  1. You argue it wasn't meant to be viable but contradict yourself by pointing out the gear is pretty much the same as the pve gear... So how is that not a viable resource then? You reaching when you say a lot of people actually level IN THIS GAME through pvp. Maybe now post patch, and pre-50's are no longer fodder. I get it man, you saw a wall of text and felt the need to break it down because you are bored with all your 50's maybe? After my one response it now just becomes trolling. It was fine the way it was. They increased it with not warning or even listing in the patch notes. Now pre-50s will either save their wz comms for later and/or spend most their time in pve. Simple as that.
  2. Thank you Invis for the play by play break down of my post but case in point is this: With CURRENT changes its seems a waste to pvp before 50, I don't think anyone levels solely on pvp... That's hasn't happened since DAOC. I am saying casually pvping while CONCURRENTLY leveling for the occasional upgrade to gear is no longer viable. Thus increasing pre-50 queue times even more and defeating the purpose of rewarding pvp before level 50.
  3. Didn't realize a post was already made about this so I will copy/paste the one I just made. Increased costs of lowbie WZ commendation gear wasn't thought out imo. Taking 50's out of the mix now pretty much doubles q times. And that's is on a high pop server. Yes, I get the thought process behind that, it should have been in the game since day one. But how does that justify increasing gear cost and doubling the weapon costs on said pre-50 gear? So not only do I spend twice as long in the queue, I have to do twice as many WZ's to get a weapon I may want? That's encouraging people to skip WZ's altogether and blitzing to 50. I have been "running the brackets" on every character I ever created in WoW since Vanilla. To those not familiar with WoW, it basically means PvPing in every level bracket available through Battlegrounds while leveling up to max. You know, taking the time to enjoy PvPing while leveling, which many like myself consider to be more fun than the rat race. I planned on doing something similar here, just with it being at every new gear/weapon level that was available to purchase. Consider this, a level 20 pre-patch could spend one night PvPing through warzones and get brand new modable chest and legs, and probably enough for the 24 weapon. It seemed fair because you would probably get better soon through FP's or questing without having to mod. Now, its only conducive to do this if you happen to like the graphic because your time investment might be 3 days or more (average working-class player). They turned a viable upgrade resource into "don't waste your time unless you like the aesthetics". If anything, it should have been quite the opposite. The gear should have cost more when 50's were carrying the lowbies. Before I post this lets just make it clear again what I am saying; 50's in their own bracket was a needed welcome change to all those at max. But how does that justify the said lowbie WZ commendation gear cost changes? I am no longer queuing until I hit max, basically encouraging me to blitz, and I think others may have similar feelings. If I was the mmo company I would much rather have many players like me than to have someone blitz 4 50's in a mere fraction of the time and end up cancelling due to boredom. And about this: Not factoring in 20/40 gear, just weapons alone, pvp use to be a viable resource for a wep upgrade. Pre-patch it would cost 1380 wz comms to purchase every single new weapon available at each tier being 14, 24, 34, 38, 42, 46 (aka "running the brackets"). New costs bring that number to 3480. Why would anyone in there right might waste that much time on pre-50 gear? It just reaffirms my conclusion that blitzing to 50 is now encouraged.
