  1. The <Force in Balance> guild is recruiting. We are a small guild of experienced players who play and enjoy swtor together since beta. We are looking for new & old players of any experience and level to join us and help us expand. Our activities include pvp/pve/conquest.   2. Thank you for recognizing what's already obvious to all; you nerfed this discipline way too much so far

     

    Changes look promising, have to try to be 100% but look good.

     

    You still need to address some things like

    1)dot spreading

    2)FiB range

    3)as all said defensive cooldowns need a buff

    4)Phase walk back, what were you thinking when you removed it

    I play this game as a sub from the launch. Ever since 2.0 you & the team of devs responsible for class changes are messing with the shadows/sins. I play balance, remember? Now its called Serenity.

     

    You took from us Shadow Strike, OK you moved it to infiltration but now you have a shadow without shadow strike... You removed project from us as well... You buried back then our dps leaving us out of ops (seriously all you guys play, if you play the game at all in ops, is all classes but shadows?

     

    It took you over a year to realize how ****** the discipline was and it was only in patch 2.8 that you kinda fixed things up with Mind crush for us. But until then we lost our position in ops groups.

     

    Ever since Shadows of revan serenity is getting nerfed, patch by patch... I ll ask again, do you even play as a shadow? Ever tried to to dps as a dotter in Styrak HM/NM or Underlurker HM/NM ?

     

    You remove utilities from us only to add them to sages like Phase Walk... You continue to nerf our dps. It will be simpler and more fair to us to just say "we ll cancel this class, because we just dont like it"

     

    With the loot changes you kill all ops guilds and with the nerfs coming we ll lose our position once again in the ops group...

     

    BTW why does a DPS need to guard anyone? Usually WE need to be guarded...I mean come one really? Class Devs, shadow in particular, get paid for what they do? Pick a random member of this post and let him/her rewrite the class for you, he will do a better, much better job....

     

    Once again, we feel disappointed...

  4. People need to understand a few important things...

     

    1. This event is the equivalent of a Speedrun its meant to be a challenge to see who can get through waves of older content in a limited amount of time. I for one am happy for it because its going to be one of those events in which not many people will get.

     

    2. You only need 2 character slots, once you get one to lv 50 the check mark is checked for the achievement is completed, then you can delete the toon, even eric said this.

     

    3. Keeping in mind that this is a Speedrun, does that even change your mind?

     

    No, simple as that!

  5. I play this game since beta! I am from the launch a subs! I have achieved legendary player status, got all datacrons and basically did all the required for this event stuff during all these years.

     

    Of course I wont stop playing the game that I love, but BW once again...jeeez, epic fail!

     

    I say NO, thank you!

     

    I understand that you want to attract new players to your, our, game but this way you show no respect to the people who already done all this and paid this game all these years!

     

    I feel that sometimes you are trying so hard to disappoint your loyal player base....

     

    What a poor game planning...

  7. First of all thank you for all the effort making this great post, but there is something wrong with your calculations because, e.g. for shadow/sin serenity/hatred you have in total 11 enhancements calculated (alacrity x6, accuracy x2, critical x3).

     

    This is wrong because there are 10 items with enhancements or enhancement equal quality!

  8. Because as infiltration you have to use shadow stride with 0 stacks of breaching shadows to increase your DPS (assuming there's a dps check), so you can't save it to actually close a gap when you need it (for example, after a knockback or other mechanic).

     

    As serenity you can use it when you need it.

     

    true, still there are some "but" in my mind but this isnt the topic here :)

No, this situation is fine as is. 3 stacks of Static Charge should have been tied into Blackout with a lockout, rather than forcing us to use the ability that's supposed to make up for the jump in Force Speed cooldown. We shouldn't have to voluntarily give up mobility to increase our damage to barely competitive levels (though it used to be pretty strong). No, I'm quite happy with Hatred how it is.

     

    I agree with you that there is something problematic here and if this is not serenity, then it is infiltration.

     

    Aelanis, I dont see why you give up mobility with infiltration shadow stride, Using it not only you are closing a gap between you and an opponent (boss/add, it doesnt matter), you also get to strike it hard with force breach. And its short cooldown allows you to use it pretty fast soon.

  10. I want to bring this into the developer's attention. I am a shadow dedicated player since beta. back in 2012! My main spec is serenity/hatred & currently I started trying infiltration as well. From my experience so far, one important thing came to my attention: the use of shadow stride in serenity is problematic.

     

    Shadow Stride is the new ability the shadow/assassin gets in the new expansion. A huge gap closer, paired with the correct utilities a valuable stun breaker & an ability that boosts our dps.

     

    In Infiltration every time we use Shadow Stride we instantly get 3 stacks of breaching shadows, meaning Force Breach procs and if used deals a huge ammount of damage. Shadow Stride can be used as easily both during our normal rotation and during our execute phase. Just click it every time you want an instant, maximized Force Breach. Last but not least, during an infiltration opener, Shadow Stride gives us a third maximized Force Breach, cool right?

     

    On the other hand in Serenity the usage of Shadow Stride is not that straightforward. Using Shadow Stride in Serenity, gives you an instant Spinning Strike (execute attack). Every time? No, and here things complicate in Serenity. Shadow Stride gives the free Spinning Strike as long as it hasnt been proced from your dots (Crush Spirit passive ability gives a 30% to grant a free Spinning Strike from your dots & a 100% from Shadow Stride) during the last 10 GCDs.

    In other words, the usage of Shadow Stride is impaired cause of the dots granting a free Spinning Strike and the internal cooldown of 10 GCDs. In game, during my countless parses in Serenity, Shadow Stride is usable without any problems only during your opener. Then its usage becomes hazzy and its almost impossibel to keep track of the 10 GCDs everytime Spinning Strike procs from your dots, because Spinnign Strike always procs from the dots once or even twice during the rotational circle.

     

    Bioware needs to look into this & make changes, because in Serenity Shadow Stride usage is not what its supposed to be.

    We had to endure 1 damn year with RotHC 2.0 when you destroyed shadow balance, until 2.8 when you finally fixed our dps....

     

    You gave us a solid spot in any ops team with 3.0 and patch by patch you continue to destroy our class.... what are you thinking? You nerfed our healing... you nerfed our fib range.... now we can not spread dots in 10m around us...damn,,, we are not a melee class the way sentinels are.... stop messing things up, are you trying to make ppl top playing shadows?

     

    With the excuse of pvp balancing you destroyed our pve perfomance and you continue on doing a great job...

  12. for me more important is to fix the controls of starfighter in general. I was super excited when it was announced and super disappointed with its release. I was expecting a type of control like warthunder, the current controls feel awkward to me...

I'll agree that they should devote more time to go through things on the "other" side of what they go through first (it does seem like they expect everyone to know all the mirror names), but you must have skipped quite a bit not to pick up this particular piece of information. It was mentioned several times in all the recent streams (they originally intended for the new one to automatically replace the old ability, but they couldn't get the technology for that so we have to do it "manually").

    you are right mate, as I am a shadow I watched only shadow's stream :D

  14. First of all thank you for your replies... so serenity got 1 new ability; serenity strike ONLY....

     

    @MagikFingerz : I watched the stream closely BUT 99% of it was for the sorcerer & the assassin...how ignorant must I be not to know the names of the equivalent powers on the imp side... My allegiance is with the republic and seeing the stream, hearing only the imp abilities didnt help me that much..:D

  15. I watched the stream live last night, went over the disciplines calculator at dulfy and got confused about the usage of Vanquish & Mind Crush for Serenity shadows.

    Both abilities are identical except the fact that vanquish places a debuff on the target. Whats the point of adding vanquish to serenity if it cant he used along with mind crush?

    I mean serenity strike is different than double strike since it has a 12 sec cd and can be used once every 8 GCDs. But vanquish and mind crush share a cooldown.....

    Fellow shadows, devs can you answer me please?

  16. M-knightridder in his Mr Robot profile has: crit 376/ surge 431 / Acc 454 / power 1141, while wildbery crit 340/ surge 416/ acc 402/ power 1132.

     

    Mine are crit 348 / surge 410 / power 967/ acc 442, so I believe that this isnt the case. I know my power is lower than the above chars but I dont thnik the 400+ dps difference is justified. Something else is the faulty thingy! I will upload a 5 min parse tonight
