  1. /OH HELL YEAH! I would support this for no other reason that it making sense (not sure how much "force" a force push applies, but when I do it in game the people fly back as if they've been struck by something heavy moving quickly (If there are legit "physics on force pushes" notes out there that say otherwise then I'll stand corrected.)) and being freaking cool.

However, I also think this it is a fun and interesting way to address a needed boost in DPS. Are there some roration quirks that'd need to be worked out/addressed? Sure. But, to me, this is better than simply adding some new strike that does a chunk of damage because it's also improving upon an iconic ability.

  2. First of all, if you're going to start name-calling and insulting the OP for no reason other than you're clearly looking for attention, you can get out right now.

Second, there was no flaw in his post.

The OP wants to have the orange/yellow, evil Sithy eye color (like Anakin on Mustafar) without some of the other, less desirable Dark Side Corruption effects.

His idea is that Bioware could add this option as an addition to the Cartel Market, similar to the White eye color customization pack.

Nothing wrong with that, and I happen to agree with him. Some of the corruption effects I like, others I don't. More customization is always a good thing.

/Signed. While I may not always have use for any particular customization option, I don't feel that options are ever a bad thing. Heck, I quite like the white eyes. One of the characters I'm leveling now is a LS Sith Jugg (already did a DS one, enjoyed the story, and decided to see the other side) and I like how those eyes reflect her "inner good" whilst still trying to maintain the outside appearance of any other Sith.

I would be truly shocked if more eye color options, as well as possibly other physical feature changes, were not added to the CM in the future.

  3. Yep, I've always loved the Imperial troopers arresting some poor guy for some minor violation and sentencing him to several years of slavery (pretty sure he's an alien).

I believe it's on Dromund Kaas city, or in the spaceport.

There are a lot of good small "events" that help set the mood for the planets, a lot of NPCs engaged in their little conversations (or sometimes just conveyed by their poses; which I assume is the case with this Wookie).

I like the one on Imperial Tatooine where the solder is talking to the Commander/General about going over his water rations "but quite a lot, actually" and the Commander/General responds about needing his baths.

To me, that interaction sums up the general Imperial attitude and gives me a chuckle!

There has always been one wookie wandering about the republic fleet ever since it opened it's doors. He never said a word. Just walking or standing still, staring into the vast space outside the station. I wonder what his story is...

I have actually wondered the same thing myself. I bet it is a good one. :rak_03:

  4. I don't have screenshots right now, but I'll get one tonight and post it here.

Also, will note that I decided to actually purchase coins to buy it rather than wait until today for my monthly grant, which if I had waited I wouldn't have it, since it's gone. However, I went into collections to try to unlock it globally today when my coins posted, and it's not possible. It's unlocked in that my sorcerer that actually bought it can get copies just fine, but when I go to another character and click the cartel coin, nothing happens.

That seems to lend more proof to the idea that it was accidently released to us on Harbinger. I think it is pretty safe to assume that it will be released again, to all servers, and that you should then be able to purchase access for your other characters.

  5. I have read threads in the past, on the Customer Service Forum, that have asked a similar question. The answer from CS that I usualy see is that, while they try to have them to you on the same day each month, that it can take up to three days from your subscription date for the coins to be granted.

If it were me, and I did not get my coins on the third day, I'd post in the Customer Service forums and they can usually check into that. If it's a weekend, I'm pretty sure the staff is reduced, you might want to file a ticket in game.

  6. I think someone mentioned earlier on that it was not available on their server, which got me to thinking. I know that Harbinger was having some issues, that were then "resolved", and I am wondering if popping that baton in was accidential and that's why it was removed without anything being mentioned.

I was able to pick one up, and equip it, but I am currently at the office and, having not logged in since then, I cannot confirm/deny that it's still with me.

Can anyone else on Harbinger that purchased one confirm that they still have it?

  7. No...I didn't realize you could send a friend invite to offline people.

You aren't required to "invite" them as a friend as far as I know. I've simply added people to my friend's list in the past and I have never once been asked if I wanted to allow someone to friend me. Of course, the latter part might be due to people just not liking me...:sul_frown:

  8. Let me check real quick... brb.

Update: does not appear so... using Preview. The crystal color will probably only appear as part of style animations (kind of like how it does for the Eliminators and the Gladiators weapons). I'll check again on an actual character later.

No need. You've done more than enough for me. I will just have to hope that this isn't a fluke and that I have the chance to snatch one up when I get home. Thank you very much Andryah.

  9. But thank you very much for the heads up. Do you think this counts as an emergency for me to leave work??

I would vote yes. However, I am not your employer and cannot promise they will feel the same. I know for a fact that my boss would have me flogged for trying that excuse. hahaha:eek::D

  10. It's a nice baton. Sheaths to your waist like the Gam Axe. Looks great on dual wield and a nice change from the other choices in game.. though I really do like the Cathar sword.

    Standard weapon price too. 400CC

Does anything on the baton change based on the color of crystal equipped? For example, the Cathar double-sword has the crystal visable in the center and, when swung, I believe there's a faint trailing of the crystal color. Sorry to impose, I'm just curious, and thank you in advance for any additional info. :)

  11. Harbinger has them on the CM right now.. this moment. We have B/B and W/W dyes too. Sick hamsters are behind it all I think.

And I am stuck at the office for at least another hour with an hour commute after that. Damn portfolio analysis and property valuation statistics! I want that damn baton!

  12. Me neither.

Servers go belly up from time to time. Harbinger has actually been behaving itself for a while now. So I can't get too worked up about it. They don't guarantee 7/24 uptime for the game.. no MMO does.

If the hamsters died and their corpses released toxic gas, contaminated the server farm, and caused a massive outage for the next several days.. then I'm for a general protest. But this is a wait and see...not a shoot first and ask questions later. :)

Sorry, but this is what popped into my head when reading the bolded part:

    http://www.liveforfilms.com/2011/10/01/be-like-han/

  13. Will be VERY easy for them to mail all the players with a consumable buff, increasing XP by X% for X time. It's your choic to use or not, everybody will be happy.

They nerfed A LOT the XP reward, so the double XP is almost we had when the game launched.

I support this idea. With this those of you that love the double-xp can use the buff, during the allotted time, and people like me can just ignore it. Everyone wins!

  14. You have your way of enjoying the game, others have theirs. Double XP weekends ruin the way I have fun in this game, as it does for many others. You don't like the planetary quests, I find them enjoyable - on every character I play. I find joy in making different selections regardless of whether those choices impacts the outcome or not. I do not enjoy skipping content no matter how many times I may have done it previously nor do I enjoy being so overleveled for said content that it makes the already "incredibly easy" game even more brain dead easier.

This is exactly how I feel. I would love for BW to give players as many double xp weekends as they want. However, I would simply like the ability to turn off that buff. Again, I love how much more populated areas are during times of double xp, but I out level planets as it is. I enjoy questing, on all of my characters, and doing "the same quests" is just fine for me due to the different options different classes make available.

Long story short: I would support double xp every weekend if only I could click it off like I can my class buffs. Hell, I'm even fine with having to click it off each time I log in even if it's on a character I've already clicked it off on.

  15. I'd be just fine with them offering double exp every weekend IF they made it some sort of buff I could turn off. Heck, I'd even be fine if the buff turned back on if I logged out and back in. I level too quickly as it is and really dont have any alts I want to power through content.

By all means I support double exp weekends; I just wish I could toggle the buff off...

  16. Problem with this is the table should be tradable as a CM random item. If you put it on the rep vendor.. you would have to make it non-tradable or you destroy the rare nature of it in the game economy. But if you make it non-tradable.. then you destroy the tradable nature of CM pack items.

And you can't make it make it limited sale to a player.. because that arbitrarily assumes how many he/she would have gotten from however many packs he opened. That would shaft "Lucky Larry" and "Lucky Lucy".

I guess they could lotto them out (via email) to pack openers (since they would know who opened a pack)... but the community would always claim it was rigged. The forums would be crushed with "Where's meh email with a med table Bioware!!? I know I should have won one!!"

Screw you AND your damn logic! :p

Seriously though, your reasoning makes sense and I think your suggestion is pretty spot on. Look for your cookie in the mail.

  17. someone mentioned that adding it as a low rep item with the new cartel rep would be a really nice solution since most people who bought packs trying to get it will undoubtedly have the rep for it

Quite a good idea, actually. However, I am sure there is someone who can come along and tell us why this is unfair...

  18. No it doesn't...

Continuing to sub simply means that right here and now we are content with the game as is, it means we can appreciate the flaws and problems that need addressing without resorting to the hyperbole and hate that your post is riddled with.

Even with all of the problems this game has, just like all other MMORPGs.....the £8.99 I pay per month represents what is easily the best value for money entertainment spend I make in any given month of the year....THAT is why I sub.

    Driz

Well said and I totally agree. Additionally, I sub and play because I'm having fun. :D

  19. Yeah.. same thing here. I bet dulfy bought them all up. :p

Btw.. you are now stuck with your credit card info in their system. But there is an easy work around to remove it. Just log into xboxlive and you can delete credit card info there.. then if you recheck the MS store.. you can see that it's gone. :) Personally, I don't like leaving credit card info laying around.. so I deleted it and this is the method I used to get past the stores locks on deleted an credit card.

Thank you kindly for the tip and I bet you're right about Dulfy. hehehe I'm going to, foolishly, hope that they will come back in stock tomorrow or something. If not, I'll use your tip because I also hate leaving that info just sitting around with a company I'll probably never buy anything from. Cheers!

  20. They weren't sold out when I started, but before I finished typing in all the info, it wouldn't let me purchase.

Same here. I tried to grab a random large number, just to see the price, and it said that only 10 were left. I changed my number to 10 and when I tried to complete the purchase: We are experiencing technical difficulties. Please contact customer service for assistance.

I'm guessing that those "technical difficulties" were simply that I was trying to complete a purchase with items that were no longer available. :( Here's hoping they restock.

  21. PS. How do we get the tauntauns? Please tell me we don't have to do hard modes and raiding -_-

It seems to me, from the patch notes, that we will just buy them:

"•New Feature: Tauntaun Creature Mounts! Head to Hoth, where players will find the Tauntaun Trainer and Tauntaun Handlers in Aurek and Dorn Bases. "
