I'm looking to get reunited with some old SWG guildies pretty soon and wondering if a faction change will be available during server transfer or so something similar possibly planned for the future. Anyone hear anything about this?

I was all pumped up for the companion. I stocked up over 800 daily comms to gear him out and poof!! just Cybertech schems. No problem, I have an alt with Cypertech 400 that I can dust off. Purchaced a schem, traded and learned it but the mats are WAY over my playstyle (I don't raid) so it's near impossible / bank breaking to get the mats to craft this stuff. Anyone try gearing him in Columi mods yet? I purchaced a Columi helm but couldnt get the armoring to fit in any of the slots. Any ideas on how to get around this dilema?

Will the set bonus on the armor mod override the one currently assigned to a piece of gear? I want to put a DPS armor on a piece of tank gear for the look, and obviously the bonus. Any idea if this can happen?

Seeing as the armor mods now has assigned set bonuses to them, I was wondering if the Armor mod will cancel out the already assigned gear set bonus. For example, I am a DPS Trooper. I like the look of the Rakata tank chest piece, but the bonus assigned to it won't help me much. If I buy a DPS armor mod from the BH vendor with a DPS bonus, will the armor's bonus override the one on the item?

Dinged 50 and have been running HM flashpoints for the past few days. My goal, as I have done with my other character, is find the gear with a set bonus that looks good. Then stock up on BH comms to switch out the mods. For example, I really liked the old Centurian PvP "Homeless Jedi Consular" gear. 4 pieces for the bonus and filled it full of BH mods. My problem with my smuggler is the fact that being pretty much full SS spec and i've read that the first priority is to stack crit / surge. All the mods I see are all Acc / surge. Can somebody please tell me the optimal set name to get for this guy. I have started buying the Tionese Fieldtech set (I think that's what it's called) because it has the only bonus that I have an ability for. But what about the BH gear that has no "no brainer" hint to it? Thanks.

In all my years of playing subscription based games (SWG, WoW) over the past 9 years, I have never been more satisified as a customer than I have with Bioware. Say what you want about today's downtime. As unfortunate as it is (today was my day off), I understand that things happen. I'd rather a day down than logging in and finding all my "stuff" gone and having to sbmit a ticket and waiting a week. Bioware got on the issue right away, gave as much info as they could as far as updates go AND gave us a free day. Reading the hate poses compairing this incident to the NGE makes me laugh. Go outside and get some fresh air, it will be back tonight.

I've been tryingto find this out too, but with a little twist. I hear that you can RE purple gear to get the schematic for the look of the item. I really like the "smelly homeless Jedi" of my Centurion set and would love if if I could Re the pieces into 3 slot orange and make it into PvE.

The one i'm looking for is the brown raggety looking one. I currently have the Seeker robe. The green with the shoulder pads.

I just got 3 pieces of the Centurian PvP armor. I really like the iconic look on my consular but hate to PvP. As i'm sure you already know, they are purple with enh/mod slots with a set bonus. Will I be able to RE these items and make them a 3 slot PvE item? I'm a bit worried that there's a chance for failure due to the fact that the Centurian set will no longer be obtainable in 1.2.

I have never been a fan of PvP in any game i've played. But due to the sissy appearance of most item sets that this class has, i've been forced to do it. Altough I stink at it, i am enjoying myself. Today, i just bought 3 pieces of the Centurion PvP set (chest, lower and belt). IMO, between the colors adn appearence, it is the most iconic look from the movies. Now i'm reading they are making this gear unattainable due to the changes in PvP. Does anyone know if they are going to still make this style obtainable as perhaps as a crafted item?
