  1. If you dont have a 50 yet your either a RPer,dont have time to play, doesnt take the game seriously, etc. Getting to 50 isnt that hard it only takes a week of playing time to get to 50 so stop your complaints and play the game!

and exactly how does having a level 50 make you "more valuable" or "more loyal"? serously...people like you are really missing the boat.

  2. As a person that bought the collector's edition on day 1, and a 6 month sub on day 1, played the beta, been a "loyal", paying customer since day one of early access.

    I feel slighted...

Reasons for not having a level 50 are irrelevent, it has nothing to do with $15.00. It is about the principle of what they did. They are telling me that my money is worth less to them than someone else's, based solely on a statistic that has nothing to do with "loyalty" (the level of my characters).

Sure it was not expected, no they didn't have to do it...however, they did chose to, and marketed it under the label of "reward for our loyal, and valued customers" then slapped the face of every paying customer that didn't have a level 50 character regardless of the reason.

  4. Poor Bioware. When they do something bad they get **** on. When they do something good they get **** on. It's no win.

no...they are being **** on for doing something ******. If you can't see that, as plain as it is, then I don't know what to tell you.

It isn't about the "$15", it isn't about how long it takes to get to level 50. it's the principle of the way they are treating their "loyal customers" telling one group the are more valuable than another based on a character level (a thing that should be irrelivent). rather than something more substantial, like how long they have subscribed to the game, how long they have been paying BioWare's saleries, the fact that they have not cancelled their accounts, and are just waiting for time to elapse. you know something that actually measures "LOYALTY".

I have made 2 private and polite requests to have these concerns answered and be addressed, if BioWare can't be bothered to demonstarte that we are all equally valuable based on us contributing equally to their bottom line, if bioWare so choses to tell me, that my money is less valuable to them then yours because I don't have a level 50 character yet, then I feel completely justified by living up their expectations and ceasing doing business with them, as they clearly do not appreciate me as a loyal customer, or at least think less of my contribution to their company, based on a statistic that does not matter.

So keep singing blind praise to them if you want...me...I say put your money where your mouth is...that's what they want us to do.

  5. Because everyone should bow down and kiss Bioware's backside for giving us all, the distict privilege of drumming up business for a company that wants to do nothing more than gain customers and make money...there's nothing wrong with that...that's what businesses do, but come on now...don't make it sound like they are doing us some great service by "allowing us" to go do their marketing job for them.

    You people really are brainwashed!

  6. And if they added these realisms to the game, people would be pissing and whining that the game was too hard.

imagine how butt hurt people would be if you attacked one lone sentry and every mob that had LOS jumped in to help him out.

Some things just need to be conceded to make a game playable and fun to play.

  7. What I'm trying to say is, You're buying a brand new game (SWTOR in this case). You cant expect this brand new game to have all the features a much older game would have currently. You need patience in order to enjoy the game, which it seems a lot of you don't have. I guarantee you a good 92% or so of the features you players keep moaning about will be added to SWTOR within the following months. So please be patient and enjoy! :)

This is all great and good if you are talking about the game purely from a "quantity of content" point of view...When you are dealing with quality and features, it's an entirely different ballgame.

taking your car analogy here... Cars didn't always have seatbelts, but will you find cars now that are made without them? antilock breaks? AC or a heater? Power steering?

These things aren't required to make a car work, but they are all still included in all car designs nowadays why? Because it makes the product better, as such new cars are designed with these things included...would you buy a car that you had to go back to the factory in 3 months to have your seatbelt installed, then come back in another 6 months for your AC...etc...

You could take the same perspective on MMO game design. There are certain features that a game should be designed to include from the ground up based on this game's predecesors that have set standards for the industry and for the gamers...many of these features are consistantly brought up on these forums daily.(I purposly am not making a laundry list to avoid that whole debate). These are the things that should have been included in the original draft of the game...not be patched together later.

New content will come...of that I have no doubts. Just because previous games didn't launch with XYZ feature that gamers have come to appreciate and depend on, doesn't mean that new games shouldn't include those desired features coming out of the gate.

  8. I'd even go a step further...I don't think there should be any auto-flagging areas on a PvE server.

I really don't care if a PvPer gets butthurt over not having anyone to open world PvP with on a PvE server...there is a simple soloution to that problem, and strangely enough, it's the same damn soloution that PvPers like to throw in everyones face. "don't roll on a PvE server. That is what the PvP servers are for...go play there if you just gotta have your PvP fun.

I don't want to see PvP neglected, or gotten rid of, or not have it made into the best possible system it can be. Exactly the opposite, I hope it is everything that people come to expect from a good PvP system with lots of options and varieties.

I just, very simply feel there should be absoloutly ZERO non-concentual PvP on a PvE server. There is no forced raiding on a PvP server, no forced flashpoints...etc.

  9. 1) make some friends.

    2) make some friends.

    3) make some friends.

When you go to do your heroics, ask your friends to join you...when I need to do heroics, my friends will come along to help out...even if they have already done them...because...well...they're friends.

  10. Maybe you are being punished by the MMORPG gods for being part of a greater movement that by castrating PvP, among other things, has very nearly succeeded in completely removing the "MM" from MMORPG. I'm all for it, personally.

Maybe you should just roll on a PVP server if it means so much to you :rod_tongue_g: or is it that you can't compete with real PVPers? Why does it always seem to be the default setting of PVP player that everyone should be forced to endure their playstyle?

There is a reason to have PVP and PVE servers and people should not be ever forced to endure the other playstyle, unless it is their choice to do so.

Making someone PvP that doesn't want to is griefing...no matter how you slice the apple...and if you think the MM part of MMORPG is somehow synonymous with "PVP", then I have no soloution for this ignorance.

  11. If you see flagged players you should be paying attention and acting appropriately. I see no issue with this. If you start casting AoE's with them around, you're making a bad decision. They're hanging around flagged because they want PvP. If you don't, then don't hit them. Simple. I'm sorry but it's PvP and he's free to flag if he wants to, just as you're free to pay attention to what the heck you're doing and smartly avoid him.

Sorry, but you logic is just plain ignorant. There are people that join PVE servers becaus they have absoloutly NO INTEREST in playing PVP...they rolled on a server that is supposed to cater to their desired playstyle. They aren't rolling on a PVP server and ************ about the ruleset, they rolled on a server where they should not be forced into scenarios, tricked into scenarios, accidently stumble into scenarios that go against their desired playstyle, they did after all join a server that is supposed to support what they were looking for when the joined. All these PvP junkies should just go join PVP servers if they want it so damn bad!
