  1. Legacy what there is of it currently seems to work that way. I created 5 characters with the names I normally used. When I unlocked legacy and logged in one of the others I had made on the 13th... it displayed the legacy name just fine and was getting legacy experience.
  2. Don't feel bad... I pre-ordered the CE direct from Origin on July 21st within moments of the pre-order link going live. My order has been processing since the 13th... todays sunday the 18th its still processing. Contacting Origin CS gets you someone who is at least slightly english impaired (not a big deal but my galactic translator fails now and then) and they tell you that your order is processing. Which is no big deal except for having a post somewhere saying those Origin orders would all be shipped the 16th.. so when it doesn't happen you start to enter panic mode. I know its not exactly related but... *.*
  3. Well I hit level 40 yesterday and honestly.. I've been doing a lot of other things. I worked on some other classes. I'm crafting on my main and alts.. which involves of course spending time gathering. I've actually gone outside a few of these days and twice even went to bed pretty early. I spent hours getting myself off Taris... I can't game like I used to (stay up days straight). I have fun.. tho I do find empty planets rather haunting. There have been plenty of fast leveling MMO's and I'd see a lot of other people. To me that is far stranger than the fact anyone hit 50 in 4 days or less. I was in general beta since March so if I level faster than someone... its because I know the most effecient order to do quests. Things someone wouldn't know their first time through. The only thing I've "skipped" was half of Taris and that wasn't because I wanted to. It was due to the performance issue there. My armormech is currently 370 and gaining and I have cybertech almost as high. Also working on Artifice and Armstech but they are a bit lower. So the fact I can do all these things which takes time and I'm now almost 42... I'm certainly not suprised someone who spent no time on alts or crafting is 50... Grind games or slow level games happen by design. This game we are playing TOR... was designed with a "golden path" and level ranges for each planet. There was a lot of discussion during beta about level speed. The design was pretty much done on that aspect by the time beta started (for reference my first play test was in October of 2010). So I can say "Hi BioWare I think we level to fast..." but in the design they decided to go with.. what could they do? Well obviously they could cut xp but you have to be X level when you leave the planet. So they would then have to about double the quest content.. and since everything has voice acting guess what? Leave testers out of these accusations or consipiracy theories... bioware didn't ask us about designing the game. They asked us to find bugs in the game they designed... in fact quite a few changes were made against tester feedback... point is.. BioWare is the one to priase or be mad at not the testers.
  4. +Power is one of the best stat increases in my opinion. It works for every class in the game. It increases the damage of all attacks and healing.
  5. I guess that confuses me because no pre-orders through Origin were fully billed. The "full charge" was put through as a pending and then would drop off except for the $5 or $20 depending on version ordered... Which is why I was asking if the rest had been processed. When I ordered my CE through Origin back in July the entire amount was showing as a pending charge. Only the $20 associated with the CE pre-order actually was billed. Personally my order has been "in process" since the 13th and still is...
  6. There are very few quests you can't abandon. In fact during general beta I'm pretty sure I noticed only class quests can't be abandoned. It may become a bit difficult to advance if you are trying to abandon those instead of complete them. You wouldn't be able to finish your chapters... Well I mean if you don't want to unlock legacy you can skip your class quests. However, you cannot abandon them so what you have will remain in the log.
  7. The main question would be.. have you actually been billed for your DDE yet? I apparantly made a mistake ordering through Origin. I placed an order for a physical copy back on July 21st. They said billing would start the 13th and they would ship the 16th (same day DDE's were to be emailed their code). My order is still processing... contacting "advisor's" (origin customer service) simply tell me to fear not my order is processing... um ok... Which is why I ask if you have been billed yet. If not your order is likely still "in process". If you go to the origin website and log in there (not the download client). You can then click the customer service button. When you do that you arrive at the origin help center. On the upper part of the page is a tab called: Orders & Billing When you click that you can see your order. Then you can click view order details... My guess is your order is going to show as a current order and in the order details it will have a status of: Order in Process. Which is likely why you have not recieved your code yet. Oh and yes trying to contact anyone doesn't get an answer. Even if you talk to someone they simply say your order is in process (which you can see yourself) and completely ignore the fact you were to have your code or shipping notice on the 16th.
  8. Its relevant because the topic was made as relevant to ATI. The 9700 series of video cards release back in 2002 or around there. You would likely see similar fps performance on a GeForce 4.. which was released around the same time. I have two system one with an ATI(amd) 6950 and the other has a 570 gtx (evga base model). All other hardware is the same... the nvidia card gets slightly higher maximum fps but overall the performance is pretty much the same. That's just my personal experience. My monitors default resolution is 2560 x 1440 so that's what I play at (for reference).
