  1. That's the problem with the pvp design in SWTOR. The gear gap is too huge, most of the "hardcore" pvp'ers will say it's skill difference (feel free to start flaming) but the sad reality is the finished product that we are playing was a terrible design. My sorc is over 1200 expertise if I use a HP stim (which does help) I'm close to 20k health. It's taken time and a ton of frustrating pvp matched but now I can put out 3-400k dmg out in any WZ and take a beating like the pre-50's. The gear gring from a fresh 50 to someone who has a couple months on a lv50 toon is huge, now we can augment making the veteran 50 even stronger.. another fail from the developers. Unfortunately the first couple weeks on a fresh 50 in pvp is horrible, you can stick with it until you can become competitive or roll the flavor of the month.
  2. It's a bummer that it has come to this but the gap between a new 50 and a Vet is huge. The 2-4 players with less than 15k hp is a sure loss. Why suffer through it and let the other team farm you for medals?
  3. I was another one that built a computer specifically for SWTOR. I have played several MMO's from EQ1, Rift, Eve, Vanguard, EQ2 to name a few. A couple days ago I finally un-subbed. 1) This was way too easy to level. For those of you that go back to the Ever Quest days, do you remember what it was like to max out a toon? It actually meant somethng. Now, like WoW it's immediate max level with nothing at the end. 2) Crafting...uhh was there a point? 3) Pvp, I'm a casual player. Father, husband, Gym rat, School Full time. There is no way for players like me to be competitive with the f/t players. Last week I did a stretch of pvp 2-3 hours per night, 3 nights in a row with one single win. The disparity between the new 50's and the geared 50's is just too great, not fun. My toon is a sorc, 1200+ Expertise, 18k+ Hp and I'm killed almost instantly. Being in constant WZ's with players that are less geared than myself = loss. The worst part, you can mouse over the names in the WZ on your team and see a loss coming due to the several under-geared players, not that it's their fault, the design was just too bad. 4) CC, I'm not sure why the developers decided everyone needed 2-3 stuns. As a pvp'er getting stunned than beaten on during the duration until death is pointless. 5) Augments, as I wrote above the difference between the new pvp'er and the War Hero was already too huge. Now look what happened, the allowed the War Hero player to boost stats. I do know you can boost recruit gear as well but the gap still exists. As always there is a skill involved in pvp, I know that have been doing it for years. Once gear becomes the deciding factor in win/loss the casual player enjoyment can't exist. I think I was originally hoping for a SWG 2, or a revamp complete with a Jump to Lightpeed space expansion. Space on rails was a huge letdown for me. with the time and money spent on this project and the MMO customer asking for certain things, wouldn't it have made sense to listen?
  4. I've noticed this as well. It seems that the MMO world is the only place someone can find strength to lash out at another person without the threat of retaliation. It's very easy to be 300 pounds, full of acne, live in Mom's basement but have full War Hero gear so this is your place to be awesome. Every time I hear people yelling in a WZ (I'm a pvp'r) I just picture the above person and all of a sudden I just feel bad for them. If you have a crappy life and your only place to to be great is in an MMO? I agree but, remember most of these hardcore people most likely have sad lives and actually have to live for this. Myself, I'm a bodybuilder with 3 kids an insanely beautiful wife, I don;t think I've ever needed to lash out at another player for screwing up. I see these people as sad and unimportant in, what we call "real life". Next time ignore it and picture the hater as I just laid out. Or drink, that helps too!!
  5. It can't always be oriented "North". Both teams cannot possible have two opposing northern directions. The map can always face "up", which is different from North. Snow and Grass are easy landmarks for people that understand there is no North. In fact due to this obvious attempt at trolling, I propose we start up a "Grass and Snow" campaign. In fact, we should rename "Civil War" to "Grass and Snow" Time to get out of Mom's basement me thinks
  6. Absolutely Correct! It is amazing to me that the OP who'm was most likely crying about under-population, like everyone else has the F'n nerve to complain about over-population. I wish I could say "unbelievable" but that wouldn't even convey my disgust. The throw-up taste in my mouth is a horrible gift from those people here that are now mad about server queue's..wow. I'm not 100% on board with the state of the game either but you actually complain about something they fixed for the general good of the entire community. Go troll elsewhere..

  8. All I needed to see was the addition of augment slots to all of the gear... Good Grief, now the unkillable pvp'ers will be augmented? Awesome... Absolutely nothing to address the BIG problem, low populations. But we can spend 2mill credits on legacy crap. Or Do we all just pack up and make one large move to a single server? Maybe the forum people should pick out 6 server destinations and we all flock there? Trying so hard to not un-sub but this may be it. It's too bad there is so much potential if they can get the core problems worked out.

    Now to finish the daily all we need to do is show up 6 times... That will surely encourage players to try. What was the thought behind this one? First they make people invincible with too much expertise now, all we have to do in a WZ is show up to get credit? One bad decision after another, really quite amazing there are any subscribers left.
  10. Needed, I just think it has been overdone. I'm noticing that some people have become un-killable. I think the amount needs to be cut in half.
