  2. Although, I might trade the two points in lethality for experimental explosives. +4% crit chance for all abilities VS. +30% crit dmg for all explosive abilities. If you consider how often I'll be using fragmentation grenade, with its high burst damage and low cooldown time, experimental explosives would benefit me more, I think.

  4. w8, so eng benefits AoE, but MM benefits orbital strike? How does that work? My playstyle, as it stands with a level 10 sniper: - open with frag grenade - jump into cover - snipe until frag grenade finishes cooling down. Mobility really doesn't interest me. I prefer burst to sustained. I prefer turret type gameplay. I want to do high single-target DPS, though I'll understand if eng does slightly less than MM. I mainly do PvE. Any viable hybrid MM/eng specs?
  5. What's the best AoE spec? I'm kinda of confused by this class, since it's entirely devoted to DPS. What are the differences in playstyles between the three trees?

  9. Want to make a new class, but I don't know which of the two to pick. - Which one has the better story? - Which has the more interesting companions? - Which one is just plain more fun to play? I already know what I want my playstyle to look like, very AoE-focused.

  11. My gunnery commando seems like a beast in PvE.
  12. Isn't GR/TM broken? Not OPed? Last time I checked it was bugged so that the first shot hits like a 5x stacked shot. This means that it does max damage every shot, instead of gradually building up the more you use it.

  15. Ya' i've heard good things about their stories. However, after researching their playstyles, they seem to really suck AoE-wise, and the only ranged attack(past 10m) they have is force leap. I think I might just reroll my SI and roll a sorc this time. I'll probably level up a Jk/SW gradually but they seem pretty limited range and AoE-wise. My sin is only level 31, so the story could possibly get better. I hear it has some nice twists. Sucks that I can't just switch my adv. class.
  16. I started a knight, but it's only level 1. I hope the knight has some good AoE abilities. I think I prefer long-range characters, but my commando already fills that spot so it wouldn't make much sense to make another trooper or BH. I'll research the knight's playstyle. I like my turret gunnery commando because it usually take 5 seconds to kill a mob, literally. Mortar volley > Plasma grenade > Sticky grenade That rotation kills most mobs insanely fast. I'll finish off any stragglers with grav round. Most times I don't even need to use mortar volley. It's overkill by that point. That's the type of gameplay I like.
  17. I like being an immobile missile spamming platform. That's why I like my gunnery commando so much.
  18. I only do PVE at the current moment. I'm not so much interest in tanking, I just want less squishy-ness. Can anyone confirm the sorc's OP-ness? I don't want to make a BH since I already have a commando. Also, SI have some of ugliest endgame armor. Also a negative.
  19. Any suggestions? So I got to level 31 with my Sin, reached the act 1 boss and was defeated several times. I decided to make a new class to save myself the stress, so I made a commando and leveled up to 24. I love the commando class. Insane DPS, not too squishy, loads of AoE abilities. The EXACT opposite of the assassin. However, I promised myself I wanted one gun class and one force class. So my gripes with the Sin/SI are: - boring story - too squishy - not enough AoE And I love the commando because it's the exact opposite. That in mind, what class(preferably force-using) do you guys recommend? While I find the SI story boring, is the sorcerer any better on other counts? I would imagine the sorcerer is even more squishy, if that's possible, but has more AoE. What do knights/warriors play like?
  20. IMO, no. Very little tension. It was basically an 'Uncharted' story except in uncharted people actually gave a ****. In this game people were like, "oh, you're looking for this really powerful sith artifact? That's nice, can you go fetch me 10 roasted bunnies?" Only got to level 31 however.
  21. Question: What's with people's obsession with FA? I'm level 24 and I haven't found a single use for it. Also, what does CoF mean?
  22. Depends on which tree you're focusing on. AP for gunnery. Plasma for assault.
  23. - My damage registers in the thousands on my character sheet even though it's only in the hundreds. For instance, say I do 150-200 damage, it will show as 1500-2000 on my character sheet. - Can't hide companion helmets. - Can't equip some heavy armor pieces on elara. - Healing capabilities not recorded on character sheet besides bonus healing and healing power bonus.
