    This is nonsensical, because my machine grossly exceeds the "recommended" system specifications for SWTOR. The fact that I get 25 FPS on "very low," and someone with a radically different yet equally powerful machine has the same problem, indicates a software issue with the game.

    I think it'd be pretty cool. The Iridorians were a fascinating concept never much played with in the original KotOR.

     

    Agreed and they played a signifigant role in KotOR2 by Bao-Dur I'm sure you're aware. In fact, for a stereotyped 'bloodthirsty' race in combat, Bao-dur was surprisingly calm in his demeanor even though he did mention he still held leftover anger bottled up inside from the mandalorian war.

     

    BUT quite frankly I'm NOT agreeing with the subject at hand because the Iridonian armor vastly reminds me of the horrid swimsuit from KotOR1, here is a picture for clear reference: http://cdn3.whatculture.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/Kotor.jpg And we all know how slow that was to walk in as well.

    Endar Spire quest - ***??

    I know it's an old thread, but I was particularly confused about the whole Endar Spire business myself as I'm on the quest right now, but I think when it all comes down to it, sure, the Endar Spire was obliterated in Kotor (we even see that there is nothing left of it after it's destroyed), but we are playing in a universe where the Gods have altered reality to where Greedo gets a shot in, Yoda transforms into cgi earlier than planned, Vader is no longer allowed to remain silent when saving Luke, not to mention the change of appearance of Anakin's force ghost, so it's really not a problem.

     

     

    Completely agree, it's totally weird, but it's nice seeing the Endar Spire again even though it makes the retcon and whole KotOR story even more unbelievable, my only plausible suggestion is that Revan dreamed the Endar Spire's complete explosion while he was out, also dreaming about Bastila attacking Revan. More plausible than an firery ball of explosion in orbit leaving whole sections of the a ship intact, which as we know usually doesn't happen.

    I just imagine the OP going on sabbatical to Nepal, scaling the mountains in search of the Buddhist priests to gaint enlightenment, and he finally makes it in, welcomed to the temple, brought before the head priest, waiting nervously, when he realizes the reason the priest is making him wait is he trying to beat the latest level of some game on the latest game boy.

    As much as I would enjoy a follow up on the KotOR series, I would rather have a KotOR-esque game, but not a carbon copy with the same HUD, in a different timeline.I'm having after RotJ in my mind as that timeline is ripe for a new SW RPG. Remember Canderous' tale of Yuuzhang Vong in KotOR? Well, Vong or not by the time of the first new jedi academy would also be good.

     

    Think about it. It might break the mold exactly like KotOR did. Big game businesses don't deal in mights but it's just my opinion.

    The fact hero engine was a blunder has been evident for literary years now. Even before the launch there were murmurs at GDCs, the game also saw an effective pushback of it's launch and an all hands on deck cannibalization o the mythic team. If there were every any doubts about problems they were dispelled with launch. Even after a year of patching it's still barely passable making world pvp a non starter. Christ we cant have chat bubbles and more than 25 quest logs due to the code not being able to handle it. In 2013. A joke.

     

    I know its a fools hope but if BW isn't working on a 64bit client that's basically a rewrite from the ground up to sort the mess out then I'm having a hard time being overly optimistic about the long term future.

     

    Ya do we really need more coverage of the incompetence that is hero engine and its purchase (and turning kotor to scrap)

    They have been saying there is a SSSP (Super Secret Space Project) in the works. I think this is either Free Roam 3D space flight with combat pvp or BioWare is packing up its office and flying to the moon.

    Statement: I am in favor of a JTL it might make me sub again because I really do like star wars but I hate nickel and diming. I have to weigh them on a scale and right now one out weighs the other just a little bit too much, what with the noose that even the barber shop will cost real currency
