  1. Actually, from playing as a Trooper at least, this isn't really the case. Affection and morality are distinct for most non-Jedi companion characters. The first Trooper companion generally believes in doing the right thing, but when confronted with the choice to betray your superior officer to save innocent lives or obey an unjust order, he prefers you obey. He's kinda a cool kid like that. B)
  2. No! We need to hold the line! Decembros and -brettes, do not falter in your laziness. Put it this way: you'd have to go through the trouble of opening the game client if they let you in! We can wait! That's our spirit!
  3. BioWare is good to us. They know we're here because we're masochistic, and like waiting for unknown durations. Until they let us in, seeing how long you can hold out is a fun challenge.
  4. I probably only have 5 minutes left, Decembrethren. I need to tell you something... *COUGH* *COUGH*... ...I always loved you! And I'll see you in game!
  5. WRT the "number" vs "date redeemed" He means they aren't evenly splitting up dates, they're evenly splitting up orders. The invite train moves slowly over vast peaks, but quickly through valleys of the Almighty Pre-Order Histogram (which only BW can see).
  6. If I didn't have to go into work for 4 hours in a few hours I'd get drunk to that yo! Decembretheren forever!
  7. It's only a matter of time, my Decembretheren. Soon, we will have our revenge against the Jedi. Erm, July pre-orders. (I'm actually rolling Rep TR!)
  8. Baby, yeah... just checked and while I thought I was Dec 9th (that's what "My Account" says), I just realized I preordered about midnight, since my confirmation email was dated the 8th! Here's lookin' at you, next wave!
  9. I've been chilling since Tuesday when I finished a final (w00t, now I've completed my Master's!), but tomorrow I've got a seminar and lab meeting to go to, so I can't just veg-out all day T.T Bad timing, especially since I'll be traveling pretty much all weekend. Oh well, after that I'll get some play time in.
  10. At least on Origin, the listed price for SWTOR is $59.99. Then when you preorder, you pay a $5 "pre-order fee" and $54.99 are in line to be charged when the game releases. If you want to cancel your Origin order, EA will refund you the "down payment". In fact, the customer service rep I spoke to OFFERED that, without me asking (I was canceling so I could switch from physical to digital). I'd say that's not being robbed at all, especially since even the YouTube ads for SWTOR say "up to". If GameStop or Best Buy or whatever charged you 5 on top of 60, then they robbed you, that's all there is to it. PS Dec 9th, I'm in tomorrow.
  11. At least I can rest 90% assured that I will be playing tomorrow night (code in the 9th).
  12. Dec 9th here. I'm thinking tomorrow, it should be good. In the meantime, I have an orchid to save... waiting for responses on that front is way harder than waiting on TOR.
  13. You do realize they released that now on purpose, right? Same with WoW scheduling Mists for the near future. Other MMOs (though I would hesitate to call GW an MMO since everything's instanced but towns) are trying to ensure their players aren't switching to the newest high-budget game. That's business.
  14. I'm not trying to pick on the disgruntled players or anything, but what's the issue with being underleveled compared to a small minority of players? Especially if they only have days of advantage over you? Being underleveled means it's harder to find groups and you might get ganked some. But if it's only a small portion of the playerbase that is at high level, then you'll still find plenty of people to group with. And being ganked is part of life on a PvP server... it'll only happen for a couple days, anyway, until you catch up. So what is the issue with being underleveled? I ask because I played WoW for a year or two (starting at launch day) without ever hitting 60... I think I made it to lvl 52 or something in multiple years, in addition to 2 or 3 level 30s. It was still plenty of fun, although I missed out on raiding... but that's because I leveled slowly, not because people got a 7 day head start on me.
