  1. Is it just me or are the Republic and Empire factions a little silly when you consider a character's personal darkside or lightside alignment, especially when it comes to Jedi and Sith characters. To elaborate on the Jedi/Sith side, essentially, Jedi and Sith are the same; they only differ in their philosophical views. With that in mind, shouldn't a "Sith" who is a good person, a LS Sith, defect to the Republic? Likewise, wouldn't a Jedi who is evil, a DS Jedi, fall and defect to the Empire?
  2. I edited the original post to correct the terminology.
  3. hangar, cargo bay, whatever it is. Maybe I got the name wrong but the point remains valid. I guess I was letting some EVE lingo work its way into the post. WoW has banks. EVE has hangars, and TOR has cargo bays.
  4. Much like sending your active companion off to sell junk items, I think it would be nice if we could send our active companion off to access our cargo bay. I had a couple of thoughts as to how this would work, but the one I think that works the best is this. When a player right clicks on their active companion's portrait, they would see the options to dismiss, sell junk items, or access cargo bay. If the player chooses access cargo bay, their inventory is shown in a special window that tells the player how much available space they have in their cargo bay as well as a special function labeled "Send to Cargo Bay" that would work essentially like the Reverse Engineer function in the sense that once activated, the player right clicks on any item they want sent to their cargo bay. Those items will then be highlighted to signify that they have been selected. Right clicking a highlighted item will deselect it. Once finished, the player would close the window via a "Finished" button. If the player changes their mind and would not like to send their companion away, a "Cancel" button can be clicked to cancel the whole process. Assuming the player has selected "Finish," all the items they selected are removed from their inventory and their active companion is dispatched. A 3 minute countdown timer will begin, at the end of which their companion will arrive at the cargo bay and the player will be notified via a small popup window stating "Your companion has arrived at your cargo bay". This small notification box will only have one option, "Confirm." Once the player acknowledges that their companion has arrived, another special inventory will pop up listing everything that is in their cargo bay as well as tell the player how many empty slots they have in their on-character inventory. Like the earlier special inventory window for sending items to the cargo bay, this window will have the same marking function. The player can then mark any and all items that they want returned to them. Once finished, they can click "Done" and their companion will begin the trip back, beginning another 3 minute countdown timer. Once the countdown reaches zero, the companion returns to the player and any items that the player had marked to be removed from the cargo bay will be added to their inventory.
  5. I am highly disappointed with her as a companion. The whole story of me "turning" her to the dark side was epic. Watching her be headstrong and get angry in the recordings, having her kill the assassin after I "saved" her, it was all leading to her embracing the dark side and becoming and evil, bloodthirsty little Sith. But then, she betrayed me to her Jedi master and I killed him. Even this would have been ok, she could have respected my Sith power and hungered for it herself, but then she just decided she had no choice except to come with me but is still a Jedi at heart. I am Sith, through and through, and I wanted her to truly turn, not just follow me around because she feels she has no choice. I am a new player. I've been playing less than a week. I'm told that we the players are unable to influence the personalities of our companions. This makes me sad. I think it would be awesome if we could influence the views and personalities of our companions through the dialogues that we have with them.
  6. I am a new player so forgive me if I am mistaken but I have been told that each class has a specific set of companions that they can have and that is all. I would suggest adding a location to buy and sell droids of all kinds, with a limit of one droid per character. There could be combat droids, specializing in heavy weaponry. Assassin droids, who can stealth and do assassin stuff. Medical droids that can heal you, but can also use basic pistol weapons. Utility droids that.. I don't know, do something special. Maybe they grant additional bonuses to crew skills. Anyway, I think it would be cool if we could buy a droid. I wanted a ranged companion so I spent a bunch of commendations and credits buying stuff for my ship droid then found out that though he has a mainhand slot that says ranged, he cannot actually use weapons.
  7. I am a new player. I have been finding a lot of stuff through crew skill missions that I cannot use so I wish to sell it. The problem is that I do not know what the items are exactly. Since I don't know what they are therefore I do not know what catagory and subcatagory they fall into, I cannot find them on the market to see the price that they are selling for. A search by name feature in the market would be very helpful.
