Had the exact same issue, only difference is that I am using an AMD gpu. No errors, nothing in event viewer, etc.
Installed Win10 on Dec. 9th. A few days later started getting CTD's when starting cutscenes and transitions to new areas. CTD's ocurring anywhere from 15 minutes to one hour of gameplay. Missing dx9c runtimes are installed and I use d3doverrder to help render the game. Not sure if d3d is working with WIn10, but Win10 is such an improvement over Win7 with a 32 bit machine I probably don't require it at all.
Anyways, I tried the following: checked game files w/ settings > repair, system restore, rolled back gpu drivers, removed Catalyst, deleted and reinstalled game, rolled back to original launcher, deleted diskcachearena, retailclient, assets, movies, everything else suggested. Computer case is clean and not overheating, just changed cpu paste a year ago; I also shut down almost every bit of extraneous stuff in Win10 including screenshots/streaming in Win10 xbox client settings. Still crashing out.
Finally I recalled how I had read somewhere that there was a crash fix in the AMD Crimson 15.11 beta so ran the AMD cleanup utility, installed the aforementioned beta driver from the AMD site.
Problem SOLVED! No crashes for the past few hours, I guess it was an AMD driver issue.
TL;DR: If experiencing a CTD with AMD cards and older computers (Win10 e4500 core2duo 32 bit) remove latest AMD 15.12 gpu drivers and install the 15.11 beta drivers, issue resolved.
