  1. I understand what he was implying the lesson to be Im just saying that it is these small and infrequent events that drive people like myself to aim for BiS gear and learn tactics inside out. Its these patches that give me a reason to farm the same old junk each week. Without these things, i may as well just not play as much.
  2. What exactly would that lesson be? Not to have any interest in competing for world firsts etc? Or maybe just that its time i moved on from SWTOR. They clarified the problem now so for me personally, i can accept its more than likely the best course of action and it just sucks for me and the others who made plans.
  3. It really does matter. If the issue is something unimportant id rather just wait for that for another week and get majority of the patch tomorrow. Much rather that than wait an extra day for the whole patch.
  4. I too can appreciate that with a little more explanation. Not just a generic "it aint working". If your mechanic was due to give you your car back on Tuesday, then called you monday and said " Yo Dawg! Your car wont be ready for a while cos its still not ready" you wouldnt just say accept that. Explain what the issue is (or rather, what the issue is that we would see client side) and maybe some of the community (never all) will be able to accept that.
  5. +1 to that. Leaving it till last minute to announce it too is just bad form. I appreciate you don't want to roll out a bad patch but this delay is only really affecting your more "dedicated" subscribers... Put some effort into either : a)keeping to your own schedule. b) explaining to us what this major flaw is so we can at least understand.
  6. If you happen to be on Nightmare Lands, you can get this barrel now from : Imp Side Ezekiel or Bocephus Rep Side Qazh Its nothing to do with me, im just sharing the knowledge!
  7. Hi all, Just wanted to get the community opinion on a variation of the standard Full DF build. The standard build (for PVE) is (IMO) : http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#700bZbIZGbbkrMGdhR.2 The build im looking at going with is SLIGHTLY different : http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#700bcZbcZGbbkrMGdhR.2 The only difference is Ive dropped Independent Anarchy (+15% Dmg to Sab Charge and AoE) for an extra 3% accuracy. Getting the 3% accuracy allows me to drop 114 Accuracy from my gear to get 114 Surge (increasing my surge by 3.5%). They both seem viable but just wondered whether somebody had done the math or had any input? thanks for your time. Ejou
  8. Create an account, spend one time creating your gear set and then share ! http://swtor.askmrrobot.com/ Even if you don't use it for this thread (seeing the course it's taken isn't what you wanted) its good to be familiar with. In regards to people not answering your question, I think they have indirectly. Yes it's unusual to ask for 790 bonus healing because most PvE healers will balance out their stats to offer more is versatility. Although alacrity doesn't offer more HpF(heals per force point) it undoubtedly increases your HpS. This cn often be the difference between life and death etc. TLDR: Although the thread has become less constructive, in short, +790 bonus healing is too specific/unusual to ask for.
  9. The OP could post a askmrrobot for us if he is feeling generous! I'd love to get my sage to around that level (I'm not a big fan of crit myself).
  10. 1) never had a problem with bombers. I tend to get out 1x WS and then a speed shot/quick draw. 2) start "setting up" as the bomb carrier runs to the droid. Drop your debuffs on him etc and as soon as he's vulnerable you hurt him up. So no problem there either. 3) fearful debuff is slightly trickier than in SS. Only slightly though. You can still stay at about 33m to do WS/AS/Sped shot. You only need to be -30m for throwing dots on and Sab charge. If you know the fight and positioning, you can sit at 29m the whole time safely. Still 3) To answer your question though, when they jump together, Toth cleanses zorn (removes his DoTs) BUT if you are specced for "nice try" like 99% of PvE DFers, the 'weak' versions of both DoTs are applied. And this will damage you a lot. It's possible to survive if you pop def screen and get lots of love from your healer though!
  11. It depends entirely on what type of fight you mean and how you like to play? Sharpshooter is highly immobile (compared to the other 2) but can deal a high sustainable DPS. Also has n excellent burst. This is the most popular build and is useful in PvP and PvE. Sab I'm less familiar with but from what I've read, it's excellent for AoE and burst damage. This is generally a PVP build. DF is very mobile and has higher sustained DPS than SS (in my opinion) but has a long "set up" period where you apply DoTs. If yo mess up your rotation you'll do very little damage though. This is good for PvP and PvE. For levelling you should be looking at sharpshooter probably but I've seen a thread of two saying sab is decent for levelling.
  12. Exactly the sme as above (+Hemo blast). Casting Dots before the bomb goes off on kephess walker is essential to get your best damage output.
  13. That is absolutely an option. Arguably a better option fur sharpshooter too. I try to maintain a crit of slightly over 40% (buffed) because I am DF specced. Crit gives me more energy which means less flurry of bolts which hopefully means more DPS. The DF spec is relatively energy intensive. So if you're looking at a SS BiS, I'd agree power would be the better option ( could probably drop about 100 crit rating).
  14. Just missing those pesky Skill armorings but im almost BIS (IMO) http://swtor.askmrrobot.com/character/299097d9-a1c1-4926-b73b-b99bb99312f3 Im DF spec so i need to stack more accuracy than a Sharpshooter.
  15. Ok, im now hitting between 1600 and 1700 but to be honest, i REALLY need to refine my rotation so im sure i can improve drastically!
