I would love for people who call WoW a grind to play Aion.
-
nuh-uh fanboys can't be sarcastic, you're in denial
How dare thee make such claims.
FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU
-
Wasn't 100% sure about that, I left that smoking pile of pvp fotm poo when you still could do full premade vs pug.
You could technically have 2, 5 man premades sign up at once and hope you get into the same BG.
But I guess you could try that in TOR too.
-
You can always quit and go the that multiple other games that allow full premade team vs pugs. Like WoW? And.... umm....
Are you referring to rated BG's? Because those are premade vs. premade...
Normal BG's can only have a 5 man premade.
-
I was going to say, you got quite a few bites with that little lure of yours.
I thought I made it pretty obvious too, oh well.
-
LoL made my day little fanboy.
You are blind or u didnt play it.
People on this forum are really good at picking up on sarcasm.
-
Perfect ???, even i laughed at that.
Was it a giggle, or some evil long-winded laugh?
-
No game is perfect, and star wars IS very buggy.
Still a very good game, but no where near perfect.
I was kidding around the entire time in this thread.
This forum is so serious, lol.

He's a healer that has a DoT clear yet he was complaining DoTs were preventing him from capping objectives?
He's clearly pro...
You're kind of nitpicking at this point. Cure doesn't clear all DoT's, only up to 2 tech/physical effects.
-
No... it certainly isn't.
You sir, have made me visibly upset.
En garde.
-
This game is perfect, and if you don't think so, I'll be pretty upset.

There are ways around not having macros- I personally never used macros, and never will. It's like botting, every kill I get is a kill I stole. Maybe I'm being dramatic but I find it funny that in a super competitive mmo world people want handicaps.
Usually, for PvPers at least, macros are a string of maybe one or two abilities that won't cause a GCD conflict, or just used to take less space on your bars.
For example, having a macro that would stun the person you have targeted when you hit the "E" button, while at the same time, if you press "shift + E" it will stun your focus target.
You have a variety of other useful macros, but it's rarely what people actually believe them to be. Having 10 abilities stringed together to do all the work for you, ect...

I have a Razer Naga... with 12 thumb buttons...I use my 1-4 on the number Row....and 1-9 on the naga...and then i bind other skills with Alt 1-4 and alt 1-9....that 26 buttons to use for skills. 10 11 12 are used for buffs and minor cds
I do roughly the same thing with my naga, it's pretty nice.

He basically says the entire video.
"This isn't 100% like WoW's PvP and I don't know how to think outside of that to get things done so it's the game's fault."
He said he just doesn't find the PvP fun, doesn't mean he was bad at it. It sounded like he understood the mechanics very well, but complaining about the lack of depth. Just one man's opinion.
But yes, he does make too many WoW comparisons.
-
Just hearing the kid talks and watching him make, I know he's bad and/or playing vs bads.
He's actually a pretty good PvPer.
Although he does mainly play a paladin, so I guess "pretty good" is as far as you can go.
-
He's coming from Arena, which even by Blizzard's admission, is the single worst mistake they ever made concerning PvP in WoW.
You still have to be pretty skilled to get passed 2400, which sacredheals has.
-
You are just silly troll , besides your subjective opinion with no proof how about you understand the point of this thread???
Pretty sure everyones opinion on this forum is subjective.
I rarely ever see objective opinions on a game forum, let alone it's PvP section.
-
What I got from this thread:
If you can get a 2600 arena rating in WoW, it means you would get wrecked in TOR because you don't backpedal.
Or something like that.
-
You can act 12 and talk about double entendre or argue semantics all you want to.
I meant exactly what I said. The meanings were clear. Stop trolling.
You used a slang term that made no sense to the context, and I just pointed it out.
No need to try to insult or call troll.
-
No. I meant exactly what I said.
I don't care about training abilities(see what I did there?)
So you guys lined up and attacked each healer one at a time?
That or you had sex with them. I'm not going to judge.
The reason why the term is "train" is because when casters (mainly healers) were getting herped down by 2-3 melee DPS, it literally looked like a train from far away.
-
Sounds like Bright Wizard to me. "Playing with fire is fine, not our fault healers don't know how to purge it" (Bright Wizard argument when they were dot stacking and getting two for one kills with playing with fire)
"AoE damage is fine you just need to learn to move" (Bright Wizard argument when they were running magnet/aoe bomb squads killing entire warbands in a few seconds)
And Pyro. "Circle is fine, we need it because we can't survive outside of it" (Pyro argument as to why circle should keep them CC immune and have its mitigation increase)
Oh god, the horrible memories as a Squig Herder.
-
We had to systematically run a train on each healer
I think what you meant is "we had to systematically train each healer".
Lol.
-
God forbid if the casters in this game had to fakecast and actually turn manually while casting spells.
But I guess that's just melee wanting faceroll.
-
what is their utility?
Well, other than a permanent stealth once in it, can off heal, a vanish + cleanse, an AoE blind, a root, poisons, and stuns...
Nothing.
Btw, I'm not really arguing the classes OPedness, because honestly I don't care. But I play a Scoundrel, the whole "they have no utility" argument is baloney.
Why SWTOR PVP loot system is good
in PvP

If GW2 is insanely successful we might not be seeing PvP stats anymore in new MMO's.
I doubt it, but it's possible.
But yeah, that's a pretty funny way to look at it.
