  1. Thank you. Anyway, CPU + motherboard upgrady has to be start
  2. Thank you all for your replies. One more thing I would like to ask: I have an archaic processor Core 2 Duo with 6GB DDR II 800 MHz RAM. When I upgrade to new i7 Haswell system and keep the old Nvidia 460 GTX card, will there be some FPS increase? How much is SWTOR performance related to CPU?
  3. My card is quite old, Nvidia 460 GTX So my concern is not a better support for my card, but only wheter new driver changes somehow affect SWTOR performance or flawlesness. I read time to time that some glitches appear in SWTOR with different driver versions. Thank you for your replies.
  4. I dont think it is always good to upgrade. New problems may arise. I upgrade only when I have the reason to do it. But sometimes I blindly try new drivers. And sometimes I rollback to older
  5. Hello to all of you. I have older Nvidia driver 335.23, installed on 10.3.2014. Is it worth to upgrade to new driver 344.48? Are there any benefits or problems? Thank you in advance.
  6. I love this zoomed out character too! I wanted this view all the time I play SWTOR, since its launch. Please, leave it and fix the switch to other characters to be zoomed out the same way.
  7. Now I found the way. I simply cannot upgrade GPU first, because all the modern graphic cards need PCI Express 3.0 and my old motherboard for Intel Core 2 Duo has only PC Express 2.0. And I think it is unwise to buy an old card for an old slot. So... I need to upgrade motherboard + CPU + RAM first. My shop offer solved it for me
  8. Only one thing to add is that your first name must be unique, so there cannot be a character named Joe Smith and another named Joe Mesala. I advice to choose nice first name and then play and wait for legacy.
  9. I have to react. You are right, I see it on european The Progenitor. And I know why. This RP server is on the top of the server list and many people just select the fist one and trying to play PvE/PvP there. I find it sad.
  10. Thank you for such a good response. I have only 4GB RAM and that's a problem, I know it. Every time I play SWTOR I end up with swapping out of RAM. But the problem is I run my Core 2 Duo on 2.89GHz overclocked with Corsair Xtreme RAM modules all those 6 years and now 800Mhz RAM modules suitable for that overclocking are quite expensive in these days. I tried some cheap Kingstons, but overclocking always failed. So I realized I don't want to invest in expensive slow 800MHz RAM modules. But maybe you are right, that GPU must come the first. The question is how much my old Core 2 Duo will slow down fast Nvidia 660 Ti card.
  11. Thank you both. Maybe I will start with CPU + motherboard upgrade even though the price will be twice as the price of the graphic card. Current set is quite old now and more CPU power and RAM will be useful elsewhere too.
  12. Hello people, I come here to ask for some advice. I run SWTOR on all details maxed on my 6 years old computer: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz (overclocked to 2.88) 4GB RAM (800MHz) Nvidia 460GTX Cyclone and I'm experiencing 20-30 FPS in 1920x1200. The question is, what's the best hardware upgrade to increase my FPS if I don't want to buy whole new PC: 1) change graphic card to Nvidia 660 Ti or similar and leave the old motherboard a processor 2) change the motherboard and processor to Intel i5 and leave the old 460GTX card Thank you very much for your comments...
  13. NeveHimself: I think this is not resolution problem. Have you tried to fully uninstall, delete and reinstall the game? You can also try these steps, provided by BioWare Customer Service: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=3396
  14. Hi, I will try to give you some things to check, maybe you'll find something: Are other games on you computer launching well? Are they running well? Do you have enough memory (free memory) to launch a game that eats over 1 GB of RAM? Do you have the latest graphics drivers installed? When you restart your Windows and quit all the programs running in tray or anywhere, the problem is the same?
