  1. Swtor had the biggest budget of any video game to date, and it's going F2P in about 6 months since launch. If that isn't a failure, then i don't know what is. I don't see how EA hasn't fired the top guys that are responsible for this disaster.

It's a real shame, but after all it is only to lvl 15, and I know that WILL get some people interested. I know quite a few people who would like to play SWTOR for free, obviously they would like it free to 50, but I know that may be enough to get them playing with a full sub later on, as it's not the price that is the issue, it's getting into the game.

  2. AMAZING! I gave up on the boss a couple of months ago after 30+ attempts, and made an agent. Went back today for another shot, and my 6th try I realised I had not used doc yet... Used doc, won first try, and still have 90% of my health bar still in tact!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    THANK YOU!

    EDIT:

The 30+ tries were all with scourge, the other tries that failed were with kira, and rusk, so USE DOC

  3. Hi

We have the light side, and we have the dark side, so why can't we be neutral and still have Light/dark allignment gear? I have a solution. They add an extra stat value, and call it something like 'Confidence' or 'belief'. Every time they choose a light or dark side option, it adds the same amount of belief as it does light/dark side points.

Im not explaining this very well, so look:

This shows how it would be possible to get neutral only gear, that would still require a lot of light/dark decisions, and not be usable at lvl 1.

I for one would like a neutral character (Han solo wanted to leave leia on the death star, I wouldn't call that light, but he also did a lot of light stuff, so he is neutral). Grey jedi are not light (They don't follow the order) or dark.

Please consider this for a future update, great work with the game :D

  4. Level 50

Enough said for me to see why you are bored, that is why I am level 27 after creating my character in early access and playing around 5 hours a day.

I have waited for this game for years, and I want to mess about in it! What fun is it, racing to the endgame, when you can fly off the upper cantina in carrick station onto an unsuspecting players head? and watch their reaction from beyond the grave? Why rush a great game, when you can stand on a very thin beam over a very high pit and parlour dance? And why bother skipping all the game when you can have fun? When I look back on my first few days, I don't remember completing the game, I remember my first faceplant on tython in the jedi temple.

Besides, if you don't like doing foolish stuff like that with friends, there are 8 storylines...

P.S. well done for getting to level 50

EDIT: Admittedly I would be a higher level if I had more time to play

  5. The prequels are... diffrent.

I don't HATE them, or even dislike them, but they are not as good as the good old originals. I think they are not as good because of storyline and characters.

Leia was replaced by padme, leia introduces herself battling imperials to protect stolen plans from an evil empire. Padme introduces herself watching her planet be invaded by a small faction, and lets it happen.

The bad guys in the originals are the empire, and always is the empire. They are in charge, they are bad, and the heroic rebellion are trying to topple them. The prequels are revered. The bad guys in the prequels are the trade federation, and they turn into the CIS, who turn out to be ruled by the sith who were hiding, and the good guys who are in charge, are less heroicly trying to stamp them out.

The hero in the originals is a strong hero, he rises from farm boy to war hero to the last jedi knight. He resists the dark side and stays strong. Anakin goes from slave boy, to hero, back to slightly unstable jedi, hero, unstable, evil. The hero is the pillar of any story, and anakin was not such a good pillar (Although this was intentional, but did not work out).

Villan wise, the main villan changes from maul, to dooku, to grevous and eventualy palpatine. In the originals, its vader and his master, and stays that way. People prefer this, as it makes it makes the villan seem more epic.

I don't dislike the films, I don't mind them, but they are not as good as the origninals in my opinion.

P.S. Another reason people don't like them is because their release was part of the whole star wars overhaul that stopped the original originals and replaced them with the special edition originals (The only version avaliable since 1997)

  6. Hi, I have a suggestion that could solve multiple issues in SWTOR.

On some MMO's, you have the ability to choose a server every time you log in. ie. I remember runescape had a list of worlds (1-100ish) that you chose, then logged in to, and to change worlds you just logged out and chose another, and logged in again on the same character. I think this should be in SWTOR for a number of reasons:

    A) When a server is full, people have to wait for ages to get on. I know they are trying to reduce waiting times, and this could be a solution. I see many 'light' server populations and many 'full' server populations, so If this system was implamented there would be virtualy no waiting lists.

    B) My guild was assigned to a US server (Im British), So I can't play without a fair bit of lag (Some of the lag is my ISP, But most is distance as I can play on other UK based games and have a very low ping) The lag is not unbearable, but highly irritating at times. I don't want to abandon my guild, as I was one of the first members in the guild since its formation in march, and worked hard recruiting members. Plus If I did change server, I would lose my character and friends. If this was implamented, I could stay in the guild and have less lag.

    C) People are allways saying 'Looking for a ... class for ... flashpoint/heroic' and repeating this for around half an hour. Example: A tank is looking for a healer for hammer station, and no healer turns up. On another server, A Healer is looking for a tank for hammer station, and no tanks turns up. With this, you could go to a diffrent server and team up.

    D) If you had a friend in another country (Say, a relative in australia), you would have to create a whole new character to see them, and they would have to create a whole new character to see you, and face the worlds worst lag and not be able to do a flashpoint together, as one of them is lagging out at level 6 when the other is a level 50 PvP champion (and vice versa on the other server). With this they could meet half way (So they both have a little lag, but nothing major) and work together to win eternity vault, or play huttball, or whatever they want.

    ---NOTE---

This would not involve every player crammed into 1 space, but allow mobility between servers for characters.

    ------------

I know you have 8 characters per server at the moment, so maybe add more character slots and make them for all servers

With every idea there are down sides. If you think of any, please comment below, and if possible a solution. Thanks.

This would obviosuly be huge and fairly hard to implament, so I can only be hopeful.

P.S. If not, server transfers would be an idea, although again I would be abandoning my guild and friends :(
