  1. I love affirmations that arent backed by reasons. Why? Isnt that a balancing issue that is broader? (If it is one at all)
  2. Personality-wise, I must say I prefer Aric. Although I hated him at first, I've found out he's actually quite a reasonable guy and I've actually promoted him when I got the chance. Elara is too stuck-up on rules for me to like her. M1-4X is a naive idealist... although I like his enthusiasm, I feel his worldview is too simplistic. Tanno is a bum. Dont have Yuun yet. However, being a commando, I bring M1-4X with me on every mission. Although I didnt care for the fact that he is ranged at first, since I am also and we often end up close to each other when starting fights which should be avoided to limit aoe damage, I have found that micromanaging him fixes that problem. I was thrilled to get Tanno at first as he is a melee tank, but after trying him out I still prefer the droid. The grapple pull is just to awesome for me. I guess the fact that he is fully geared helps, since Tanno in his green gear is kinda weak in comparison.
  3. But there will never be class balance, because the game is designed for classes to complement each other... Thats why 4v4 seems good to me.
  4. How does that problem affect the viability of a 4v4 deathmatch warzone specifically?
  5. I wouldnt say thats all there is to it, but i think it definitely has something to do with it. Thats why it seems to me that arenas of 4 would would be perfect as that number allows diversity which smooths out class imbalances.
  6. ... I'm not afraid, I'm talking about arenas in my post. However I think they shouldnt go under or over 4 people to fix balancing issues. If you're gonna say no at least give some reason? I'd like to hear more about how it isnt? Im still discovering the game.
  7. Seems like a nice alternative to arenas. A priori, it would be balanced around the team/role model which is the basis of the game. From what I understand, the problem with arenas in WoW was that it introduced problems by steering away from the team-based play around which the game was balanced. Are there any other arguments against it? Would you like to see it?
  8. Been thinking about lightsaber colors... this has probably been discussed already but i want my own little thread Blue should be the light side colors, red should be the dark side color, and yellow should be the neutral color. Based on this, orange should be a dark side color, green a light side color, and purple a neutral color. The primary colors could be reserved for pure alignment types and the secondary colors for mixed ones. The yellow and purple opposition is quite interesting. Yellow would represent neutrality and purple would represent high conflict. Yellow mixes the emotional detachment of the jedi with the lack of concern for the consequences of the means to an end of the sith. Purple mixes the care for moral ends of the jedi with the passion of the sith regarding the means to reach those ends.
  9. Alright, l wont give up on commando pvp healing then. Ive already switched to assault specialist, Im gonna try it out for a bit since ive been wanting to anyway, and Ill give commando healing another try once I get to or around 50. Thanks for the feedback!
  10. As I said in my first post, he is 5 levels under me. I understand the standard to judge a class is lvl 50 and geared. My post is based on first impressions, and I was asking for other viewpoints, because if the healing spec isnt designed for pvp as I suspect I will drop it and go dps.
  11. That seems like a valid point, thanks
  12. Im comparing the performance of two classes before 50, where one does up to 2.5 times as much healing as the other.
