I'm a level 50 and have been soloing Maelstrom for the past few days in pursuit of this item. http://www.torhead.com/item/9JROYdL I have been skipping all the mobs and going straight for the bosses. And no drops as of yet Has anyone come accross this helmet in game, if so do you know which boss drops it? And should I be killing more mobs to unlock the giant beast boss of the FP or should I ignore it?

I'm looking for a specific item in the Maelstrom Prison, A black trooper helmet. Does running solo increase my chances of it droping over finding a group? I've run about 20 times solo and no drop as of yet.

No you don't have to heal, but there are many situations where it's handy to be a competent off-healer. I'm a full Gunnery DPS spec, and with the Tryant Sith Boss loving to choke our healer, its was very handy for my to pop in and through in my own heals on the tank which are pretty powerful despite not being spec into healing. A DPSer's main roll is DPS, so the "everyone the can heal, must heal" doesn't fly. Just understand that a little off healing can be handy for some bosses. Just one or three heals can be the key between pass or fail

Yeah I looked back on the other set pieces and one appears to have dropped from maelstrom. I'll have to run that FP mulitple times to hope it drops there. Thanks for the info Brode. I'll have to wait until Veela wakes up though D:

First, of this is Hoth, your claim for "low level" is completely invalid. Second we were attacking with lowbies in their mid 20s. A team of levels that shouldn't even be on Hoth and we still held your base for 4 hours without even relying on companions for the most part.(we did start using them at the end) Your people had to bring in three times the numbers to stomp us. And here you are demanding praise for deviling the final blow on the last 7 surviving members. I guess I could say you did some pro team supporting there. But with the way you've treated your own team, I can't even give you that. You could have made an motivational video about how the "other sith" banded together and took back their base, instead you squander it comparing yourself as the Michael Jordan of the Sith. A true pro would be thanking the guilds that made that win possible, not taking their credit and demeaning them with the term "other sith". And that is your greatest offense. As amusing and heart-warming this thread is to me(as I will forever save this in my bookmarks), there really is no further discussion to be had. The original arguments the OP attempted to make have no factual data what so ever. OP continues to contradict himself on a consistent basis. The video doesn't even support his claims. And we have 6 pages filled with ego stroking, a monotonous reference to an imaginary majority, and not a single soul is buying the poodoo he's spewing out. Need I say anything more?

Unfortunately sir, no I didn't. I missed out on both Nar Shada and Alderan for the same reasons. Lag freeze during traveling forcing me to restart and wait in a que, with you guys killing it by the time I long back in. It's no trouble, I'll have the pleasure of killing those two one day.
