  1. With each planet I've come to I'm always 3 or 4 levels above the enemies. I haven't been doing any pvp, just mainly quests and working on my crafting. I know Bioware wanted us to feel heroic but being over leveled is just not as fun or challenging in my opinion. Hope they tweak this in the future

I'd much rather story quests give too much XP than be forced to do warzones/space combat and waste time LF flashpoint/heroic groups.

  2. Is there a secure way to swap items between the main-char (jedi) and twink (bounty hunter)? Surprisingly the mail system prohibit to write private message between both sides. As Kishae stated this could be solved with a shared account bank.

    [Twink = Twin Character]

AFAIK there is no cross faction mailing. Youd have to use the GTN and hope someone didnt ninja your item while it was up.

  3. When I get a new sports car I do not test it in a parking lot, I get it on the highway and open it up. Lets get this sucker on the highway today and see what she can do. I would much rather put up with crashes then have to sit and watch day two of this crap.

"Do, or do not! There is no try."

And this is why most test drives have a salesman with you. The dealer doesn't want to put up with your crashes.

  4. Obviously the movie theater is liable. They did not inform me that other people have bought tickets before me and I may have to wait in line before finding a seat. Also, ***, why aren't their doors wide enough so that we can all enter the movie at the same time? This is 2011! I would sue.

Other than how movie theaters operate is now a common business practice, I wonder what it would take to get a suit like that to pass first blush.

  5. as title says

I payed the exact money , i was not informed by amazon that people who preordered first would get in first.

Why are there 2 sets of rules being thrown around by BW/EA

I'm guessing you weren't informed because you didn't really read the text that pertained to the game/order or the email with the code...

Your failure to read the rules doesn't give rise to a duty on the part of EA/Bioware to let you in earlier. Ergo, they aren't liable to you for anything.

    Let me re-use this analogy:

You arrive at a movie 15 minutes before showtime. There are two hundred people in front of you with tickets. You buy a ticket. Do you then: A) Go wait at the back of the line or B) Run to the front, cut two hundred people and yell "I paid the same as you so place in line should all be the same" only to suffer a nuclear wedgie?

  6. See the fact that they have been saying in NOVEMBER that you may get up to 5 days early proves that this is wrong unless they're full of ****. I know it says MAY but that's still means it's likely.

Yeah. If things keep going @ Tuesdays pace them being "wrong" will result in me getting 6 days of early access instead of 5. If things go slower then Tuesday a "wrong" time frame will net me 5 days of early access instead of less than 5. I fail to see the downside for me.

Also, the terms: may or up to ! = WILL or SHALL

/starting to ponder if some of the QQ wouldn't be here if schools were better at teaching reading comprehension and we stopped with the special snowflake participation award nonsense.

//should clarify in the US its always been UP TO 5. No clue about other countries sales material.

  7. Or how bout you arrive at a movie theater and have no idea where you stand in line, you just know you'll watch the movie before the theater closes.

Note quite. I see where you're trying to go, but you know if you arrived on Jul 21 you're seeing the movie long before the girl who showed up Dec 1. The not knowing or even being given a guesstimate is rather fail tho.

/is an adult who can deal with a SWG* or anticipated range, has a harder time dealing with "whenever"

    *scientific wild a**** guess.

  8. Agreed man, Bioware doesnt know how to **** up a game, they sure aren't about to start now.

Besides, all these crybabies on the forums, if they were let in right now they would be clogging up general chat with troll crap

No, they'd clog trade chat. For some reason trolls are too stupid to figure out how to use the actual general chat channel.*

*Applies to WoW, assumes trolls will follow suit and muck up an inappropriate channel rather than use a general channel.

  9. Just a question people not a QQ thread.

Does anyone else see a problem with server stability come the 20th? Making this staggered EGA seem unnecessary?

    Possibly.

While they are staggering now that's out the door on the 20th. Further, with what appears to be a very low number of people invited on day 1 with a very early cut off (2pm CST) it seems they don't actually trust their servers to be scaleable. Sure there's not much lag but if a server is at 1% capacity there'd better not be.

Then there are the issues with logins/client downloads/installs/patches/graphics cards that are still (forgot to mention the sexist quest bug for the female bounty hunter) show stoppers that have been present a long while in Beta. I'm not sure how their already overstressed support system will deal with a deluge on the 20th. If they haven't been able to handle the small numbers let on day 1 of EGA, they're going to need a higher power or six come the 20th. I wish them the best but their tight lipped policy and seeming inability to figure out a decent server load combined with what appears to be zero effort to fix known issues has me not holding my breath.

  10. This. I'd give a C too, but if ALL preorders aren't capable of logging in by Saturday morning, then it drops to an F. I dont' care what people want to say about buying early, everybody paid the same amount of money, anything more than that much of an early start is just getting ridiculous.

So tell me how you deal with movie theater lines if you arrive after a lot of other people? Cut to the front of the line because you paid the same price as everyone else?
