  1. im off to tera in may with my guild nothing else to ply till then...
  2. we dont even need to do groups were over geared for everything....
  3. yup, i feel as if when i log in i should feel immersed in a star wars world...when what we actually get is static world, you could be back 20 years ago on pac man and find it more adventurous...i have a real issue with the fact it does not feel star warsy atall. i could be playing any "MMO" if you can call this game 1...just a rehashed star wars skin does not make this game star wars...
  4. i've decided not to log in to day, i cba standing around on fleet for hours, i can just chat to my guild on raidcall.....actually most of us dnt log during week only for lockouts on raids and pvp weekly....
  5. this, i cant get my finger on it, something is lacking...imagine it without the skin, you should feel something star warsy...but you dontor atleast i dont...
  6. i guess..the skin isnt what gets me, its the lack of relation to star wars in terms of feel...dead worlds with nothing on them for one, a bunch of irrelevant tanks during leveling...the raid content has no correlation to star wars whatsoever, the pvp is crap, ilum is...?
  7. no, i just mean the mounts are more like stuff from 5th element, the combat reminds me more of a mixture of other movies, i mean the names of skills do not make this game star wars nor do the classes called "jedi" etc. The lack of relation to anything star wars is unreal and youve obviously just been looking at ur lightsaber s long its afffected your brain and made you believe what your playing is in fact star wars, when the game represents nearly every other SCi Fi movie i can think of bette rthan star wars...
  8. I have a real problem that they can even call this game star wars...what i ask is everyone here to log on for 10 minutes ignore the lightsabers and literally work out what is star warsy about this game. there is no sense of adventure, nothing remotely star warsy i see nothing...literally....
  9. Dear Op in response to your title....no it doesnt...
  10. This game is "moving along" faster than the storm troopers could say it in episode 4, now theres more wrong with this game than right that is why it will at best go F2P in a year or at worst be pulled by mr lucas himself for being so shoddy and terribad... There is nothing to do at end game, rolling an alt to level throught the same quests again with one small chain different...i think not.. the crafting is beyond me? how the hell did that get in the game, it is worthless on almost every level... The "Star Wars" skin....where is it? i dont see star wars, all i see is they got the right to use light sabers? The travel system......way to encourage people to want to explore... The collectibles ad achievments.... I WANT MOUNTS THAT DONT LOOK LIKE CARDBOARD BOXES WITH LIGHTS DRAWN ON. I want achievments that dont come in the form of a 20 minute read for no reason. PS where the hell is the MISC stuff to do. No amount of reused copy paste voice over and worlds is gonna fix this game.... Combat...im sure if we look at a video somewhere on youtube you said "its not heroic to all just be standing around pounding on one boss". if someone could find that video woul be most appreciated. cause im sure thats what this game entails.
  11. well i must say what a response, after working my way through all your posts, it is clear something is wrong with this game on a huge level, it lacks enjoyment, content, and a general MMO feel. The worlds feel dead, and the travel system is beyond me...i just dont get it. Ilum is..what...i dont? how did? PvP is pretty below standard. Basic warzones with gear fests, ( i am in full battlemaster minus 1-2 pieces) its jsut super boring... I also have a real problem that they can even call this game star wars...what i ask is everyone here to log on for 10 minutes ignore the lightsabers and literally work out what is star warsy about this game. there is no sense of adventure, nothing remotely star warsy i see nothing...literally.... i also tryed rolling an alt to find myself logging 1 hour into it, i just couldnt bring myself to roll through the same quests again.... Unfortunaly bioware my guild feels the same as i do, and will likely be Unsubbing around May for other MMO's.... Shame youll lose us but nvm hey im sure were just 40 people in your million or whatever...
  12. i am republic and the imps dont fight my guild simply because we outgear them warzones= shutdown in 120 sec and they dissappear from ilum the moment they see us pop up...
  13. ok so i stood around on fleet today after completing my dailies. i literally spent 6-8 hours doing nothing other than spamming the pvp button. All our OPs content is completed. Ive collected every datacron in the game and literally we have nothing to do. what did you guys do today?
  14. once upon a time in a galxy far far away... i made a pve guild since my server was so low pop and no one else even knew what end game there was... then one day we finally had 8 50's ready to go... we entered the wonderful world of Eternity vault to find... a broken loot system.. massive of boss bugs that made the instance un bearable... a wonderful auto assign system so our great consular can now apparently equip trooper chest pieces... The pylons were our first major encounter...(with bugs i mean) oh dear lord when will i be able to press the button ...swtor says: "NEVER, YOU WILL WIPE FOREVER ON THIS 20 MIN INSANCE BECAUSE OF A BUG...." so we reset we reset again and again and finally managed to get it working...we cleared it with ease and moved onto the great council hooray we thought easy boss...but we were wrong...so wrong. less than 1 min into the fight, it decided it was time to rnadomly reset. we thought oh well lets try again . so we started it once more. and bam reset this time less than 10 secs in... we thought the isse was zen or something of the sort but nope. our sentinel is not stupid enough to press another skill wich is jsut plain stupid for this encounter. so after 3 more tries and an instance reset it died in less than 1 min. hoora on to soa we thought... and omg ...what is this boss. it took us almost 15 tries on hard mode ..why you ask? because we encountered bug after bug after bug. we had lightning balls that wont despawn after being popped, a wonderful amount of resets as platforms were broke, a time where the pyramids failed to even spawn on p3 and where his bubble wouldnt pop after hitting him with one. we had green pools decide to spawn from p1 on p3 we had a dps get mind tripped during the climb down some stairs ad end up being thrown out of instance. we had a mass throw out of the instance where our entire raid was teleported out. we had more and more...until we thought whatever 1 last go ...and low and behold he was deaded. we enter last week to find that soa on hm/nm is now impossible as he decides to lose threat on p3 and wonder off to fight dpsers..even better we got him down on normal by stacking up on myself(tank) and just moving before it drops. either way this is literally the worst encounter ever. i would suggest bioware you delete it start over with a new boss. YOU WILL NEVER FIX HIM.
  15. lol my wonder is if the engine could even handle faster or two person mounts...not to mentiona the amount of loading screens in expansions later on...god what were they thinking....
  16. what i copy pasted above was generally the sound of an MMO to most or atleast large amounts of players. what im saying is irrelevant of the game etc, is the fact that an MMO is described above wether it be wow, tera, swtor or whatever. SWTOR literally meets none of the above as an MMO. I mean nothing. to me its a sub standard rpg with co op and sod all to do at 50. this is not what i call an MMO. the worlds are lifeless and dead. the game is buggier than almost any other MMO i have betad/player ( ive tested and played around 45 mmos since 1997). i can categorically say this is one of the stupidest and worst releases ive played in a while. (for all those wow haters, wow was buggy on release, but no where near the state of swtor, and no where near as un balanced with nothing to do but stand on fleet pressing wz button.) Also many may remember that for the downtimes we were re imbursed in play time for downtimes etc, something bioware has completely ignored.
  17. how much of an MMO swtor really is not... Please ignore the game here..just read ... what an MMO really is... The unique world of TERA is home to many different inhabitants. A combination of seven playable races, each with a different culture and history, and eight playable classes give you freedom to shape your own history, in a way that you choose. Explore an enormous world full of diverse terrain and beautiful landscapes, without loading screens and zone transitions. Explore open-world dungeons and fight roaming bosses. Feast your eyes on cutting-edge graphics never before seen in an MMO. Keep a steady hand and know your arsenal, combat in TERA requires a quick finger and nuance on the battlefield, as most skills have to be aimed and can be dodged. Players in TERA are able to run for election in the groundbreaking political system. Choosing a province or continent, players can make a move to take over the mantle of either a Vanarch, the ruler of a province, or Exarch, the ruler of a continent. Doing so will grant the player prestige, glory and power. The enemies in TERA range from small animals to giant, towering demons and monsters. Fighting those colossal creatures is a completely different experience! Team up with a group of friends to battle other teams in organized battlegrounds. Prizes, glory and conquest awaits the most skilled warriors. Advanced guild system, auction house, mounts, achievements... everything you can expect from a complete social MMO experience! i think bioware missed the point...
  18. im in exactly the same position mate, i run a guild on flames of the crucible, we are farming OP's for literally no reason other than to fill time, we pvp cause once the dailies are done there is nothing.. we stay away from Bug ridden FP's because they are just...well they make u wanna quit, we farm armaments in ilum as there is...no pvp... we have nothing to do and are left to ponder what will come within the next six months. the game is currently a bug fest. there is nothing to do. no misc stuff like collectible mounts, etc no fishing, cooking, nothing...just nothing. the planets are deadzones with static npcs that do nothing... the ops are a joke....clearable in less than 2 hours on hard mode andf nightmare mode for all 10 bosses ( bar soa as he is still broken). P.S. delete soa make a new boss etc, you will NEVER fix him. The engine is a pile of crap as u stated, i mean i dont think it can handle things like 2 person mounts, etc, i wonder how it will even cope with expansions. every patch has caused more issues than they started out with. the game is a loose rpg with co op enabled...
  19. just as an example let me show you what the current travel system looks like... lets say we start on the fleet...and we want to go to belsavis to do our dailies... Fleet>>>loading screen>> hangar>>loading screen>> ship >> galaxy map>> click system>> click planet>> esc twice>> loading screen>> airlock>> loading screen >> orbital station>> planet >>flight path >>daily location. so im no expert but i would say that in any game that is just too long nvm a game that requires alot of travel between planets for dailies/weeklies etc. please bioware heed this call and give us a simpler travel method. it gets boring after the first 50 times....
