I think capturing and holding bases to help influence PvP bonuses like in DAOC would be awesome. It would be even cooler if the PvP bonuses carried over into the warzones.

Yea I was watching a guildie's stream and there was hardly any server traffic at all. Server looked more like a ghost town. So not only did those guys get a pre pre launch they got their own semi-private servers to level up in peace before the chaos erupts.

considering most will be above level 20 by Dec 20th and 60+ % of everyone who will play this game will be in game by Dec 20th ... I would call this a "launch event" but not launch day. The "launch event" has been deemed "early access". Oddly enough most stores advertise 5 days of "early access" with your per-order. It will be interesting to see the potential legal problems that could erupt if they don't get all of those people the proper access to receive the full 5 days. I could see at a minimum getting free copies of the game because you weren't given your 5 days that you paid for. (and yes if they advertise it as part of the product that you are buying it is no longer a "gift"). Although I am sure someone put fine print saying you may not receive the full 5 days... right?
