  1. 1. You are fighting mobs next to a resource node and as you finish th fight your companion dies... you then try to gather the resource node but you can't because your dead companion is trying unsuccessfully to gather that node. In order to gather said node you need to rez or dismiss your companion. 2. Companions coming back from crew missions close out any windows you may have open. This is very annoying when you at putting the finishing touch on a very long bug report.... just about to hit submit when bam it is all gone because your companion thought him/her/it's mission result was more important. 3. No alternate planets to level up alts on... leveling up alts doing the exact same side quest over and over again makes this game un alt friendly. Edit. 4. How bland and static the planets are. The first time I went to Nar Shadda, I came across a cop speeder and some cop like people who were arresting some one and I thought this was awesome. A couple of months later and these people are still in the exact same spot doing the exact same thing.. you would think by now they would have at least gotten the perp in the speeder, I guess these NPC's must get paid by the hour.
  2. What makes Sorc's and Sages so darn good it that there is no real down time... they hardly ever run out of resources. I have a lev 50 sage and a lev 38 Sorc and I am almost always top dps/kills and top heals (but this is more because no one seems to want to play pure heals anymore). Our single target dps does not make for huge numbers (I have never gotten the 5k dps medal yet and often just barely get the 2.5k dps medal) but it is very constant, it is nothing but dps with next to no down time due to our very good mobility and exceptionally good resources mechanics. Having played a sniper to lev 40 and several other classes to the mid 30's, I enjoyed some of those classes but the thing that always made me go back to my Sage or Sorc was the poor resource mechanic of those other classes. For some reason it felt like there was just as much down time as up time with every class except the Sage and Sorc. I think bioware should look into improving or brining in line the resource mechanics of every class to that of the Sage and Sorc before they start looking into nerfing the Sage or Sorc. Edit.. I guess what I am trying to say is that the Sorc's and Sage's are like the energizer bunny... they keep going and going and going.
  3. Had this happen tonight as well, I was on my lev 43 sage helping two of my friends run some FP's (who were on level) and no matter what we did we would wipe.... eventually all 4 jets would be lit and there was no place to stand with out getting set on fire. However do to a mistake by one of my friends (do to his anti virus minimizing SWTOR he ran in and agro'd the boss) thus shutting us out of the room and when the boss killed him he ran right through the door and fought us out side the room. Having already died 6 times to this guy do to a bug I figured he owed us his own death do to a bug .
  4. 13. Please don't throw me the ball... please don't throw me the ball. 14. Damn when is this force field going to drop so I can get back into the action. 15. Oh... I should have went to the bathroom before I queued up for another WZ.
  5. Ever wonder why you hardly ever seen players from the other faction while leveling up? I did when I was leveling my Imp Sniper up to lev 41 on a pvp server. I think I had maybe 3 open world fights and maybe seen a total of 10 republic players. It was not until I started leveling my Jedi Sage (lev 35 now) that I realized why you hardly ever see players from the other faction, for the bigger part of each zone you are in... each faction is in their own instance. Repubs go to Taris around lev 16-20 and Imps go around upper 20's. Imps work from the south to north and Repubs work from north to south, heck both sides even share the same camps and quest hubs. When you go through on you imp Camp A is filled with imp quest givers, when you go through on your republic Camp A is filled with republic quest givers. It is the same thing with Balmora... heck republics get quest to go tear up the main Imp base on Balmora but you never see the opposite faction.
  6. I came up with some ideas on how to reward players in this thread. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=208828 Sadly either my ideas sucked or it got pushed back to page 10 before people got the chance to see it.
  7. What?? People wanting to play their 1-49's in warzones instead of their 50's after the game has only been out a month should be a major flag that something is not right. So I do think the answer to those question have some bearing.
  8. Depends on the maps.... if swtor ever made a map just like Alterac Valley then yes I would. But I think you misunderstood my point... I think there should be rewards just not gear based rewards that create an advantage for players.
  9. Gear based progression in pvp can be counter productive... instead of keeping lots of players playing for long periods of time pvp'ing for fun unique items and titles that players can earn on an equal playing field they give us gear based progression that keeps the strong stronger and drives off players. For those that would argue different.... I ask you this. How long is your level 50 queues? If they are short, what % of the warzone matches are Hutball and what % of those matches are against the same people over and over again? Finally how is open world pvp (Illum)... is it dead or thriving?
  10. Any person with vision and creativity can add non gear based rewards that will keep people playing for long periods of time.
  11. That is what I am hoping for.... for the longest time I wanted Swtor to be the game to end all games but I do not see that ever happening so now I am rooting for another game to cater to my pvp needs. GW2's WvWvWpvp looks amazing and maybe just what I have been looking for pvp wise .
  12. Find and post some solid concrete evidence to back up your claim and then i will say "I GET IT"... until then I will just think of it as Players players eating what ever is put before them because we currently do not have any other real choices other than the gear treadmill based pvp. Really until a company puts forth the same time, money and effort as Blizz and Bio has we may never know if a non gear based pvp will succeed or not. Not to mention that pretty much all the pvp problems we are seeing are because of the pvp gear grind and the gaps it creates.... people need the gear to compete so they will take any and all shortcuts they can to get it as fast as possible, Kill trade on Illum - check, higher pop farming lower pop - check, people not sticking around for losing WZ matches - check, people rolling on high pop side to gain advantage - check, people not willing to roll low pop side to help balance the pop - check. The game could be so much more than what it is now if they would just remove the gear based incentives and made all the rewards more on the fun side (unique stuff that can only be gotten through pvp).
  13. You are right.... your post was a waste of bandwidth .
  14. Amen brother!! Someone has the forsight to think long term and not short term like many people who defend the expertise stat.
  15. I wonder how many of those sandboxy mmo developers had the time / money / great IP to work off of as did Bioware? Kind of hard to really judge what people truly like until a major developer throws at least a lot of time and money at a dynamic sandboxy game. As for the OP.. I agree! This is Star Wars but Bioware seems to have left out the WARS and perhaps even the STAR... after all Star Wars is a vast universe with many many races but we are limited to only a few races to play. I think Bioware could have spent more of the voice acting money on creating more races for players to play. There is only so many times you can listen to the voice overs before you start quickly space baring through all the conversations.
