  1. As the subject states, what is the best dps rotation for PVE for 4.0?? Any links to guides for 4.0 Deception Assassins would be good too!
  2. I like steady attacks, and good crits...not really the DoT type of player, but I have played that before. We just like getting through mobs, we like the story. Currently I am playing a Deception, but I dont think I have a good rotation down and I need more strategy around taking on some of the newer bosses (not Tactical or Nightmare level).
  3. Ok, just came back after a long exit due to work (I believe 2.3 was my last playing). So what I am looking for is some help with 4.0. A little about me, I only do PvE, and I have a full set of 186 gear. Im looking for in 4.0 what is better, Deception or Hatred for DPS. I have the new expansion and just a couple more levels to get to 60. I mostly play solo (70%) and sometimes one of my friends (PT Bounty Hunter) when he is on. Any help and advice (talents, rotations, stats (I know Accuracy from reading this thread is a must) is appreciated. I tried getting through all of this, but it didnt really tell me which of the two specs was more viable for my play style.
  4. Ok, I haven't been playing in awhile, and I just came back to check on 2.0...so is there any new builds for the 2.0 patch? Or what is the latest Tank spec that I should be following...I have a good group, I just need to know what I should be looking at doing to protect them. Thanks in advance!!!
  5. Ok, I was playing as our group's (PvE 90%) tank, using the Iron Fist build (I do some side PvP) and I am only level 48. We do well as a group (sniper, operative, and Sorcerer (healer)). I still have some issues with the 46+ level Heroics and FP (mostly on Multiple Elites, Champion/Bosses) in holding the aggro. I was thinking of going more to a 31pt Shield spec, are there any recommended builds and rotations post 1.2? I do need to do some dmg to help out, but primary role is as tank, for this group at this level of play. Thanks!!
  6. Thanks, I do understand where you are coming from, and do I hate doing the Mario Bros thing, you bet! Do I think it is optional, yep! But I do find it frustrating to put something this difficult is a real pain in the butt! I'm not having the issue, as I said it was a couple of good friends, and my wife. If I cant do it after 4-5 tries I just skip them and move on, I can always come back to them later.
  7. Are others finding that getting to some of the datacrons frustrating and in some cases almost impossible? I dont think they should be this difficult. If I wanted to play "Mario Brothers" I would get my Nintendo out. There is one thing with making it a challenge, but another when they are darn near ridiculous and frustrating. I have had 2 people in my guild that have said they want to quit at how much time (30-40 min tonight just to get up ledges and pipes in Nar Shaddaa) it takes to do these. Is there anyway to make them challenging, but not a gauntlet to get to? Regards
  8. Hmm, maybe then I use the first two levels of Shield (the 9% Aim and Rebraced Armor I see as a must), and then work on Pyro, then go back to Shield. That gives me my defense, plus allowing me DPS for PvE and PvP.
  9. Thanks....maybe I will play around with the respec to get what I need to fit...I like having the base level of Shield, so maybe keeping that. What I did forget to mention is that we occasionally (well the healer (my wife) and I) do some PvP, so I need the DPS in addition to some survivability, and put the rest in Pyro. Thanks again...if others do have suggestions, I would appreciate them.
  10. Small question that I hope it fits here more than any where else. I am the main tank of a very small guild (5-7 members), I am currently level 26 so early still in my progress, we are all leveling together. I am currently using the Tank/Pyro build (http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#301RMurd0roZ0MZfhbrzh.1) but my question is should I go all the way up in the tank tree before switching over to the Pyro? Or is there a time period that would help me. I find that there are cases where the DPS (Operative and Assassin) over aggro me that it takes some getting my taunting back on me. Is there a "level by level" guide as to when we should be allocating skill points? I was putting my points in to Shield until level 23 then started putting points into pyro. Thanks in advance!
  11. Yeah I am 31/32 only one I am missing is the Hutt Cartel. I have been all over Nem'ro and Fathra's palaces....any idea where this could be at that I could have missed it??
