  1. Good luck getting anybody to ever admit that they're bad at a video game on a forum, lol.
  2. You're pretty funny, too. Brb, grabbing some popcorn.
  3. That video was from before the patch with the level 50 brackets. May want to watch it more carefully before you throw around insults.
  4. I'll actually have to agree with that. I have a Sniper which I'm levelling atm, and it's in no way as spammable as Tracer. The two can't really be compared. But I also feel Sniper could use some buffing. edit: Regardless, Tracer is still not OP in any way. People have some major illusions about the amount of damage it deals. They're probably seeing an HSM crit and thinking it's another tracer.
  5. I live in Norway and am playing on an NA server and I do not have issues landing interrupts with my Marauder. People need to react quicker. Or hotkey the interrupt to something they can hit faster, like a mouse button.
  6. Do you have any idea how bad you make yourself look with comments like this?
  7. I won't pretend to have an intimate understanding of all the damaging types of the various classes, but don't several of the other DPS classes incorporate the use of Internal and Elemental damage into their DPS rotations/loadout? If so, it's not all that surprising that Mercs get armor pen more readily, as almost all the damage they deal is energy/kinetic, and thusly affected by armor. The theory behind the Devs reasoning for having it set up this way was possibly that they felt that since other classes use unmitigated damage to an extent (Obviously not primarily, I know most damage is affected by armor), that allowing Mercs a higher amount of Armor Pen evens the field considering the lack of unmitigated damage. I'm just spitballing here, though, I'm not making a concrete claim, either way.
  8. There's a whole two of you making this claim at the moment, and with no proof. You probably shouldn't be trying to speak for the whole community. All readily verifiable data indicates that the abilities are complete mirrors. If you can demonstrate actual proof supporting your claim, then I will concede that an adjustment needs to be made as they are intended to be completely equal.
  9. And if you had the mental fortitude to read the second line of my post you would see that I acknowledged that. This is when I should say 'derp', right? Also, whilst animations cause delays in damage dealing, nobody is claiming that the actual damage numbers are skewed, which you are. It's all about the delay. Grav and Tracer do exactly the same damage type and have exactly the same numerical values for their damage on their tooltips. There is no reason to believe that Grav deals substantially less damage than Tracer simply because you say so.
  10. I am supporting the currently accepted truth, you are contesting it. You have the burden of proof. Don't you know how this stuff works? And yes, it is known that there are some differences, but this is not among those documented and verified issues. anyways, off to work.
  11. I don't need to. You're the one making a claim that goes against the accepted knowledge of the playerbase, and as such, the burden of proof is on you, of which you have supplied none.
  12. I've read your claims that Grav hits for less than Tracer, which it doesn't. I read your post saying that your friend gets hit for different amounts, but we all know how valid 'my friend' claims are. You have produced nothing valid to support your claim. Ergo, your nonfactual statements aren't really worth in-depth discussion.
  13. Not at all, I read it and deemed it factually incorrect, which I already posted. Granted it was in reply to another sub 50 commando using made up numbers, but there was really no need to copy/paste the response when your posts were in such close proximity. Anecdotal evidence is not all that valid, and even if it was, I being an Imp would mean that I'm more likely to have fought a large amount of players from both factions due to faction imbalance and Huttball and I can assure you that Tracer and Grav round hit me for the same amount from equally geared targets as a full champ merc. Your 21 BH doesn't qualify any more than my level 20 Vanguard. My lowbies get hit just as hard from Grav as my Vanguard has been getting hit by tracers.
  14. We're not ignoring it. It's just wrong and not worth discussing.
  15. Ignoring the other things that stack from the use tracer doesn't really seem to indicate a vast amount of class knowledge when coupled with not knowing the cast time of the ability. You shouldn't have to log into the game to check the cast time of the ability the entire tree is built around.
  16. I think you mean cast time. But that's true for Snipe as well, they're both 1.5s casts.
  17. Operatives *and* Scoundrels were saying that. You know why? Because they're mirrors and the abilities do the same amount of damage.
  18. This is so wrong it's absolutely hilarious. This is why you can't take nerf threads on these forums seriously, people don't even know how the game works.
  19. And some will remember which players actually use their interrupts, and attempt to bait it out by starting with Power Shot once their opponent is in range to interrupt them. Admittedly I rarely end up doing that, though, because most players simply do not use their interrupts for some reason. It confuses me, really. Because interrupts are so important and relied upon in WoW, yet so many people seem to forget they exist in SWTOR. edit: I suppose it may be due to the fact that SWTOR interrupts only lock out that particular ability, whilst on WoW they lock out the school, but people should still be using them on attacks such as Tracer Missile, as it is essentially the foundation of the most popular damage spec.
