  1. Kind of a ridiculous thing to be worried about. More than likely it's just a GM whose avatar is a jedi or something.
  2. Every online game, from League of Legends to World of Warcraft to Combat arms and back can, will, and does have major bugs. In League of Legends, it was certain characters who literally couldn't be killed by regular means. In WoW, it was countless bugs, go watch beta footage of Cataclysm. That was their third expansion and they still had some horrific bugs, a few of which likely got into the final product. Combat arms and other such games have always had game shattering bugs. Bugs, and more importantly, bugfixes, are in every game, every genre, especially in a companies first attempt at a genre. Now, does this mean the game is inherently perfect apart from the bugs? No, of course not. Does it mean you should unsubscribe because of mistakes made in the first month of the games release? You never actually did want to invest much time in it if your answer to that was yes. This is Biowares first major MMO. If you thought it was going to be anywhere near as polished as WoW or other MMOs are today, then that's pretty much your own fault. Complain on the forums about bugfixes, about what you think is wrong with the game if that's what you want. Some of it really helps, I'm sure. But saying you're canceling your subscription because the game is buggy or currently unbalanced is pretty silly. To anyone that plays games such as League of Legends, do you remember beta Jax? Or beta Twisted Fate? Or Vaynes original 12% max HP true damage? These things get fixed, and saying that you're not going to wait for them to get fixed makes you a terribly fair-weather player, and I will be glad to see you gone when the game is eventually made better.
  3. In the very last part of the first act, you have two bosses to kill. I'm currently on the final one. I'll avoid saying who, to avoid spoilers, but he is the final major boss. I'm currently unable to beat him. He kills Kaliyo before I can get a single shot off. This isn't because I'm relying on snipe or ambush, though those are both major parts of my current rotation, this is because he cannot be hit from just about anywhere. If you aren't standing directly on top of him, there is nothing you can do. A warning simply shows up saying "Cannot see target." This is frustrating because, as a sniper, I'm supposed to get the first hit in, I'm supposed to be able to shape the battlefield via the use of stuns, snares, and surprise attacks. As a squishy character who isn't mobile, I cannot kite him and use all of my interrupts, so his spells will kill me before the three abilities I can use will kill him. Sending in my companion (I did try it with Vector), only gets that companion killed because until the boss moves, he still can't be targeted. So what ends up happening is I send in my companion first, then have to run up directly onto him to even begin using an attack. It's pretty silly that I can stand three feet behind him and still not be able to "see" him. He's barely at the end of my gun barrel, and I can't shoot him? Is there anyone who can give me tips or anything with how to do this fight as a sniper?
  4. Vector is still better than 2V-R8. But I will say that I was surprised when they gave me, a squishy ranged DPS, a squishy melee DPS. It confused me. And also I died alot.
  5. Did you know that the Republic intentionally violated a treaty on Balmorra by providing weapons, supplies, and troops to prolong a brutal and bloody war?
  6. I play on a RP server. At the fleet at any given time there is ~40 people. Dromund Kaas has had a minimum of 45 for every time I've been on it (currently have 2 characters on Balmorra, 1 on Dromund Kaas, and another on Nar Shaddaa) Balmorra has never been below 20 (I've played at all hours of the day, including up to 3am when I can't sleep) And even Korriban always had a healthy number of people. The guild I'm in is relatively small, about 10 people, who all switched from WoW, every one of them, and are likely not going to go back. They, along with most of the others who are enjoying the game, have little to no idea about how much forum QQ there is about how bad a game is. Probably because they're in-game enjoying what many forum-goers are calling a terrible game. If you find TOR to be so repulsive, go back to whatever game you were playing before instead of constantly point out why other people should hate the game (protip: "BECAUSE I DONT LIKE IT" isn't a good reason for people who aren't you to stop playing)
  7. I don't get it. If you enjoyed the game up to level 50, why try to ruin the entire experience for everyone who isn't 50 yet? Sure, whatever, the game after less than a month isn't as fun at the level cap as WoW is after almost 7 years. Does that mean you have to get mad at the people who haven't gotten to 50 yet who are saying that game is good? Does that mean that it's a **** game? To the people saying that the bugs are one of the main reasons that they're leaving, TOR is an MMO. Big worlds with lots of players, yeah it's gonna be buggy. Do you know what else is buggy? Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. That isn't even multiplayer and it has actual major gamebreaking bugs in certain areas if you're unlucky. Seriously, complaining about a game to a certain extent is a very good thing. Changes can be made that are beneficial to all concerned. Saying it's a bad game because there isn't a huge amount to do when you hit the level cap before the game has been out for a month, however, is sort of crossing the line between constructive criticism and hateful QQ at a full sprint, never looking back.
  8. This also happens with the Revanite quests on Dromund Kaas. If you don't finish them in their entirety, you'll always have the mission.
  9. Thanks alot! I'll be coming back to this guide quite a bit, I imagine, as I start leveling up my professions more. Already it's helped me find the reverse engineering button.
  10. Meh. Coming from games like League of Legends, where champions are released on a two week schedule, I'd say that ill-informed QQ is normal, especially when it comes to PvP. My only hope is that Bioware doesn't listen to the people who aren't regular PvPers. I don't plan on being hardcore into PvP in this game, but I don't want to see unnecessary nerfs anyway.
