at lvl 30 i constintly pull over 220k damage in huttball and thats with actually playing the game and not just dpsing for the sake of it. with my lightning spec i can pull 160k max. however that is not with being able to max chain lightning the best i struggle with it cos of the cast time to be far. now some facts for you the last spell on lightning and madness, the madness one does 400 more damage just on the tooltip alone i do except that there are other factors let me go into them lightning 50% increase in crit damage bonus madness is only 30% however you get a 20% increase in all damage from your dots when you use death field and on top of that you get another 20% increase on damage after a lighning procs then start taking into accont your other skills and start looking at the tree and comparing dps bonuses and i think you will come to the conclusion that i did lastly i just want to point out the whirlwing on both trees on one you have lowered duration which at end game raiding you shouldnt need cos by the time it stops your cd is down and if someone breaks your cc then you have bigger problems then your cd you have an idiot in your end game raiding. the other one on madness allows you to have insta cast whirlwind which is epicly useful in pvp (for the stun when broken) and in pve so you can actually wait for the tank to jump in and then cc instead of guess when he is going and start channeling 1.5 seconds before the exact time he goes in if not in end game raiding your going to see your mob run into the pack making aoe damage impossible (hurting your own dps in lightning ALOT) or if you go to soon your going to get bum ra*ed as if you drop the soap in the max security prison and you have a note stapled to your back with an arrow pointing down and writing saying 18th hole im gonna copy and past this into a new thread and talk about madness dps more my build and so on I hope this helps with your raiding
