  1. I was just curious if anybody else has been having issues with absolutely MASSIVE latency (5k-100k) in Alderaan Civil War warzones. I'm in the mid bracket on this character and have experienced it on multiple occasions in the last 24 hours. This is the only warzone in which I have the issue, and it's frustrating because as a healer, high latency and lagouts lose the game or remove me from the game each time. I play on an incredibly stable connection and haven't had this problem before this past couple days.

My friend had the same issue in a game last night, although he never actually disconnected. We were still chatting on Skype and I was able to tell him who to target, when to heal, and when to AOE the node. He couldn't see anything that was happening, but he managed to stay connected. Is it overall server latency/instability or is it just within Civil War specifically?

  2. What makes any of these morons think that level 10's with 1300 health (being generous) playing against people with 2500 health/more skills will make things better.

    Screw brackets.

Also, try to do the same without playing a Sage/Commando or their empire equivalents. Your 200k damage in the first screenshot would be 150k on a different advanced class.

  3. Yeah, I do excellent when I have a tank protecting me, but any sentinel can force charge/interrupt my heal and kill me within the interrupt if my tactical advantage isn't proccing. In a fight against a sage/sorcerer, they can out-dps my healing without any issues. Believe it or not, assassins/shadow don't bother me right now--I can usually hold my own.
  4. I'm just curious if any other operative healers are having trouble getting off a heal in a warzone. I feel like I'm trying to eat a bowl of rice with chopsticks...

I just played a Voidstar where my team zerged one side and failed to kill their team and assault. Naturally, I got jumped by 3 Sentinels and 3 Sages as a Medicine operative. I didn't even get stunned--they just interrupted my Kolto Injection and I died. I feel like without tactical advantage, I've only got one decent heal. A 4-second interrupt on that 2-second heal kills me. Every. Single. Time.

I'm sure there is *some* sort of heal I get at a higher level that is reliable, but I must ask...Am I supposed to feel useless while healing at level 31? Kolto probe and Diagnostic Scan heal for crap, Kolto injection is great but always gets interrupted, and I can't use Kolto infusion/Surgical probe without my RNG tactical advantage. I'm not expecting to live against 4 republic at once without some serious peels, but even a 1v1 against a Sorcerer/Sage or a Warrior/Knight is damn near impossible to survive for more than 30 seconds.

    Help?

  5. As an Operative - Medic I kick butt.

From level 13 when I entered my first Warzone through 21 so far I am rocking the healing charts (Always #1 by tens of thousands of healing points), and I do pretty decently on damage as well. I can evenly 1v1 many classes up to ~10 levels above mine and while I don't always win it's a fair fight. Healing does make me a big shiny target for the other side, but hey- such is the price of success. :p

I must be doing it wrong then...I usually lose in 1v1 fights against any character that knows how to use their interrupt. Furthermore, I'm usually tens of thousands of healing points less than any Sorcerer in the game (some of that might be because my friend and I usually contribute 3+ points to our Huttball game).

I feel extremely weak right now with no decent mobile healing, bukkake probe being the only mobile heal I currently have...perhaps it will get better as I level though.

Despite these flaws in the class/my playstyle (whichever it may be), I am really enjoying PvP. I am in love with Alderaan, and also enjoy Huttball when my team knows how to use the pass button!

  6. Let's assume you are playing for the Rotworms (purple team). When purple arrows show up on the minimap, it means that YOUR TEAM (Rotworms, purple team) has the ball and should follow the arrows to score by entering the Enemy endzone. You'll also notice that yellow arrows show up when the Frogdogs (yellow team) have the ball.

You can pass through the endzone and score.

Your throw ball option, as previously stated, is a target that you set on the ground. You hit the button (some people click), then click the area on the ground that you want to throw the ball. If you have a teammate standing in that zone, he should catch the ball. If an enemy is in that zone, it can be intercepted. I assume if both are in the zone, the ball goes to whichever character is closest to the center of the circle on the ground.

I hope this clears a few things up!

  7. And you just probably suck at your skills dying that fast .

Probably. I should just quit this game now, shouldn't I? Time to uninstall my client.

  8. Oh, sorry. My eyes have gotten used to skipping over caps-lock areas. My mistake.

Even worse though...any decent trooper can gun me down in under 10 seconds if I don't have my trinket available.

  9. OP has at least some validity. While I think the PvP is great, and that Bioware has done an excellent job with it in most aspects, I find my healing to feel rather futile in warzones.

I usually come out of a game of Huttball with like 5 medals. On an amazing game with a few friends, I can bust out 7. Out of the blue though, I have a game where I only get 2 medals because I defended, passed, or otherwise tried to accomplish an objective.

Other than the "Get a heal of 2.5k+", I can't honestly think of another healing-related medal without looking it up.

  10. Definatly leaching is whats going to be needed.

All the games of warzone i played tonight had at least 2 lvl 40 players in them and on game day just wait and see which ones are topping the max chart and which ones arent.

Its really not that hard to see what classes are not balanced correctly and just makes me sick that usally the fanboys are out in force to say, NAA everythings the way it should be. Just learn to play better.

Typical answer from someone who probably plays the OP class in the first place.

    OP probably plays an Inquisitor/Consular.

From a MEDICINE-specced IMPERIAL AGENT, PvP is fine...

  11. Do you want to know what shouldn't be allowed? Posting in the forums without passing a 6th grade English course shouldn't be allowed...

As the above poster said, nobody cares about your rant. Besides the obvious server imbalances and prevalence of Huttball matches in which teammates don't notice the "throw ball" option, this game has the best PvP I've seen in ages. Stuns can get crazy--that's what a pocket healer is for.

*********gery begets *********gery. Don't come into the forums to QQ and then expect a massive cult following. Furthermore, don't be an *** to those who comment on your posts while respectfully disagreeing. Good day, sir.

Edit: Filters make me sadpanda. And here I thought "bag of d"-ery begets "bag of d"-ery was clever...
