  1. So, I've been thinking about ways for me to sink more of my time into this game, and one idea in particular crossed my mind. No, I'm not talking about the security key. I'm talking about an app that lets me do my crafting while I'm sitting on the bus, or when I'm slacking off at work, or just don't feel like logging in. When I log in to play SWTOR, I don't want to spend an hour moving between alts to do crafting, I want to play. Let me do the boring, menial work while I'm at my boring, menial job. Why not make it fun, too? Throw in some minigames where your result determines how many mats you receive. I'm just saying. I'd pay for this, too. Or how about a game that lets me play space missions while I'm on the subway? Of course, this would also be tied to your SWTOR account and get you credits and XP. Obviously. I'm no genius, BioWare; I just come up with the ideas and you guys implement them. Cheers.
  2. Dear OP,

I'm very glad you enjoy the game as I do, but as a courtesy, if you make a thread put a meaningful title on it.

    Sincerely,

    Me

I honestly could not think of a meaningful title.

  3. I know I'm going to catch some flak for what I'm going to say, but I don't really care. These forums are filled with people that whine and complain and are generally, for lack of a more appropriate word, mean. Bioware is a company and companies need money to survive. So yes, they'll be charging for their services; yes, they'll continue to have micro-transactions. But you know what else has micro-transactions? Your car, in the form of buying gas. Probably your house, in the form of mortgage payments or rent. People just need to be a little more understanding of how the world works and maybe complain a little bit less. Personally, I feel Bioware has done a good job with SWTOR. A great job? No, but a good one that I'm willing to continue paying 15$ a month for (because, honestly, that comes out to like 50 cents a day).

The Cartel Market? I like that, too; it's got some nifty, albeit slightly expensive, stuff on it. And all these micro-transactions people complain about? We don't have to partake in them; they're all cosmetic (assuming you're a sub, which you should be) and as such you can continue to play the game just fine without them.

I'm not rich, but I do have disposable income that I don't mind spending on TOR, because at the end of the day any extra money I put in on top of my subscription fee is helping keep this game that I love alive. I've met some pretty awesome people in this game, it helps me keep connected to my girlfriend who lives 800 kilometres away between September and May and 2800 kilometres away during the rest of the year. Honestly, I don't regret a single purchase I've made in association with this game.

Thank you, BioWare, and keep up the good work.

Tl;dr: BW did good with SWTOR.

P.S. Please stop fixing my free cable and start fixing my broken toilet.

  4. Romance was never an issue and just something started by posters. Gear and languages are the only concerns although they can be overcome.

Well for Kel'dor (correct me if I'm wrong), language isn't a huge issue. You just give them a tinny sounding voice. Like wearing helmets now.

  5. Your damn right it's their prerogative. That's why raiding guilds should be filthy rich and have absolutely NOTHING to complain about when it comes to repair costs.

Yes, but assuming we were filthy rich in the first place, these tripled repair costs are going to kill us. Smaller raiding guilds can only sustain so many repairs from guild funds, especially during progression runs on NiM EC. Now, with tripled repair costs we might have to ask our members to use their own cash and I just don't think I should have to ask that of them.

  6. I'd like to see some perks that make guild-wide RP more viable. eg. A ship for your guild in the fleet or something, or guild armour (as mentioned above), or whatever.

Being able to choose the colour of trooper armour would be nice, too (not just having to pick certain armour sets to get those colours). Myself and a couple buddies started an RP trooper guild (kinda like Republic Commandos on Begeren, but we're military irl) and having all our troopers running around in different colours makes us look like an army of rainbows, not a professional fighting force.
